We have 6 of this cage on 3 bikes...they are light, strong, versatile, inexpensive.
I started buying the Zefal Spring cage 9yrs ago...and I just added this one to my wife's new bike. They are the perfect cage for our kind of bikes and riding: road, gravel, touring, commuting...at a reasonable price. They hold regular bike bottles wonderfully, but the design/material is resilient enough to keep a variety of larger commercial beverage containers, like 1-liter soda, safe and secure. Additionally, the shape and construction of the cage allows some customization for mounting them to the bike. One one bike, the cage on the seat tube needed to be a little lower, so I drilled a new set of holes 1cm higher up. On another bike, the seat tube cage needed to be much lower on the frame to allow the use of full-sized bottles. So I put the lower cage bolt through the upper cage hole, and zip-tied the lower end to the seat tube. Few cages are constructed in a way that give that kind of flexibility. Yes, I have (rarely) had a bottle bounce out due to an unexpected pot hole or trail obstacle. But that is the trade-off I am glad to make in exchange for hundreds of thousands of effortless grab/drink/return cycles over a decade of riding. No piece of gear is perfect for EVERY application: racers, triathletes, mtb will be looking for other bottle cages. And--theoretically--if you regularly have to leave your bike outside uncovered throughout the year, UV damage would likely embrittle the plastic resin of the cage. For everyone else? This cage will probably make you very happy.

My go to brand
I have a few bikes and all of them have these zefal bottle cages. I've tried metal ones, carbon and plastic. For my riding style, I don't care about saving another 2.4 grams. These are super durable and can take a beating. Mines are on a road bike, a gravel, on two full suspension mtb, two rigid mtb and 4 hardtails. 12 years so far, none has broken. Unlike metal, that bends and look bad or carbon, which is expensive. I used them with typical cycling bottles but also with regular 500ml water bottles or even gator@de... nothing falls or rattle.

Almost Perfect
I purchased this cage in white because it matched my bike's color. Even the Zefal logo, in silver, matches the logos on my frame. The price is much less than similar cages too. So, I'm very happy with that. The cage holds all sizes of my water bottles. Overall, I'm very happy with this cage. My only criticism is that the cage doesn't hold the bottle with super security. On one hand, I like that, because unlike other cages I use, getting the bottle out of the cage is very easy. Therein lies the issue. I can imagine bottles bouncing out if used on rough terrain. For the record, I've not had any problems riding on the roads and smooth soft trails. July 2020 Update...Since I wrote the above review a year ago, I've ridden the bike thousands of miles with these cages, venturing out on some fairly rough gravel roads at fairly high speeds. The cages have yet to lose a bottle and continue to be flexible. Just ordered two more for my wife's new bike.

Light weight, strong, and very cost effective.
Light weight, strong, and very cost effective. I've been riding with one for a year now, just added a second on my bike to match because I like it so much. These will hold any normal sized bottle, from a large 24-ounce water bottle (such as Polar Bottle insulated or Camelbak Podium) to a 20-ounce Gatorade or soda bottle down to a 16-ounce or 0.5 liter water bottle (like Deer Park). I haven't tried it, but I'm confident that this would also hold an unopened 12-ounce can securely. Since the cage is a little springy, it will hold bottles that are smaller than your standard biking water bottle tightly. It's also much easier to remove water bottles from these cages than your standard metal cage because the plastic is pliable. Similar cages at my local bike shop are $15-$30, so getting this on Amazon for under $10 was a great deal. This was actually the same price as the cheapest metal water bottle cages at the bike shop while being much lighter and better quality than any of them. Update: It's been a few years and these cages are still going strong. Still a tight grip, but easy to pull out the water bottle. Very happy with my purchase, but I should have gotten black instead of white. They show dirt, but that may be due to the fact that I spend a lot more time riding than washing.

we'll see...
nice but so smooth i wonder if my metal water bottles will rattle loose. holds standard nalgene securely but had to bend out so far i got nervous putting that water bottle in. prefer a skinnier bottle on my bike to not get in the way and worried my klean canteen bottle might slide out of this too easily since it's pretty smooth and not rubbery at all. we'll see.

Best deal in a light and string bottle cage
I think these are the best compromise between cost, weight and strength for a bottle cage. They weigh 48 grams each. I had some plastic ones that weighed 35 grams, but they seemed too delicate to me and I was always afraid that they would break. You can buy carbon ones of course, but you will pay 5 times the price of these. These bottle cages are still light enough and are practically indestructible. They can stretch to hold wide bottles, but you won't worry about them breaking. I am using two with Polar 24 oz. insulated bottles (hey, it's HOT here in the desert!) and the bottles are held in place quite securely. Just an outstanding deal in a bottle cage. I highly recommend these.

This cage is a must if you have a 24oz insulated Polar bottle!
Okay, I admit I originally bought this for my new Kona because the bike is a deep blue with silver/white trim. This cage looks brilliant on the bike. Anyone out there with blue bikes, check it out for that reason. However after getting and using the cage, I must say it's fantastic. I'd always used the cheap metal ones before. I have a 24oz. Polar bottle, and they just don't hold that bottle correctly. This cage however, is almost like it's made for that particular bottle. The bottle slides in, the top part of this cage aligns perfectly with the thumb indentations on the bottle. Best of all, this cage holds onto that bottle like a VICE GRIP. The bottle doesn't move at all, and try my best it's never left the cage through jumps, falls or whatever. Highly recommend if you've got one of those Polars.. I'm buying a second one to fit on my seat's downtube.

Ok, but don't buy two
Lightweight and grips the bottle well. However, having tried to install two on a bike they sit too low and prevent two bottles from being used. Wish I'd known this before ordering
