Neat box

I keep several sewing machine bobbins pre-filled with different colors of thread. I bought this box to hold all my bobbins and it works great! I had been using a baggie and this is much better!

Handy Little Box

As a historic dressmaker, I sew all the time. I work on a variety of projects, so I have dozens of spools of thread, all different colors. At first, I kept my bobbins in the drawer of a small tabletop plastic dresser, but they got all mixed up, the threads came loose and tangled together, and I had to rummage around to find the color I needed. So I went looking for a cheap way of organizing my bobbins. I found this nifty little box and I couldn't be happier with it! It's small, so it doesn't take up much room, but it holds a lot of bobbins. It has five rows for you to place your bobbins in. I organize mine by color, so I just have to scan the rows and find the color I need. The lid easily snaps open and shut. My only complaint is that the rows aren't sized quite right, so you have enough space left at the end of the row that the bobbins rattle around a bit, but not quite enough space to fit an extra bobbin in. It's a little frustrating, but not a big deal. Perhaps they did this in order to fit different types of bobbins? In any case, I love this bobbin box. Actually, mine is full and I've resorted back to tossing bobbins in my little drawer again, so I think it's time to buy a second one! Five stars, highly recommended.

I now have four of these bobbin. I may even need additional boxes when I finally get around to learning the new sewing machine. This is a bobbin box that really makes sense. It lies flat and stacks beautifully in a drawer or on a shelf. Makes much more sense that molded boxes that will only hold a certain amount and no more. These boxes hold 30 bobbins for sure, and if you turn three rows of them sideways, you can actually get 35 bobbins in each box. A timesaver, especially if you have a tendency to prewind white, black, and neutral bobbins in advance for large or constant use of these colors.

Disappointed

This is handy - BUT - Not for Bobbins! Trying to get the bobbins out of the box is not easy at all - but I have found another use for it with my craft items. It is a shame really - as I did buy a Bobbin box of a diff sort b4 on Amazon and the bobbin part was great - but that one did not click closed - so if you happen to knock it and it falls! Then all the bobbins end up on the floor - whereas this one Clicks closed, so if they got together to make a Bobbin box like the other ones inside and give it a click close like this one - then all would be well with the world :o)

Organise your bobbins!

As my bobbin collection started to expand I needed someway of organising them. Problem solved! This small plastic box is the ideal solution. It is approx 15x9x3.3 (as per the stated dimensions) and had a hard plastic shell and hinged lid with small permanent compartments which hold the bobbins. I read the reviews before I purchased this, but so far, I've had no negative issues and for a couple of quid, it's doing the job perfectly! My daughter now wants one to hold her beads and other craft items and I would imagine it could be used to organise many other small items so it seems to be quite a versatile little box.

Great idea I would like it a little bigger if I’m being honest Would love to be able to put them all in the same box!
