Love these stairs

We bought these for our aging dog that weighs over 90lbs. She is afraid of smaller/narrower pet stairs. Although these are wider and taller, her weight makes the foam give way so she doesn’t like to use them. I still gave five stars because we have used the stairs as an ottoman/side table for our sofa and we love them!! When our girl’s shoulder arthritis flares up, she uses the stairs as long as we stand by and help stabilize her. If the foam was just a tad bit firmer for heavier dogs, they would be absolutely perfect! Still gave 5 stars for the size & quality. Recommend but be weary if your dog is very heavy and/or scared of “wobbling” when the foam gives under their weight.

Finally tall enough!!

So i finally found one that is tall enough b/c we have a high bed. Digs use it easily to go up and down - i just trained them to get a small treat when they go up it or down it, then they figured it out. Had to find something b/c our biggest dog got her ACL replaced and she refuses not to go up the stairs. Anyway, she is prob about as big as id say she could be to comfortably go down the stairs - about 50 lbs. wish it was slightly maybe an inch or 2 deeper stairs, but def best one i could find in terms of solid height

Good for my dog

My French bulldog got diagnosed with IVDD - we bought these stairs for him so he could get up and down from our bed at night and in the morning. I was a little hesitant at first with the sturdiness, but it actually ended up being a lot better than I expected.

After some training, it works!

***Update after a couple of years: I now own 3 sets of Zinus stairs (2 L and 1 XL) and about to purchase another small one to place next to the sofa. EXCELLENT QUALITY. Keep training your dog, do not give up. Eventually your stubborn dog will use them on their own. TRUST THE PROCESS. It will happen. These work! My dog is 70ish pounds and was VERY hesitant at first. Well, he was simply not going to even try it. VERY stubborn! He did not like it at all lol. We had to use treats and really push him to go up before he got a treat. About a month into doing this regularly, he will use these steps now on his own. We slide it next to the backseat of our SUV and he goes up. He does get nervous, because it is a soft surface that flexes a little with each step. However, he is use to it now and it works. I do wish there were handles on each side to easily pick up and carry. That’s really the only down side. If I was going to perfect this item, I would add handles for the sides AND I would make the top step a hard board so the dog can easily push off or spring off of something firm to get up in the backseat of the SUV easier. Although it works as is. The fabric can be unzipped if extra cleaning is needed. It seems to be very well made. I am impressed with the quality. I looked at buying a ramp, but those are too wide to fit inside the car door of my SUV. So freestanding steps really were my only option. I have ordered another one to push against my bed. I tried carrying from room to garage and vice versa, but without the handles it gets annoying. So I just bought another one. I have the XL and L. There is not much difference in the size of these two but the price difference is significant. You may only need the L for a bigger dog. Save yourself some money and get the L instead of the XL. Be patient, it will take some training and eventually your best friend should use it on their own. My dog is brilliant lol and super stubborn with tons of personality. He learns everything almost instantly. He rejected this for a while. Then one day we found him laying on the bed. That guy waited until we were not in the room begging him to go up the stairs and he was doing it all along by himself in private lol. Little turkey, he tricked us. It took about a month or so, but it works. Do not give up!

Pet stairs

I had to strap it to my bed i have a 100 pound pit he didn’t like it until i strapped it to the bed it’s a little soft. But now he can go up and down with no problems we have a high bed so this will save on are backs lifting him up he had knee surgery and this will save on him jumping down.

I have an older black Lab

It didn't have a smell when opening it, VERY easy to assemble, and doesn't slide on the wood floor. It works perfect for him to get onto our bed that is 31in from the floor to the top of the mattress. Hopefully this will not hurt his joints and makes it easier for him.

Finally! Steps that work!

Finally found a set of steps high enough for our bed. Works great and dogs love them. Highly recommend if you have the room.

Perfect - as described

Excellent product. Our pup immediately took to it and it was a perfect size for our couch it is essentially flush. High quality, zips off for easy washing and easy to replace back on. The foam is sturdy and does not sag or feel unstable when weight is added onto it. It does have the slightest blue tinge to it in comparison to our grey couch but it is barely noticeable. Would recommend. Arrived within 1 day of purchase.

Great if your dog likes them, not so much if they are scared of them.

We bought these for our senior dog who has problems getting on the bed. We had a bench that the dogs would jump onto then up to the bed. Sometimes the older dog couldn't make the jump at night, I think he has problems seeing in the dark. So we thought that the stairs would be the perfect solution my parents have the exact same stairs and it works great for their little dog. Well my little Yorkie mix has no problem with the stairs and they work fine for her. But my older shitzu is too scared to go up even one level. Nothing I could do could convince them to go up. And then when we lifted them onto the bed and he wanted to get off at night he would actually jump to clear the steps crashing into the floor so it became unsafe for him to even have the steps there. So we put a lighter coloured bench beside the bed so that he could see it in the dark and now he can jump on and off again. So the steps are good seem to be well made and they work well if your dog likes them. However if your dog doesn't like them then they are totally useless.

Effective

Our little dog - a Chihuahua of 2.4kg weight - uses the steps easily. She is a young dog and it only took about a day to train her. She now flies up and down them (on and off the bed). The down side is she can now bring her doggie treats up onto the bed (previously not allowed).

Great for little dogs!

We love these stairs. We needed something to stop our little older dog jumping up and down on the bed...because he is getting older and we don't want any injuries. We bought these stairs because we also wanted something soft and not hard stairs as we only have a small bedroom. These are great and we are currently training our little guy to go up and down them.
