Frustrating

I have purchased this before and I love it however the adhesive on the label which is located on the lid is impossible to remove I tried so many ways. Now the lid just looks crappy.

Nice container, but more caution needed at the factory

I keep sugar in this case and it is opened and closed a few times a day for tea. So far it is holding up well and the build seems sufficient for the cost. What I did not like was that it arrived dented. The sharp approx. 1" dent looks like another container slammed against it at the factory before it was boxed. I inspected the packaging it came in (not the additional shipping box) and there was no way it sustained this damage after being packaged. The dent was not enough to bother shipping it back. I just keep it turned with the dent to the wall. Problem solved.

I have both sizes and they're great!

I saw a bunch of comments about the size of these, so I bought both. I use one for my ground coffee and the other for ground espresso. The smaller one is pretty small, maybe 20 ounces of liquid could fit in it, while the taller one could probably fit 40 ounces. Those are estimates, but I do know that it seems a bit smaller than advertised. However, for my purposes, these are perfect. Coffee shouldn't be exposed to light, air, or moisture, and this pretty much covers the bill. They are also a bit cheaper than similar canisters at Walmart (I checked!). The only MINOR thing is that the clear lids get scratched really easily. When you wash these, don't use anything scratchy! If you are kind of OCD about things like that, like I am, it will annoy you forever. haha!

Seal well, not as large as the description makes them sound.

I bought a few of these to put various types of flour in - like almond flour, oat flour, etc. The Bob's Red Mill bags said they contained 22 to 26 ounces, so I thought these would fit. Turns out they are too small - they hold about 4 cups of stuff, and the 22-26 ounce bags are about 5 cups. That said, these seem to seal well and they keep my flour dry. I'm just not sure where they get the 30 oz from. Maybe it's 30 oz of liquid.

60 oz canister

The 60 oz canister is a good size for storing ground coffee. The line around the top is silver; from the photo it looked like it was white. My only issue is with how it was packaged; it was literally LOOSE in a box with some other boxes and about 6 of the giant air pillows; no bubble wrap around it or anything. Really lazy packaging. Fortunately I live close to the Amazon fulfillment warehouse and it did not have far to travel so it make it OK. It comes with a sticker on the top that takes Goo Gone to remove. It does seal well and is well aligned, even considering its rough delivery trip. This would hold a one pound bag of ground coffee for sure.

Smaller than it seems, but still good.

This product has a very tight seal and is easy to clean and work with. I had purchased it to hold my coffee, however, I failed to realized that my idea of 30 ounces and the manufacturer's idea of 30 ounces are vastly different. So this product didn't meet my needs fully, but is still a good. I would suggest paying closer attention to the dimensions that I did. When in doubt, go for the larger option. Better to have too much space than too little.

not bad but not perfect.

Yes, the seal can pull away from the lid. It's not that tough to make sure it's seated correctly before closing the lid. Looks really nice sitting out on the counter. No idea about longevity yet but it looks to be fairly well made. I use it for short term storage of fresh coffee beans. I can put half a bag in the hopper of my grinder and half a bag in here to be stored for a few days.

Average quality

Hi! This unit advertises as being "airtight" and it is!...to the point that I had trouble opening it when it first arrived. The canister is nicely finished but thin and the plastic lid feels cheap. It hasn't broken on me, and it holds my coffee grounds, but I have seen much higher quality similar containers at Fred Meyer. I use it for camping so it doesn't have to be all that nice, just functional. I personally wouldn't want to put this in my kitchen. I use similar ceramic urns for that purpose which are much more stylish and sturdy.

Problem solved

Having read the reviews, it was with some trepidation that I ordered this product. Sure, the hardware could be a little more robust but that would increase the price. I wanted an airtight container that lookes good on the counter for my ground coffee. The brushed aluminium surface is very attractive. The lid automatically forms a perfect seal when closed. The gasket stays in place but is easily removed for cleaning. I would say this container is an extremely good value and would look good in any kitchen. Shipping was prompt and it arrived in good order. What's not to love?

Bonne construction / Nice Build

Après avoir acheter des pots similaires d'un autre fabricant (Oggi) et avoir été déçu, j'avais des appréhensions pour cet achat. Finalement, la construction est parfaite ; les couvercles s'enlignent bien, et aucun signe de rouille sur le mécanisme de fermeture après un nettoyage et la tension de ce dernier est adéquate. Le seul bémol est que ce pot n'est pas offert dans des tailles plus grandes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After buying similar cannisters from another maker (Oggi), and been disappointed, I was apprehending this purchase. Finally, the build of those cannisters is perfect. The lids all aligned perfectly, the locking mechanism didn't rust after the first wash and the tension of the mechanism is adequate. The only downside is that cannister is not offered in bigger formats.

Plastic lid inadequate.

Plastic lid is dirty. Which kind of dirt is that? How is that possible? Looks like hand-made by aliens. And it has sticker on top - it is not clear lid as on picture. I want clear lid, and clean. Thank you; returning.
