My cat took to it right away.
Simple to put together. No frills, scratch posts with platforms. Looks clean. Is stable.

Not what I ordered, but..
I had ordered the 3 tier tower with the two platforms and the box as a base. However, I received more of a double scratching post with a hammock type thing on top. I dont think what I got was worth what I paid, or more of, i wouldn't have Willingly paid this much on this product. But keeping it is easier than sending it back and waiting for a new one. So that's 2 stars off. But it did come 2 days early. As for the product I received, there is nothing wrong with it. It's actually quite nice, but I would've only paid like $18 for it rather than $23. Still, it is sturdy, seems durable, is made of good material, and easy to assemble. The base and hammock are covered in a soft fur-like material, it's quite thick and hasn't been coming out or shedding much. The hammock is fully supported with a thick frame. The scratching posts are well assembled and rigid. Also haven't had any cats get their claws caught yet. Assembly was simple; screw posts into hammock, attach base to posts. They included an alan wrench to put the screws in. I originally ordered the tree because I recently found 4 stray kittens and have been raising them. They have reached the age of active play and learning about their claws. So I needed something they could scratch and climb. (I also thought the box would make a cozy nest for them, but they prefer sleeping on the dog bed anyway..) I also have two 1 year old cats (brothers from last years stray litter) that like to rough house. After a week of use it's still very sturdy, nothing is loose or peeling off, nothing bent. The hammock easily supports them without straining, even my older/bigger cats. Still disappointed I didn't get what I had ordered, but the cats seem happy with it so oh well.

Cats love it but could be more sturdy
My cats love it they immediately started playing on it when I put it together my only complaint/concern is how sturdy it is it is very wobbly and they’ve almost flipped it several times by playing on it.

Really good value!
It's great quality and my cat uses every part of it, but he has knocked it over a couple of times too. So, if your cat is very active, consider an adhesive or some other way to hold it to the floor. Totally worth a little extra effort for the low price and high quality.

Thoroughly unimpressed
I was a little skeptical of this cat tree based on its price and the the fact it looked questionably designed in the pictures. So far my concerns appear to have been warranted. First of all, good luck being able to assemble the tree. There are a total of nine total components that make up the tree — the base, two posts, two platforms, and four pieces of hardware. When I received the tree, one of the pieces of hardware was missing. Instead of sending me replacement hardware, Amazon sent a whole other tree and told me to return the one that was missing hardware. Fortunately I held onto the original until the replacement was received because — wouldn’t you know it — the replacement was missing hardware, as well. Between the two sets of hardware, I had just enough pieces to assemble the tree. Now that the tree is up and in use, I’m not optimistic it will last a year. My cat is barely six months old and the tree sways back and forth when he jumps on it. I put on work gloves when screwing on the posts and have triple checked the hardware to make sure all the pieces are as tight as possible, and it still sways. I’ve added rug grippers to the bottom of the base to hopefully add some stability. Without the rug grippers, the tree slid around on my hardwood floor. Lastly, because each platform connects to the posts near one of the corners of each platform, they are already sagging a little bit from my cat’s weight. Between the swaying and sagging issues with a six-month-old cat, I have to imagine these issues will only worsen as my cat grows. Don’t buy this cat tree. Trixie clearly isn’t interested in quality or capable of quality control. Trixie definitely isn’t interested in its carbon footprint. Spend the extra $10-$20 for a better tree. I wish I had.

Good purchase for the price.
Very nice for the price. I was surprised with how nice this is. Sturdy and great post and great carpeting. Definitely not for huge cats. My cat is 12.5 pounds and can squeeze into the bottom just fine (some cats like to squeeze into spots and hide so if yours does.. this is great!). For smaller cats the bottom portion would be a good resting place in their own little hide out but for large cats its a squeezing spot to play around in. The upper levels are larger than I thought. For my cat, they are good for sitting on and perching on, and can lay down, but not stretch out. For small cats and kittens - perfect. My can can easily perch on it and look out the window. I agree with other comments that a simple small L-bracket mounted from the top or middle perch levels to the wall adds security to this as it is NOT bottom heavy and if you do have a large cat like I do, and they jump from the top, it will tip over. This whole thing is not heavy at all. So a simple small L-bracket mounted from one of the perches to the wall solves this issue. This is a great buy.

Not bad!
My cat loves this (not evidenced by the photo since he's sitting on the windowsill next to it but bear with me) He hated it when I first put it together because it was too wobbly on the carpet. I took the top shelf off and combined it with the middle shelf, so he has a wide window-height platform to relax on. He spends hours sprawled out up there watching birds and squirrels. Overall this was a solid purchase, I got a "used" version for $17 so my expectations weren't high.

Very Wobbly
Loved this when it arrived.As the platforms are nice and thick and lovely soft fabric Was even easy to put together and my cat was soon jumping up on it investigating But here is where the problems started.Because of the way the platforms attach at the side and not central the whole thing wobbles everytime the cat jumps on and off.Moving the platforms around to get a balance only helped a little bit so we had to leave it right next to a wall to give some stability However bought this in Feb and now its Sept one of the attachments to the bottom platform has come away completely leaving a gaping hole where the nuts/bolts were meant to be and we had to dismantle and re attach the top platform to make a base and just 1 platform my cat can use.This is still left by the wall to keep it stable.It seems it may have just wobbled its way loose as so unstable and was unrepairable Shame its passed the Amazon return policy or it would have been sent back

Great
I bought this even though the reviews were not very good, so I knew what to expect. Yes, it is a little wobbly, but I wanted it to go next to another post, wedged next to a wall and a bookcase, so it's ideal. Not too wide, but tall enough for my cat to have a good scratch. She has been in the cave part every day, and eats her biscuits on the top level! She loves it.

Despite the cat's best efforts it's lasted for three years.
I bought this nearly three years ago and the cat has finally managed to kill it off, as a result of daily and really quite determined efforts. I agree with other reviewers saying it's a bit wobbly because the platforms are offset but if you steady it against a wall it's fine. Most of the wear has been on the scratch posts themselves (naturally) but since the structure can be taken apart and reassembled - i.e. posts turned over and top and bottom posts switched round - you can stretch its life out a good while. I've got no hesitation buying the same model again.

Pole wobbles
Pole is very unsteady and doesn't screws don't tighten, it needs to be propped up against the wall. I expected better quality from a Trixie product.

My cat loves it
Big enough for 3 adult cats. Easy to move around the house. The cats like it as a place to sleep / hide and play. The three levels gives them the chance to follow the sun or the shade.
