Those are really good!
bought those to trim my goat's hooves and they are really good. Comfortable in hand, easy to open and close. Very sharp!

Total 5 star...but not exactly as reviewed by the Shepherds magazine!
The recommendation I read said these had one serrated blade to grip the hoof and one smooth blade to slice through the hoof and neatly trim. Instead it arrives with two heavy duty SMOOTH blades that are razor sharp and ready for action. Technically while serrated blades are handy for the learner or rarely ever user but this smooth thick sharp bladed model is perfect for those who have to knock out 80 hooves a day every other month. They are production quality AND THEY CAME VERY SHARP!???? The angled blades are cushioned and comfortable and easy to shift from right to left hand as needed. The last thing different from the consumer review (which rated these as #1 best quality and usefulness) was that they complained that the wire loop that is attached through a hole in the handle end for keeping the trimmers closed when not in use (because they are sharp) constantly slipped over the handles locking them closed every time they squeezed to cut! Annoying, right? NOT SO! The manufacturer listened to the reviewers and removed this loop! It does not come with a loop! This is fine because everyone who uses these more than once will take a piece of leather and sew or rivet together a holster with a loop for their belt! It’s a no brainer to keep them from falling in the dirt, snow and mud every time you set them down to grab up another sheep or goat! It’s a 10 minute project that will last for years of great use! Finally, most important the angled blades are not pointed but come to a rounded point..not sharp on the tip so that they can serve double duty to scrape detritus out of the impacted area between the cleat soles. These are great clippers, they stay sharp for the whole day and they are comfortable and practical. Your animal hates the buzzing and grinding of those $400 grinding tools that vibrate their hoofs, terrify them and takes twice as long so you don’t want to use those anyways! So do yourself a solid and buy these clippers and save your time, money and animal’s feet!

Potbelly manicure
Well i have a fairly LARGE vietnamese potbelly. Chiflada lives up to her name and doesn't take well to being made to do things she don't like. Eating and sleeping are her favorite and only things she enjoys .lol. But my baby girl needed a good hoof trimming. Stressing and contemplating just how i was going to manuever and get this done i searched Google and Amazon reviews to try and help make up my mind as to which trimming shears would be my best option in making this difficult task just a tab bit smoother for both of us. I knew grinder was out of the question, considering this girl is terrified of s si.ole hand drill and electric sander when we do small house repairs. But people ,these are well worth the money. They are very sharp and cut thru this piggy hooves almost effortlessly. Well u less your taking a big chunk off but even then i recommend hoof nippers rather than these shears when taking of bulkier pieces of hooves. But for si.ple trimming these work just great. I am very happy with the purchase and ehen these lose their edge.... I will be ordered these once again. There's so many out there to choose from, so dontbe fooled i to buying a worthless tool. I rarely write a review but i did in this case because maybe one day there may be someone else searching Amazon , just as i was, looking for someone , anyone's review that would make me say ...YES, YES THESE ARE THE ONES IM ORDERING. LOL. But yes order ..you won't be disappointed.

For very small animals only
i have a 125 pound potbelly. With effort, I could trim the three little toes in the back, but trying to trim the two big toes in the front - just too much for these clippers.

They’re okay
I’ve used multiple hoof trimmers for my herd of Nubians and LaManchas. I’m not very impressed with these trimmers. They don’t feel as sturdy as other brands I’ve used. I initially started with trimming my bucks feet, thinking these trimmers are brand new and as sharp as they’ll ever be. My boy is about 200 lbs and a very sturdy goat with thick hooves. I had trouble trimming his hooves, it wasn’t sturdy enough and I majorly struggled. I will not be buying this brand again and I’ll be spending my money on a more expensive/ reliable brand that I know can do the job. That being said, if you’re using these on a smaller breed, or on kid hooves then I can see them working well, but for my purposes, with my full sized goats it was money wasted.

Zenport Q140DX hoof clippers, great product
The long term review would of course be far more valuable than merely having the product for the two weeks like we have. We bought them to clip our Katahdin Sheep's hooves. And for that they worked perfectly. We gave them 5 stars as they appear to be well built, and look like they will last a while. They fit comfrotably in both bigger and smaller hands which is nice of course. Looking at the spring in the image we were a little worried, but upon receipt it was pretty clear that the product is well made, and the spring is in there tightly, with little chance of falling out. We tried them out of plants, and thick cardboard before heading out to the sheep, and no problems, cut cleanly through everything that we put them up against. We didn't put them through a torcher test, just cut things they were designed to cut. So long as they last a couple of years which they should, we will most certainly buy them again if available. Great product at a good price.

Very disappointed.
They aren't nearly as sharp as they claimed to be. I have a micro mini pig who had previously had many homes and had never had his hooves trimmed. I was hoping for something that would be a quick cut, so I could introduce him to trimming with as little stress as possible. Not the case. Couldn't even accomplish one toe. Very disappointed.

Big Time Saver, Sharp, Reliable
I use these to trim my sheep's hooves, best ones I have tried (out of many), I won't be looking for better ones, these are amazing. They stay sharp a long time, do the job quite fast and easily. Big time saver.
