Bench dog
I have bought 3 of these so far, all have been very well made. Fit my dog holes very well. Have 1 more coming to me. Good price on them also. Glad I bought them.

short, sturdy and to the point
Great addition to the work bench. I bought two and placed them on opposite sides of the bench. Despite having to reinforce the area behind the bench dog (after planing down quarter sawn maple), the bench dog didn't change a bit. No bending or breaking. I briefly tried to plane some pieces with just clamps but found that to be a very unsatisfying approach. I am new to doing this so as much of my problems was probably my technique and or setting up of the plane. However, after placing the bench dog in the bench, the planing process was much more regular and productive. I've been using these for over a year and love them.

Perfect low profile dog bench
Purchased to help hold boards while sanding and planing. The low profile keeps it out of the way of my plane blades as hoped. Good quality and inexpensive relative to other bench dogs.

Durable steel dog
The 3/4" post fit well in my bench holes. It was a hair snug in the holes that get little use. It fit easily in the well-used holes. The 1/4" plate steel top is the definition of "durable." It will never wear out in my woodworking shop. The only possible damage to the dog would be from rust, or maybe a cutting torch. Clearly the steel dog would not play well with sharp plane irons. The low 1/4" profile is enough separation for most planing. On the other hand it laughs at glue and paint. I like the 2.25" length of the plate steel top. It gives a good purchase with no slip. I already had some plastic Yost bench dogs. Glad I decided to add this steel dog to my shop.

Sturdy but thin
I find it to be a little thin but it is sturdy and well built

Fit is excessively “snug” to the point of not fitting.
Great design. Only drawback is that the posts are slightly oversized for 3/4” bench holes. This creates a problem that is rather annoying. Fit is excessively “snug” to the point of not fitting.

Cheap, effective
They work, will break if you put too much force on them (I snapped one already). Metal would be nice, but then you would risk damaging a plane blade, so I use these when I want to avoid that risk.

Works
Works only one was in the package delivered. I was thinking it said I was buying two. Been hand planing quite a bit with it and it works.

Too Small
Well it's true that these bench dogs will hold a plank for planing, but they are well under 3/4 inch on my calipers (724 thou), and that means that when you fold up your workmate to carry it down the garden, or to put it in the boot, unless you are very careful, the bench dogs fall out of the holes. I have three Black and Decker workmates, an old 625, which has just been fitted with brand new jaws, a more recent 825, and a workmate 2000. The dogs are too small for all of them. It's a pity the people in the far east can't be more diligent with their sizing. I mean, is it that hard really? These bench dogs are 26 thous too small.

Para uso super moderado
En apariencia se ven robustos y muy durables , pero recientemente se me partieron 2 y no les doy un uso diario es para trabajos caseros, al sacarlos de los huecos donde estaban insertados para cambiarlos de posicion se partieron
