The cats approve

My cats have never had a cat tree and both of them fell in love with this thing like it was the Palace of Versailles. It took my husband about an hour to set up with only a small handful of curse words. The orange one couldn’t (wouldn’t) jump his chonky body on anything but the kitchen sink until this entered the house. Now, both cats live on this jungle gym. It’s where they demand treats, petting, and cat weed. They hide their favorite toys in the cubby hole. The chonky orange one is about 15lbs and makes the entire thing wobble when he jumps on the top shelf. (It has never fallen over) The black and white one is about 13lbs and is more graceful, though a bit more acerbic in general. I can’t believe we lived without one of these tree things for so long. Oh! Luckily, it doesn’t have hideously ugly carpeting that makes every cat toy look like a sad beige rental apartment. I’m not a huge fan of the metal thing that juts out of the top shelf that the toys dangle from, but that silly orange boy loves rubbing his head on it. Hopefully, he won’t poke an eyeball out. Get one. Your cats will love you more.

Solid Cat Tree

My cat is creeping on 15 years old and I didn't want him making big jumps. Thought this tree would be good to help him get up and down his favorite spot by the windowsill. He uses it like step to go up, but still jumps down from the second level height. There might not be enough space between level 2 and level 1 for a senior cat to comfortably jump down from. I will be looking into crafting a ramp attachment. that can be attached somewhere. The box part of the tree was actually a bit confusing to put together. You can easily switch the sides to "customize" it. The product came dusty and spilled silica gel balls everywhere! I did wish I could pick which side I'd like to attach the toy ornament to, but there's less leniency with that. It is compressed wood and not actual cuts of wood, but it still feels quality so I don't mind. Overall very sturdy and fits adult cats. My cat is a about 10lbs, but I'm sure it'll fit chonkier cats easily. Don't regret this buy, but there is room for improvement :)

So far so good

I like the price of this tree and that it’s not your typical “ugly” tree. I was looking for something that would blend into the room and I think this does a good job of that. My kittens are using the box for naps. I can’t speak for how it will hold up but if something negative happens I’ll update my review.

Vesper is the only brand we buy now

Have 3 vesper cat trees and the best part about owning a vesper is you can easily go on their website and buy replacement parts. They are also very elegant and sturdy, no need to hide this as it fits well with other furniture in the home especially if you have wood floors. Great product

my cat and i love this so much!!!

perfect size for my room! not too big and not too small. my cat didn’t really use this much at first but after i consistently put treats on the different levels he started going there on his own. when i’m not home i see him through the window perched up on the top, and sometimes he likes to sleep in the little house. it’s very simple and stylish. the string toy did break pretty early on but it’s nbd really, i do wish the top level had some borders so it would be less likely for him to fall. otherwise, i love it!

Mostly good midsize cat tower.

First, the tower is easy to install using the video instructions on the Vesper website. The paper instructions with the cat tree lacked minimal detail to demonstrate the difference between a few similarly sized pieces. The video was easy to follow. The tree itself seems fairly stable. The cat and kitten have been making good use of it. Labels seem to indicate that the pads are hand-wash only, but overall, I think this will be easier to keep clean than a carpeted tower. There is one flaw, not with the tower itself but with the toy that hangs from the top. It seems poorly designed, as a small knot is what holds each whicker ball into place. The bottom ball came off in a day. I tied it back on in a manner that would hold as long as the string held together. The middle ball was pulled from its knot a couple of days later, which is more difficult to fix. I will probably find something to replace this toy that will last.

Very nice cat tree

This is the nicest cat tree that I have seen. The finish is very nice; it is a piece of furniture. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. I had one problem: the velco strips on the top shelf that secure the cushion were on the bottom of the shelf rather than the top. I contacted customer service. They requested pictures of the shelf, and promptly replaced it.

