This is the way to go
Used to use newspaper under the charcoal canister. Never again, this is quicker, easier and safer!! Should have done this a long time ago. IMHO!! :)

So easy to use. I like this because lighter fluid seems to give its flavor to the food. Just don't leave it for longer than recommended time because it will burn!

Lights my fire
Not anything complex about this charcoal starter, plug it in and it works. Takes about 15 minutes to get a full flame throughout my smoker.

Great for windy areas
This is the best method I have found to get charcoal going. It's pretty windy up in North Texas and I've tried all kinds of methods to get charcoal going, to no avail. The coals cannot get lit due to the wind. But I stick this bad boy in the little charcoal chimney and pour coals around it. Pull the starter out after 10 minutes and let the coals keep going. Works like a charm.

Great for starting the BBQ at home!
This is a well constructed charcoal starter that is at a steal of a price and extremely easy to use. Simply sandwich the loop between a layer of charcoal and plug in. In no time at all (<5 min), the charcoal is lit and just need to wait for the grill to get up to temperature and ready to cook; one less step compared to staring with, fuels, starters, or even a chimneys considering it can all be done in the grill. In terms of cons, I wish the cord was a bit longer and you'll need to find a safe spot to put it while it cools down after everything is lit. But as long as you have an extension cord, this isn't really a big issue. Overall, love how this simplified my charcoal BBQ experience. Adding a hot air gun along with this makes getting everything ready even faster! Highly recommended for home charcoal BBQ, much more economical compared to constantly having to buy lighting fluid / starter blocks.

Quick and Easy!
This is the best and fastest way of starting up any charcoal BBQ! Wow! Just set it down in the bbq pile some charcoal on top of it and plug it in! Within 5 minutes you have some hot glowing coals. Unplug and gently rotate to remove the hot iron so that you don’t disturb the hot coals too much, set the iron aside to cool, and either fan the coals with a frisbee like I do to get them all to burst into flame like I do, or wait a bit for that to happen in its own! Then simply spread out the coals, throw on the juicy steaks, and cook those bad bits to perfection! Buon Appetite!

Great for my Vision Grill Egg
I bought this to primarily heat my charcoal in my Vision Grill egg. I put it in, add charcoal and walk away. About 10-15 mins later the coals are piping hot and I can close the lid on my egg and let the heat rise.. usually to somewhere around 450-550 degrees. One unit died on me but I used it probably a couple hundred times so I'd say I got my money out of it. When it did die, I bought another Char Broil Charcoal starter. No complaints at all.

Practico y rápido
Prender el carbón es un arte, de esto no hay duda. Pero tampoco hay duda que este iniciador ayuda muchisimo. Lo colocas, apilas el carbón, lo conectas (no tiene interruptor por lo que comienza a calentarse en cuanto se conecta a la luz) y a los pocos minutos ya el carbón está ardiendo. Se desconecta y hay que tener precaución al retirar pues la resistencia queda al rojo vivo y se coloca a un lado a dejar enfriar. Por esta practicidad es que le doy 5 estrellas.

El mejor encendedor de carbón
En mi opinión es el mejor tipo de encendedor de carbón, tenia uno igualito sin marca que me duró mas de 20 años hasta que se me rompió la resistencia. Acabo de comprar este por aquí pero hasta ahorita lo he usado solo una vez y me sirvió de maravilla. Igual al que tenía! En 15-20 mins me tiene el carbón en flamas! Muy recomendable, me gusta mas que los de Weber y esos sofisticados
