Do you travel and hate hotel gyms? Or just want to have something around the house?
This is an awesome and unassuming piece of gear. It works with those cables you see in the gym for resistance training. It can support up to 350 lbs of resistance!!! Amazing. Plus, you can fold it up and carry it around with you anywhere. It's just plastic and tensile fabric. Pros: - Inexpensive -- I think mine was $8.95 with free shipping. - Supports up to 350 Lbs of resistance. - Can be placed in any door jam -- You just place it between the hinges (the red part that looks like a rhombus) and then close the door. Perfect. - You can do a multitude of exercises. -- Normally, with resistance bands, you can do things such as bicep curls, tricep extensions, some chest flys (I wrap mine around my single seat chair like the big brother in Goonies). With this puppy, you can put this in any doorway and work on upper and lower body exercises, such as LAT pull downs, chest flys, chest press, hammer curl, tricep extension, cable crossovers if you have two doors near each other. - Lightweight -- you can fold this up in your checked luggage along with your cables and travel. The hotel gyms I have been to are always in the basement with no cellphone signal and are covered with dust or some portly kid that likes to watch the TV there. With this, you can put this in any door jam and start working out. I sometimes do this while watching TV so I can stay active. - Cons: I really don't have any. For $8.95 and free shipping and for a light-weight piece of equipment, I am quite satisfied. If anyone is looking for more exercises to do when you are not in a gym, just do a search here on A9 Amazon and you will see some great books and magazines for exercises to do. Great job Lifeline USA! I am very satisfied with this product!!

Good, with some tips. You may well need two.
A great product that I use with my Black Mountain Products resistance band set. I bought one, and then discovered that two is actually quite mandatory if you plan to do many bilateral, large-scale compound exercises. For instance, seated rows (for back, lat thickness) require thicker bands than can be held in just one of these attachments, and an exerciser will want them spaced out more than a single point on the top of the door. One will want two points, one on each side of the door (not from the top), with one band in each, to get the width and space necessary to do the exercise. This is true for many exercises, such as chest press/bench press, rear deltoid work, etc. The manufacturer might consider a dual package of these at a slight discount. I find them slightly pricey for what they are, but they are better than the all-foam models (with a foam "ball" on the far side of the door). Watch the price on these as it does fluctuate, it is now about 15% less than when I bought mine; sometimes there's even a checkout "coupon" on Amazon for this product. If you see the price close to the "retail price" when you intend to buy it, wait a week and it will change (place in your Shopping Cart and then Save For Later). All-in-all, it works.

Highly skeptical - and proved wrong
Bought so my partner and I could both be doing P90X on bands - the band set only came with a single door anchor. I was skeptical that the little plastic knob would safely secure the bands (compared to the huge foam doughnut that came with the bands) but not only did it work perfectly, but being much smaller it is much easier to insert into and remove from the door, and the plastic sleeve that contacts the bands themselves was an unexpected and nice bonus (don't know how well that sleeve will hold up, but I figure even if it wears out and I have to remove it, I'm no worse off than the anchor that came with the bands, since that anchor didn't have such a thing in the first place). One note of caution: you do have to insert this right above the door hinge. The instructions for the doughnut that came with the bands says the same thing, but you might be able to get away with positioning it somewhere else, at least initially. I didn't bother to read the instructions and tossed the doughnut over the top of the door...which worked at first until the door frame started to crack! Because of the small size of the anchor on this door attachment, it would have been potentially dangerous if I had mis-placed it contrary to instructions (having the anchor suddenly separate from the door right in front of your face while you are pulling really hard = probably not the best thing). But if used correctly over the door hinge, I don't see how this could ever come loose unless the entire wall fell down.

Sturdy anchors at a good price point
I just use this for the first time today because I'm a procrastinator! I used a gray color heavy resistance band that had handles already attached. There was plenty of room in the loop to thread it through and it held up just fine. I like the plastic reinforcement the exercise bands rest in. The black nylon webbing at the anchor-point is thin enough for my door and I had no problem closing, it didn't seem to be a problem. I was researching door anchors, this one was what I was looking for, plus I could get two of them for cheaper than one of another kind. They seem to be made well, and I hope they last a while.

Good Product, but Not Universal
Updated 6/12/2021. Door anchors with a band protective feature are absolutely essential part of any resistance band workout. And this is one of them. It is a great door anchor with a band protective cradle. It is light and convenient, but might be a little too long, and the rubber end is not large enough to accommodate doors with large gaps. This is a second purchase. The rubber end of the first one cracked and fell off after 2 years of regular use. This one has a thicker webbing and a little bigger cradle, and it's sold at a discounted price. It's quite long, which might be both an advantage and disadvantage depending on the anticipated use. In my case, it was used at the top of the door with a very narrow gap so the length was very convenient. But one has to be mindful of the door gap using this anchor.

Can work with both loop and tube resistance bands
Solid and durable material, great for looped resistance bands when you need to anchor them to a door to perform a more diverse and advance set of exercises.

Well made, protects bands, BUT double strap needs adjusting
Bought to replace a fully functional improvised DIY luggage strap anchor, out of concern the rough nylon weave is too abrasive on knotted rubber bands - this appears to be the same for other brands of anchors as well. The red rubber protector at the end of this Lifeline anchor really is good about protecting bands. The apparatus seems very sturdy at first impression. BUT the double-thickness strapping does not fit all doors. It fits top and bottom, but can prevent door closing at various heights along the hinge or lock sides. A "brainstorm" led me to fan out the two straps to a single strap thickness, in a V shape - it takes more time to adjust, but suddenly fits narrower closures and is fully functional on all my doors. After figuring this out I raised my rating to four star, one star off because there should be guidance from the manufacturer about strap adjustment. Otherwise, it really is an excellent band-protecting anchor. (This may assist some other reviewers experiencing door-fit issues.)

Works great, definitely worth the higher cost compared to most flimsy ones.

Use it with care and it will last, and so will your exercise bands.
This has held up pretty well. Wish the part that grabs the door were bigger. The part where the exercise bands will touch the plastic piece on this product is kind of soft (a good thing). BUT, no matter what any manufacturer of exercise bands or door anchors says, the strap that goes through the door frame needs to be protected for the product to last. I put a small, thin sock around mine before jamming it into the door... so the stock will tear, not the anchor (I'm sure you can use something thinner). I also put a folded cloth around the bands so that the bands don't scrape the plastic on the anchor. I lift fairly heavy, work out about four times per week, and have used this anchor for two months and it is still in new condition.

Four Stars
Good one. Only drawback: both side bulging, it does not go in the door-frame slit some times.
