lots of pros, a few cons; all in all good value for the price, would buy again :-)
UPDATE after 1.5 years: This cat tree is still holding tight, and is a family favorite! We have to tighten the screws every few months--especially the one between the top pole and the box that it rests on, both because of the cats scattering up it, and because of my daughter spinning it to get the cats to face her (no, she is not supposed to do that)--it tends to loosen over time. It has lived through our beautiful stripey cat becoming full-grown and quite gloriously tough and pudgy, AND through the adoption of a new lil black kitten--which means LOTS of fierce up and down and aroundness and swats and jumps and knocks. They use the top spots the most--the top plate is the favorite napping spot in the house; the brown "cat scoop" is the second favorite--but they do use all parts of it, disincluding the ladder (which I love for its adorableness). We do still keep toys in the hammock for the most part--they get in that the least. Oh, and our stripey cat eats every string that she can find anywhere, so we had to trim the fray from the hanging rope so that she would stop ingesting it--it is bone-straight now and looks sad, but your cat is probably less ridiculous than ours. The screws not screwing flush to the surface has never seemed like an issue. The cats never sleep in the box (that has the protruding screw), but maybe they wouldn't anyways--they like being up high. Amarkat never sent me a replacement box for the one that was burned (just a sightly problem; no functional issues) during manufacture/shipping! :-( It does sway when they play vigorously--we thought about bolting it to the wall, but they seemed to like it just fine like this, and it's never come close to falling--I figure it's like that Ani song about buildings and bridges being made to bend in the wind because what doesn't bend breaks. <3. It took the two of us about an hour to put together, with her being super driven and delegatey. :-) You do have to push the screws through the fabric, like others said, but the holes in the fabric are started for you, and the implement that you're screwing in (a pole or whatever) covers the spot and will thus prevent any fraying. It was a fun family project. After assembly, it still seems solid and pretty. The kitten likes it! So far her main activity is to stand on top of the box and bat at the rope. She has also explored the rest and chewed on the rope ladder a little. She hasn't ventured into the brown "cat scoop" (daughter's term) or hammock, or slept in any part of it yet--she still prefers sleeping on top of our mouse's cage (super fun for the mouse) or curling into our potted plants SIGH--but my fingers are crossed. It was easy enough for me (alone) to push across our (carpeted) floor after assembly--it doesn't require you to get a moving crew if you want to rearrange your living room. THE CONS: It's a little wobbly--the structure itself is sound, but just tall, and with maybe a narrower and lighter base than would be completely ideal. When our energetic baby frolics around, it jiggles a bit. We wonder whether she'd feel more secure, and more likely to sleep on it, if it were more stable? We're going to look into bolting it to the wall and will get back to you. :-) There was visible glue (like hot glue) at many junctures--mostly at the places that the thick rope attached to the red-orange rubber stoppers. I was able to pull the worst of it off--you know hot glue--but a fair amount remains, which seems not entirely safe, especially since the kitten chews on the ropes. The box part (third level down from top) came with a brown streak across its outside, maybe half an inch wide and 4 inches long, that my daughter said "looks like feces," lol. Upon further inspection, it did not appear to be feces, but rather a place that the fur was burnt / melted during the manufacturing process. I trimmed it off with haircutting scissors, which worked--the pile of the fur is shallower there now, and that is visible, but because the fur is velvety / changes color when wiped from side to side, the mark looks normal/natural, and isn't noticable unless you get up close. Still, it happens to be on the side that faces the dining room and hallway, and if Armarkat wants to send me a replacement box, I won't fight them. :-) A few of the screws don't screw in flush to the surfaces--notably the two at the top of the ladder, which protrude above at about the height and size of a pencil eraser (slightly wider) and worry me a little--what if the kitten happens to hit her head on them or something? Can I cover them with something? Putty and fabric? Taking recommendations. Most of the other screws that show have wide flat tops like little dinner plates, so there isn't this problem, BUT the one in the far corner of the box (a dinner plate type) wouldn't go flush no matter how many times we tried. Maybe we weren't getting it into the hole straight--it's a very tough spot to reach and to manipulate within--but we tried SO many times. In the end, it remains about 4mm above the surface, and the little dinnerplate of it is about an inch across, so I worry that it will be uncomfortable if our kitten tries to curl up in the box. But maybe I'm being too precious. So far, a solid purchase! We'll update after some time has passed. :-)

