Nicely weighted and proportioned. Cane/umbrella openings a bit too small.

Purchased for Mom as a cane stand. It was just what she needed EXCEPT the four openings for holding canes or umbrellas were too small for her cane tip. I used a utility knife to score the plastic and then snapped off several pieces in the middle section to allow the cane tip to pass through. In general a good product. Just needs a bit of modification.

Nice but MUCH smaller than I thought

Guess I should have paid more attention to the description because this thing is freaking tiny and since the base isn't weighted, it doesn't stand up to the weight of my umbrellas. A bit disappointed to be honest.

I should have carefully read the size - how tall it is etc

This stand works ok for a few of my umbrellas. The compact size fits well by the side of my door. However,I can only fit two regular size umbrellas and one compact umbrella in this stand otherwise it would be to top heavy and not stand up. It was simply my mistake of not realizing how small it is. I like the looks of the stand and three feet taller would have been perfect.

Small but excellent

Many of the reviews cite problems with the size of this umbrella stand. And it is very tiny. Don't buy it if you need to hold large numbers of umbrellas or walking sticks. However, if you NEED a small stand, this product is perfect! I have a very small space behind my working desk in my home office and I need to stow my walking sticks so I can walk to and from the room. The YAMAZAKI Oval Umbrella Stand Holder was the ideal solution. I have a much larger umbrella stand in my living room where the bulk of my walking sticks are stowed, but it's nice to have a smaller unit in another part of the house.

Great for stick umbrellas, compact not so much

I liked the clean look/style of this and the slim narrow shape was perfect for the space that I wanted to use it in... a little nook between a hall tree and wall on my porch. The downside for me is that it’s smaller than I had expected, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing except it can’t accommodate compact umbrellas very well which tend to be bulkier when collapsed. It’s really meant to accommodate the longer slender stick style umbrellas. So I say it’s a good product but whether or not it’s a good choice for you really depends on the style of umbrellas you want to store.

Compact & Sturdy!

Compact& Sturdy cane & walking stick stand. For weight at the base I used a 3lb exercise weight across the top of the base. I use this for a 55" walking stick and a cane, but there is room for 2 more items. It will fit anywhere in your home and be unobtrusive.

A bit expensive but goot addition to my interior

Very good quality, a bit over priced in my eyes but excellent addition for my interiors. The itme is light which makes it a bit unsteady, but high gloss and looks really good.

Expensive, but worthwhile to get a unique, modern accessory

Scope: I was looking for an umbrella stand that was white in color, looked modern and attractive, and was durable. Appearance: The Yamazaki umbrella stand gave the impression of a premium product. The packaging was tight, organized and compact, the stand looked modern, and the material felt of high-quality. Efficacy: It is surprisingly heavier than it looks and was very sturdy. The stand would not jostle or wiggle when an umbrella was inserted or removed from the stand. It also tucks neatly into the door corner and is thinner than a standard copper coil door stopper, thereby mitigating possible impacts against the door. Price: I paid $53.31 CAD for the stand because it was difficult to find a cheaper alternative that did not also look cheap or tacky. I found other white, modern-looking umbrella stands on Amazon, but they were only slightly cheaper, while also being wider, and they would have been difficult to tuck behind a door without having to be careful when opening the door. The alternatives also looked underwhelming, and most resembled a plant pot instead of an umbrella stand. The unique design and sturdiness of the Yamazaki umbrella stand makes it more worthwhile, despite being more expensive. Conclusion: The Yamazaki umbrella stand is more expensive than less modern-looking alternatives but offers good value and a unique design. It can effectively hold tall and short umbrellas without additional support and looks attractive in a hallway. I am docking one star because at $53+ CAD, I feel it is still a few dollars too expensive. Suggestion: I also considered the Yamazaki home Smart Umbrella Stand, White (URL: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B004SK68WW/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=IIS6U2Y1RU16Y&colid=YRZKHW4438NW) which is rectangular, but I decided to go with the oval.

Bonkers, insanely small but sturdy!

When this arrived I was surprised by how thin it was, I genuinely thought it would not work at all and would just fall over…. How wrong I was, it’s super thin yet still stands upright with a huge golf umbrella in it. Sturdy, compact and looks great, what’s not to like?
