Fast service and well made
Makes cooking egg dishes a snap and pretty shape

came warped, will not relax into circle
it was folded in two in the packaging, developed a permanent bend and creates a weird oval in the pan. I have to balance a spoon just right on the edge of the pan to squish it back into shape - that's after turning it inside out, leaving it clamped the other way to take the bend out of the silicone, heating it and relaxing it, and a few other attempts to rescue it. bc of the distortion, it also doesn't sit flat so my food leaks out from under the edge. I'm going to buy a metal 6" ring instead.

Better than I expected
Better than I expected. Does well on my cast iron pan as long as the heat is within it's range, which on my stove is mid-low. I suppose it would be very easy to melt this thing at higher temperatures, but those would also burn my pancakes to a crisp. Batter does stick to it a little when you lift it off the pancake, particularly if you are making thick pancakes that max it out. However, not much sticks and it is very easy to wipe off. If you put a thing on a 400° surface and let it sit there for a few minutes, it will be very hot. So don't try to wipe it off with your bare hand and use common sense in where you set it down. It does not retain heat for very long.

perfect pancake sized, even if they do wobble in shape a little bit
Oiling the edges makes this slip off food easily, the sides are high enough to allow for batter to expand, the sides are slightly wider at the bottom than the top, adding stability, and the handle toggle is in the middle of the band, so nothing sticks above the rim on either side if you position the handle wire parallel with the ring, and the silicone is floppy enough to form a good seal with the pan below it. (these are features I din't know that other egg ring companies got wrong until I got a pretty set of blue silicone kitchenware that included two egg rings rendered unusable by the handle toggle being off center enough to stick over the rim to one side making it unable to lie flat or prevent run-off, they were also too stiff to form a proper seal even on the side that "should" have worked). Note that it is difficult to position so it makes an exact circle because it is so floppy, but the floppiness is what makes it actually function well.

It is a nice gadget that helps getting thicker pancake
It's a silicone rings thus very flexible. Yes, the batter sticks to the ring but once you lift the ring slowly, the pancake detaches and stays on the pan and then you can flip it. Another way of using this ring is making a thick pancake that is level with the top of the ring. Then at the right time, you can simply flip the ring, the pancake stays intact and only when it is ready then you can simply separate the pancake by gently bending the ring at a point and continue from there around the ring until it's separated. Bottom line, I find it helpful. Sure you can do without it, but it does help make them thicker and bigger.

Can Make Better Pancakes without this Ring
I got this because I wanted to go from making good pancakes to perfect pancakes. The ring seems like a good idea until you try to actually use it to make pancakes. Pros: -Easy to clean -Good idea in theory Cons: -When you are ready to flip the pancake, pieces of it stick to this ring and the edges wind up all messed up -Way too big of a pancake. Would rather have 4-5" instead. 6" is actually pretty big. -Does not cook pancake evenly. Something occurs when this ring is around the edge. The pancake takes longer to cook and does not cook evently throughout the entire pancake for some reason. -Overpriced IMO Overall, I have gone back to making pancakes without the rings and as I get better, I am basically already making solid circles. This thing makes the entire pancake experience messy.

More Annoying than Helpful
This holds shape like a rubber band would. The "perfectly round" pancake/omelette claim had to be a joke! Though I was immediately disappointed, I washed and stored it away for later use because returning it felt to be more of a hassle than it was worth. That was two months ago. In that time, I've made lots of pancakes without it, having completely forgotten about it. Then this past weekend I found it and decided to give this droopy, formless "pancake ring" a go. Part of me hoped to be surprised by an unlikely awesomeness, especially because of the great reviews. DARN. First, you have to shape it on the griddle yourself. Do not expect this silicone material to default into a nice circle. Though it may only take a couple seconds to change the oval, I bought this thing because it's supposed to simplify your pancake making and up the presentation points. Lightly spraying the inside wall does help the batter from sticking and really messing up the shape, but not enough. And you'll still need to wipe the sticky batter off the ring for the next cake. Eggs, beaters, and whites did not stay within the ring and oozed out. More stick. More mess. My mom's steel pancake rings from the early 80's work better than this.

consistent size
I'm 76 and love my Banana/Wild Blueberry Pancakes. This ring produces 4 consistent size pancakes which for myself provides four breakfasts - one pancake together with 2 breakfast sausages and coffee gets my day started

Could be better
This product weeks reasonably well, but I think it would be fat better if the material retained it's circular shape a lot better. You end up fussing with it in the frying pan to get it into a proper circle to get the desired effect.

Found it useful
Helpful little tool. Used to shape - Harcha - Moroccan flat bread, great worked well as can stay in the pan whilst cooking.

Bake a cake that's cute before you dig in
ASIN: B007RTXKR2 Most care about just having pancakes, the shape doesn't matter, but these make nice round ones, like you'd get in a restaurant. They taste the same! Some have complained of 'leakage' under the ring, this can be somwhat avoided by brushing the pan and inner side of the ring with butter using a silicone baster (ASIN: B000JPSI8C). Pour the batter into the form using a 1/4 cup measure for a perfect result (assuming the right temperature). Flip and serve and eat and enjoy those cute little round cakes.