My cats love it
This is actually my second time purchasing the same tree. The first one lasted almost ten years. Since that time, we had gotten a puppy that unfortunately had gnawed all around the areas he could reach, leaving it in a pretty ugly state. One of my cats loves the basket so much (a daily napping spot) that over the years it developed a tear that grew and grew, until his poor little booty would be hanging out of the hole that had formed haha. I saw this on sale and knew it was time for a replacement. Besides the unsightly chewed up spots from the dog, some fading, and the well-loved basket, the original cat tree is actually still in pretty good condition. I may even decide to just move the old one to a spot where it wouldn’t be visible to guests and put the new one where the old one is. As far as putting it together, my husband and I did it together pretty easily. You could do it by yourself, you don’t need a second person. I do wish that the instructions were a bit more clear, and maybe separated into a couple more steps. It helps to compare it to a picture of the finished product. We weren’t missing any pieces. I did notice that there was more glue showing on some of the pieces than on the original one, but at the end of the day it’s a cat tree so I what am I going to do about it. Because of how tall this tree is, I definitely recommend having it in a corner, or at least up against a wall. My cats love this tree and I’m happy to make them happy ????

Great quality and easy to assemble
I researched for a few months and am glad I chose this tree! The quality is great - can tell it will hold up well. My kitten loves the scratching posts as much as climbing it. Assembly was so easy! Very easy to follow instructions and all parts clearly marked and well packaged. My only struggle was the screws to attach the ramp - I think they could've been a little longer but finally got them in. I have it in a corner - was a little wobble when away from the wall. It was stable but is more so with wall support. Would give 5 stars if 2nd level L shapes shelf extended further on side without the ramp to allow another option up/down from the towers. They have to land on the condo to get up/down which is a little tight when 2 cats are in the same area. However, the flow is much safer and stable than many others I looked at. It's also attractive and neutral. Haven't had it long enough to comment on cleaning.

My 2 Bengals love it!
I had a cheaper cat tree before but it didn't last long. This one is prettier than the picture and it's worth it.

The tree itself is a good tree. Shipment was... well... Bad
This tree itself is beautifull. I can't wait for my cat to see it. I'll post an update when he gets on it. It seems stable for now and it is really tall and great in my living room. If you buy this tree, it's a good one and it is pretty. UPDATE: My two cats LOVEs it. They are on it all the time, they sleep all the time in it. My bengal actually still fits in the basket, but i'm scared he's going to break it one day. It hasn't yet so it's a plus. The bad side of this are on the shipment but I don't know who's fault it is. Pros: It arrived in 4 days when it was actually supposed to arrive in 10. Cons: The box arrived completly openned and ripped, No atempt was even made to close it with tape... at least... I mean... but nothing was missing by chance. The condo corner was broken. The wood was cracked and ripped... Kind of disapointed in that. We decided to keep it as is, but for 200$ I would have liked for this to actually be in perfect condition. I don't know at what point the box got ripped openned, or the condo broken but some attention to this would have been appreciated at least. I don't know who's fault it is (amazon, purolator or Armakat) but someone didn't care enough.

Very good quality for the price. Big, multi level cat perch satisfies our cats whole heartedly.
Our cats love this tree and use it constantly. When I was assembling it the kittens (fully grown now) sat on the various levels and made it difficult to get it all together! The five cats can all be on it at once and they all have enough room to climb, scratch and perch. It is not difficult to put together, but I always prefer written instructions with diagrams rather than just diagrams, so that could be improved. The top perch is quite high up - I needed to stand on a kitchen step to put it on but it goes on easily. My cats vy for the top position and do not have a problem getting on to it but an older cat might. The faux fur looks good and is not meant to provide cushioning, but our cats get very comfortable on it anyway. The sisal scratch posts are high enough for the cats to get a good stretch. I have not seen anyone use the ladder, no, so you could leave it off, but some of them like to bite it, so it's all good.

Great for larger Cats
Bought this cat trees since I have 3 Siberian Forest Cats. My "Little Man" is 23 Pounds and the other 2 are 17 and 16 pounds. I wanted a cat tree that wouldn't snap and fall apart when it has 23 pounds of fur flying at the posts. Only thing, is the basket is rather small. If you have normal sized cats then you have no problem. My largest cat is determined to sleep in it however.. yet he falls out on a regular basis.. However the post supporting the suspended basket can easily hold that weight without breaking! This is an amazing cat tree and very easy to assemble and clean hair off of! Holds up well to constant scratching without the rope unraveling too :)

Good looking cat tree
I installed it easily, everything was labelled correctly. The set is not wobbly as I thought it would be. However, the materials used seem to be on the cheap side. The covering material seems to be thin and I am not sure for how long will last. I also discovered some minor quality control issues, nothing too big. If I could make a comment on the design, my cat is only interested in one third of the things available on this unit. Seeing that the tree is expensive, I now question my buying decision but every cat is different... All in all, I would recommend this unit
