Really nice

went together pretty easily. the little allen wrench is tough to use in spots. It was packaged very well so be sure to take everything out of the box, including the styrofoam packing pieces. That's where I found the directions. I liked it so much that I ordered another one to put on the other side of my buffet table. It feels nice and study and looks good. I would say it has a hint of a reddish color rather than Dark Expresso. It doesnt match the expresso buffet table I got from a different seller years ago but the second one I bought will tie it all in nicely. The wine bottles feel like they are secure. The wine glasses fit good unless you have a narrow base on stemware...once I moved the glass to a different location it was in there good. I did have one piece that was missing a second hole to secure the stem ware slide. Right now I tightened up the one screw and it should hold. If not, I'll hit it with glue. If the second unit has the same issue, then I'll contact the manufacture to let them know of the defect.

A decent wine/liquor storage unit

I bought this used but it came just like new. Here’s pros and cons. Pro: Pretty sturdy, even the backboard that’s normally super flimsy on similar products, but it’s decently thick (still not a piece of wood but it’s better than others I’ve bought on Amazon). It came with a strap to prevent a fall but I didn’t need it. Assembly directions are good. Lastly, looks great, has a real solid wood look to it. Con: It is a pain to assemble. There are a couple spots that are almost impossible to screw tightly. The hex screws they have are pretty good but the driver never goes in perfectly. Overall: Good unit, I would recommend anyone to get it. It’s sturdy and looks and feel like real wood.

Love This!!

This was super easy to build. Sturdy and reliable to put glasses hanging as well as bottles. Slots are spacious to handle almost any size wine bottle. So worth the purchase to give more space and neatly have a wine cabinet!

Awesome little shelf but SO hard to assemble

As much as I like this shelf the assembly was not worth it. I had such a hard time assembling the shelf because of where the bolts were located and because you had to use an allen wrench. It took way too much time than it should have.

Not for the Faint of Heart

The end product isn't horrible, although the wine bottle dividers are a little flimsy. I doubt I'll use the outer columns to store wine bottles. The build process, on the other hand, was a nightmare. Construction isn't particularly challenging, although the hex screws deep inside the rack require extra patience and dexterity to tighten. It probably goes together in less than an hour if everything actually fits correctly, but in my case it didn't. The nightmare started with what I didn't receive. The lower back panel was missing and the outer wine glass rails were incorrect. Thankfully, replacement parts can be requested on their website - winsomewood.com. It's not necessary to fax a request, as suggested by the instructions. The missing parts came in just a few days, but attempting to install the lower back panel revealed that the dowel holes on the left side were drilled incorrectly, so the grooves the back panel fits into across side and bottom panels didn't come close to lining up. I requested a new side panel and tried again, but found that the right side was also drilled incorrectly (but inconsistently with the incorrectly drilled left side). Meanwhile, a wood putty plug fell out of the top, revealing a 1/4" hole and crack. Trip #3 to their website to request those parts as well. I hope third time's a charm. On contacting their customer service department via their website, I received an email suggesting I return the unit to Amazon for a refund. I don't find that a reasonable solution for something this big, especially given I had long since disposed of the packaging. My response to their suggestion went unanswered. Winsome does a great job shipping out replacement parts, but quality control and customer service are another matter.

Well worth the money!

This is a well built product. Very impressed with the craftsmanship put into the design. However it is a little difficult to assemble! The finished product is well worth the extra assembly time!

Looks great and good value

Overall I am happy with this product. It arrived in good condition. There were a few very minor imperfections, but nothing really significant or easily noticeable. It is made in Thailand and when I first opened the box it looked pretty cheap, however after assembly it is quite sturdy and looks nice and of decent quality. It is made of solid wood, not pressboard or whatever. It's not fine furniture by any means, but definitely Ikea-level at least. The colour for mine was not quite as dark as I expected given the photos. It's more of a really dark cherry than "espresso" but I think it depends on the lighting. It's still pretty dark and mostly matches with my black furniture but it does have a bit more hint of red than brown. The assembly was not complicated and for me all the pre-drilled holes lined up and everything fit together well. Some of the screws are in really tight spots where it was a bit frustrating that you can only turn the allen wrench about 1/8th of a rotation each time. It was time consuming, but if you're a reasonably competent individual who has assembled furniture before then you should not have any problems whatsoever. All in all, I would recommend this.

Sturdy and solid product

Once my neck and back become uncranked from assembling it, I will love this product. Assembly is frustrating because some of the drill holes are in weird, tight places and you basically go in blind with an allan key. Its nice and sturdy! I was expecting press board or atleast one of those cardboard backings that you have to hammer on with finishing nails. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered this was mostly solid wood and that the back was a thicker piece of pressboard that I didn't hammer in.There are so far no manufacturing errors that we come to expect with these type of furniture orders. It holds many wine glasses and is big enough to sit a decanter. It also holds a lot of wine bottles so thats more a goal.

As nice as on the picture. Easy to assemble, BUT the screws are not easy to turn with the supplied Allan key, specially the ones deep inside. This should not stop you - just get someone young without arthritis to assemble it.

Great purchase.

Omg. I just got this delivered today. Easy peasy to assemble. Much better quality than any ikea stuff. Ive read many reviews saying that it was difficult to assemble or didn’t have instructions but this was not the case for me. Easy to follow instructions included. I’m soooo happy with this purchase and can’t wait to buy one of the accompanying pieces to expand and hold more wine and booze. Lol.

Took a while to assemble as we figured out all the parts and pieces but once it was built, it looks great. We keep it in the kitchen and put in our wine glasses at the top and all the bottles on the bottom. We've been using it for a while now and it's still sturdy and beautiful. The extra space on the top we use as storage or extra counter space when we need it. Definitely would consider getting two of these side by side for extra bottles.
