This is awesome.
I used it to get my windshield out and my back window in my truck out. This was just what I needed. Worked great was made very strong and sturdy.

Used to cut Tahoe/Yukon window out of the junkyard.
I used this to cut the rear panel side glass out of GMC Yukon at the junkyard to replace a shattered one in my Tahoe. It did the job but took me quite a while. You have remove interior trim and cut glass from the inside. I think its easier this way. Plus you won’t scratch the paint as much. Make sure you replace blades with fresh ones once you think the cutting of polyurethane has gone stale. I picked up a pack of Milwaukee blades at HD for about 2 bucks. In short, this will help cut glass out of a car, you just have to find what works best for you. I saved like $300 doing the job my self. You can also buy the 3M window glue here on Amazon to glue your glass. It’s about $27 bucks.

Sturdy, but 2 problems with the blade holder screw.
For a better picture, look at the KTI Windshield knife here on Amazon. My ATD knife has a blue 'pipe' handle, and the KTI has red, but other than that, it looks exactly the same to me... KTI (KTI-70545) Windshield Knife I'm comparing this knife to the Albion Caulk knife. ATD knife is half the price of the Albion. The bar that holds the blade is 5/16" thick on the ATD; 1/4" thick on the Albion. The 25% thicker ATD bar has square corners; the Albion bar has round corners. The Albion bar is welded to the pipe handle. The ATD bar is held inside the pipe . handle with 2 set screws. The Albion blade holder 'post' is more distinct with a better 'fit' into the blade slot. The ATD blade holder screw is too long, sticking out the other side by over 1/8". The screw is ALSO is the wrong head type. It is a "raised countersunk" head, . instead of a flat countersunk. So the head sticks 'up' from the bar, creating a totally . unnecessary 'catch point' near the blade, instead of fitting flush. I *had* to grind down that ATD screw to fit; Both sides sticking out was too much for me... The Albion screw comes with the right length and head type screw, fitting flush on both sides. The 'pipe' handle of the ATD knife is 1 3/16" diameter, with a plastic 'plug' that fits in the end. . The hollow handle can be used to hold spare blades, and the plug holds them in. . The Albion knife has a 1" diameter pipe handle. No place for extra blade storage. ATD knife comes with a neoprene handle pad. Nice and spongy. It is easy to remove if . you don't like it. Albion has no neoprene pad included (I'm not sure I'd use it anyway . as it makes the ATD handle almost uncomfortably large diameter). Look and Feel: The Albion knife looks and somehow "feels" more 'solid', more like something you'd see a professional using. Like it will stand up better over time and hard use. But for now, while it is new at least, the ATD is solid too.

Works well, made cutting out the back window in my truck a lot easier!!
Worked well to cut out the back window in my truck. I originally tried using a folding utility knife, which worked, but took a lot of effort and caused a few blisters from my rubbing on the window. This longer knife made it a lot easier and a lot more controllable with the long handle to grab with my other hand. There is a cap in the handle so you can store spare blades in the handle if you choose but I left that out as I can't seem to get it to fit very well and it keeps falling out. I also prefer to keep my blades in the dispenser they came in until I'm ready to use them. I haven't tried it yet but I imagine this knife would work well for cutting house carpet too.

it takes some work to find a good technique for use
It is essentially an oversized razor knife. The better the blade you use with it, the better it works. Best bet for successful use is to cut into the urethane at an angle, keeping the dull edge of the blade at a 90 degree angle to the urethane your trying to cut with it, making several passes to fully cut through it.

It’s ok
It’s almost like a plastic toy you can hear every part moving when you shake it, don’t know how much longer itll hold up but it does its job
