I used a heavy duty hot laminator however it didn't fully transfer on my black laser prints
I didn't try other products before and this is the first transfer foil brand I try after watching some videos on YouTube and read the positive reviews here on Amazon, along with viewing the great pictures that people shared of this Deco brand. And so decided to give it a chance. I ordered this gold and the silver one, but they don't seem to transfer very well on my laser prints. I have a brand new HP 283fdw laser printer with original HP toners and a heavy duty hot laminator. My first try was with the silver one - I printed some black bold text, put the printed paper in a pocket A4 paper which I folded in half along with a piece of the transfer foil ontop of the printed text, and then fed it through my hot laminator. When peeling the foil I found that it didn't entirely transfer but only partially. I then tried to fed it into the laminator again for about 3-5 passes and made sure that I put the foil with the correct side down. I even tried flipping the foil over just to be on the safe side in case I put it in the wrong side down at first, however it didn't made any change. When the gold one arrived I tried both the laminator and manually fussing the foil on the printed paper with an iron, but the results were the same and only partial part of the foil got stuck to the toner. Though, one of my tries using an iron to my surprise not only didn't work, but it actually peeled off the toner print from the paper(!) and stuck it to the back of the foil... =\ Technically, I never thought that peeling printed toner from paper is possible, but there's always a first time. Bottom line: I really looked forward to receiving this product. However, for 5 pieces of 6" x 12" sheets this is not on the cheapest side of product, especially where the item is not eligable for free worldwide shipping when spending over $$$, so the least I would expect is that it will work. Maybe it works better with glue but this is not the reason I bought it.

Amazing product but only 3 out of 5 sheets came in my order.
Just to get this out of the way, the product itself works flawlessly! I get a mirror finish on my greeting cards on the first application and if I pass it through my laminator a second time with regular printer paper covering it, I get a beautiful textured finish on my cards. I've added photos of my very first foil transfers ever (hope they get approved)! So it must be pretty easy if a newbie like me can pull it off. For those who might want to know exactly what I used: My printer is anHP LaserJet Pro M201dw Wireless Monochrome Printer (CF456A#BGJ) . I changed my printer settings from Fast res to Pro Res for a smoother print. Speaking of smooth, the card stock I print on is also very smooth to get the best toner/foil coverage. I have been usingHammermill Color Copy Digital Cover Paper which I purchased here on Amazon, it's less than $12 for 250 sheets of super smooth 80lb card stock. I also purchased theAmazonBasics Thermal Laminator for around $20 and use the 5 mil setting as suggested by reviews who also foil using this particular laminator. This was my first time ordering this product and I was quite disappointed to find only 3 out of 5 sheets as described on the listing once it arrived, however I reported the issue and was immediately shipped a proper replacement with all 5 sheets inside. This still means that I will have to find a UPS store to return the first shipment though, otherwise I will be charged twice the amount for less than what I ordered. I looked at a couple previous reviews and see that this has happened to a couple others as well which slightly turns me off from wanting to purchase again from this seller in the future. I really don't want to gamble on whether or not I will get exactly what I ordered, especially when my purpose for purchasing online is because I don't have certain places near enough to me (like UPS). I am giving 4 stars because the actual product is indeed quite wonderful and easy to use, hope I get many uses out of this!

Great stuff but dont buy 5 sheets youre getting ripped - by it the rolls (same company).
Wowee! GORGEOUS, easy to use foil! *** If you like this stuff DONT buy it in the 5 sheets, you're getting ripped off big time - buy it in the rolls (same company) for much better value! transfer foil as it is all the rage right now & it is no wonder why, the shinier the better right? this stuff is great if you're into arts and crafts. A few tips: this stuff sticks to itself like nothing I've ever seen. You'll be cutting a sheet of it & then realize it's 4 of them stuck together. It's so thin its ridiculous. Another tip is if you're peeling the foil off & notice some spots (that aren't covered) just hit it with your iron until it is. The foil may burn (it just looks more rainbow-like than normal but really cant tell) or may come out sort of textured-like (again, I think this is better than having big black spots). PS: 1st pic demonstrates the "SPA" is burnt foil" & 2nd pic u see how it doesn't really make a big diff (only in a few angles can you tell they're slightly different). 3rd & 4th photos demonstrate burnt foil & the textured foil (burnt happens when overheating & textured happens when foil isn't on well enough, it's moved, then re-heated). 5th pic is all different papers used. Last pic is an ex of when foiling goes perfect. Foiling tips: black laser toner is easiest (& the best), get the smoothest paper you possibly can, make sure you're heating foil to correct temp (too low foil wont stick- too high foil will burn & maybe become textured). Have fun foiling! Hope this helps!

They work better than paint pens that cost $4.75!
Color and ease of handling. The result is really beautiful.

Great: but watch a YouTube video first so you don't mess up.
I used these with a special glue paper to give my wonder woman shirts a new sheen. Just watch a YouTube video first: I kept messing up because I was turning the foil the wrong way. Thanks so much!

Fast delivery to the UK
I purchased this Deco Foil after watching numerous YouTube videos relating to foiling and noticing that this seemed to be the product of choice in many of the videos. I live in the UK and this product isn't available here so had to be shipped from the USA, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it arrived, and it was very well packaged. I have used the foil with a laser printer and a laminator and have had fantastic results, it is so easy to use. I have also used the Stick it glue sheets and my Sizzix Big Shot to create gold foiled prints and this method has worked really well as well. I would say if you plan to do a lot of foiling you may be better off purchasing the bigger pack as each sheet is quite small so you can't do much with one pack, but if you are just trying it out to see how you get on with the product then this pack is fine. I love this product and will be purchasing it again but in the bigger pack next time.

Very Good on the Whole.
Bought Gold & Silver Foil's. Got to be honest, the Gold stuck OK, but the Silver was a teeny bit patchy on the very edge of some text. Used General purpose Home Laminator & Paper sheet method & of course a Laser Printer. As I had a few copies, I was able to choose the perfect ones.

Fit for purpose, easy to use.
The media could not be loaded. Bought these to foil the cover of some DIY wedding passport invitations. Easy to use, as you can see in the video they did the job. Upon close inspection the adhesion wasn’t 100% but I think this may be more to do with the temperature of my laminator than the foil itself. And also after a few weeks could see some flaking occurring but this is bound to happen with foil sleeking eventually anyway due to only being a transfer.