Livré avec visserie, trois coussins en mousse viscoélastique, un tapis à griffer, fixés par scratches (à l’exception de celui de la cabane), tous amovibles et facilement nettoyables, jouet suspendu et notice de montage. L’assemblage ne pose aucune difficulté. Fabriqué en MDF (fibres de bois compressées), il pèse son poids (plus de 20 kg), assurant une stabilité à toute épreuve. Les poteaux griffoirs, quant à eux, sont recouverts de jonc de mer, matière d’expérience plus résistante que le sisal face aux griffes de nos amis félins. Côté dimensions, mesurées : - Pour l’ensemble, un encombrement d’environ : H 120 x l 70 x P 55 cm - Base : L 65 x l 65 cm - Cabane à deux ouvertures, dimensions intérieures : L 34 x l 34 H 32 cm. - Plateau supérieur : L 55 x l 28 cm - Plateau intermédiaire : L 55 x l 28 cm - Épaisseur des plateaux : 1 cm - Épaisseur des coussins : environ 1 cm Cet arbre à chat reste « de marbre » face aux assauts de 7 chats, tous très turbulents, et dont l’un pèse 7 kg. Ce dernier affectionnant particulièrement la cabane, même s’il en « déborde » quelque peu, cela ne semble pas le gêner outre mesure (cf. 2ème photo). Tous aiment y faire la sieste. Depuis son achat début juin 2017, celui-ci se montre robuste et résistant à tous points de vue. Assurée que ces qualités perdureront à long terme, au contraire des nombreux arbres à chats que j’ai pu acquérir et qui n’auront pas survécu plus d’une année. Exception faite, du produit suivant, plus haut (141 cm), robuste et très stable à condition, face à des chats turbulents, de l’adosser à un mur. Acheté en 2014, il a vaillamment résisté. Puddy Tat’s New Hang-Out - Approved!

Arrived the day after order. Was super easy for even an amputee with only 1 hand like me to put together in just over an hour and is very sturdy, only wobbling slightly even with 10kg of cat flinging himself at it with great vigour. The pads appear very comfortable as ‘His Lordship’ has taken to laying out full stretch on the upper deck pad and curled up on the pad fitted in the through and through box. He thoroughly enjoys the sisal scratching posts and the scratchy nature of the round fabric pad between the box and the top deck. The string and sisal balls have been given short shrift and are already at deaths door but that was always going to happen. The only thing I don’t care for or rather, I worry about is the metal post that sticks out from the upper deck like a metal ruler from which the string and balls dangle from. I do worry that, although it is blunt, the terrific speeds at which my boy throws himself at his ‘cat condo’ I worry that this metal prong sticking out could cause him an injury so I think I will remove the screws and take the metal prong off altogether, that wat there can be no worry for me and no high speed accidents for my lovely lad. Other than that, I’d recommend this item so far. I can not vouch for how heard wearing it is as we have only had it for a week, I will update this review in say, 6 months. All other cat trees, scratch posts etc have been rubbish and lasted no more than a couple of weeks with the exception of one rather expensive lotus flower cat tree from zooplus bought for him 3 years ago when I first got him. Despite being slightly chewed, it has lasted well and been the best one of the lot - until now. Merry Catmas Feline Fans. X

Beautiful but cat doesn’t use it for scratching

It is the most good looking cat tree i have ever owned. My cat is slow to warm up to it, she still won’t scratch it (she prefers her old tree for scratching) but hangs out in the cube or ok the top shelves every now and then. Update: after over 6 months, the cat tree is adopted. The top shelf in particular is a well liked spot - funnily enough she goes up there when she wants a brush session! My cat still prefers to scratch her old tree and I haven’t made efforts to switch her interest to this one, but it looks the material is not as “scratch attractive” to my cat. Update after 2 years: the toy balls fell apart after 1 year, even though she rarely plays with them. She still likes every now and then to go on top when she wants something, but she has never used it for scratching. Her old tree is now falling apart from over-scratching, and since she won’t touch this one I have to get her a new one. All in all it’s beautifully-made piece of cat furniture, but it’s never been good for its intended purpose: scratching. Update: I added a hammock to the tree and it’s been the perfect addition. My cat loves it. She still hasn’t scratched that tree since I got it (it’s been years), but it’s she’s been hanging out on top, in the little house and in the hammock depending on her mood.

Brilliant piece of furniture

What a beautiful product. It took me a while to justify spending so much money on another scratching post but I’m glad I did. The quality is amazing and I love the removable fluffy mats which means cleaning is a breeze. Also, the actual scratching posts are sturdy and they are not going to be ruined within a few weeks or start unscrewing themselves until everything falls apart. My cat loves it and so do I. We have a new kitchen with oak windows and this piece of furniture fits there perfectly.

sturdy, attractive, fairly easy to assemble

It is sturdy, well made, fairly easy to assemble and looks attractive. However, we had to customise it (by drilling some new holes) as our cat didn't like the way it is configured. We turned the cat box 90degrees so she could walk directly in from the lower platform, rather than sideways), and placed the top platform about 7cm backwards, so that she could jump from it to the box at a gentler angle.
