A MUST READ REVIEW
I have read the reviews and had to find out for myself. In fact I made a demo/review video for all to see this product first hand (jjgz4ever on youtube). So now I would like to address some of the issues I have read. Cricut electronic cutting machine: Cut beautifully without any problems! NO SHREDDING! Cut perfectly even on my first try. I used blade depth 4, pressure 3, and speed 2. I followed the direction of placing it adhesive side up (textured side), I also had NO PROBLEMS removing it from the mat. Cuttlebug (Big Shot, etc): I followed the directions with perfect results. They recommend parchment paper (included in package) to go between the adhesive side and the die, but I found wax paper worked even better for me. Also, in my video I show how to use word dies so the words end up facing the right direction. You do need to be careful with intricut designs but if you are patient it will come out beautiful. Hand cutting: This stuff is thin and EASY to cut with scissors....no special scissors needed. So if you don't have a cutting machine of any kind you can always hand draw or use a stencil to draw shapes and words on the paper backing (not on the textured adhesive side), and cut it out. So this means ANYONE CAN DO THIS. Coverage: Someone said the Deco Foil (the product you use with this), doesn't adhere well and created a "grunge" look. I only had that problem when my iron wasn't set at the right temperature (the first time I tried). It says MEDIUM setting on your iron but mine doesn't have a medium setting so I just took a guess. When it didn't work I called the company and the very nice customer service person was very helpful and gave me the information I needed.....Polyester setting on my iron or 260 degrees on my heat press. I also tried with my small craft iron that doesn't have a setting and that worked, and also with my Clover Mini Iron ll on medium setting and that worked. So if you use the correct heat setting it works beautifully. Temperature settings: See info above in coverage. Fabrics: I did tests on denim, t-shirt material, cotton (like a dress shirt), and canvas.....they all worked wonderfully. I even ironed this onto a decorative throw pillow. This also works on cardstock....so it's not just for fabric. However someone said they tried adhering this to vinyl and it didn't work.....NO KIDDING!!! I would NEVER suggest trying to iron anything onto vinyl!!! So be smart please. Washing: The package says you can hand wash or machine was DELICATE. I went straight to machine washing because I never hand wash my clothes. I threw in several samples I had made along with other clothes to get a good idea of how well it would hold up. The samples came out as beautiful as they were when they went it! But DO NOT put in the dryer. PLEASE read the diretions on the package. I think I addressed most of the review issues I have read. I can tell you that I love this product and am excited about the things I can create with it. It is great for clothes, pillows, aprons, canvas bags, and so much more. I love the many colors that Deco Foil transfer foil comes in to use with this Hot Melt Adhesive. If you follow the directions and ask for help if you need it (great customer service) you will enjoy using this product. Look for my demo/review on you tube channel jjgz4ever because it is too long for me to add here in the Amazon reviews. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment asking me and I will do my best to help.

Buy name brand!
This was so frustrating! It stuck to my Cricut mats so bad I had to throw them away. Then it would cut or weed even after I followed the instructions explicitly. I also had my sister try her machine & it still wouldn’t cut. Waste of money and time. I do not recommend this product at all. Buy name brand and save yourself some hassles and ripping out your hair!

Beautiful colors!
I purchased a few colors of this and am having some difficulty using this material. Its mostly user error on my part, I thought I could use this foil by burnishing but, you need a lot of heat to apply to the substrate. Some people use laminators to apply this but am not into spending more money on something I will not use. Then I saw an artist use this on an encaustic art panel, so now I can still use this and can't wait to try it out. This is why I still gave this product 4 stars because I can't wait to use this on encaustic art.

Not good for textured fabric and/or delicate designs!
This probably works great with larger, broader designs on smooth surfaces. However, I tried to apply a delicate die cut of vines to a textured fabric (a faux-leather) and it did not work at all. Running it through the die cutter, with parchment over it as the instructions said, resulted in the backing coming off the adhesive. When I finally did get the backing to stay on one (after three attempts, wasting tons of the product...) and adhered it to a test scrap of fabric (with my iron set to medium heat, the design covered in parchment, for thirty seconds, just like the directions say), when I pulled the backing off the adhesive came up with it in some of the thinner, more delicate areas. I tried to reheat those areas to get it back down, but it just wouldn't stick, resulting in a broken image. Very glad I thought to test this first, otherwise my fabric would have been ruined! I think the problem was the texture of the faux-leather. I could not see anywhere it specified not to use on textured fabric (and in fact the Amazon description says specifically that it's great for porous surfaces). I'm very displeased with this, as I don't do gold/silver leafing very often and can't imagine needing this for anything else. This was a total waste of money.

very useful and efficient
I used this with gold foil to upgrade my wonder Woman shirts whose sheen needed upgrade. It works great! Just watch a YouTube video before you use it so you don't mess p the first time.

Not for Cameo or Cricut Machines!
I ordered four packages of these and ended up returning the three I didn't open. Amazon refunded me for the 4th package and didn't require me to return it. This product does not work well on electronic cutters. You can get away with large solid shapes like stars, hearts, circles, or solid silhouettes that don't have rough edges. But forget cutting intricate designs or lettering. I've tried several settings and even researched online for solutions. What I found is that many people have the same issue with this product. Go with Siser adhesive sheets if you are planning to cut designs on a Cameo or Cricut machine. I just ordered some Siser to replace these.

Not For Silhouette Machines
WORKS FINE! Read the info on the product.. This is for foiling with a die cutting machine or for use with a laminator. This is not for automatic cutting machines like the Silhouette or Cricut Explore. This is how I use the product: tinyurl . com /yc9zxanv Came out fine with my Cutterbug. I used it on canvas and it stayed. It works on paper as well. Remember to let it cool after ironing before you pull the foil off. Use Foam Adhesive for your Silhouette machine.

Pricey for small size and number of sheets!
I am nit a big fan of this product as the sheets are very thin. Takes a bit of a learning to be able to get it right the first time. I set the dial on my Cricut to paper. Still it cut all the way. It would be better if these were not so thin, and that the backing paper or the glue is different colour for visibility. Does adhere well. Will keep looking for better adhesive sheets.
