Not fan of this at all
I was disappointed with the quality and it took forever for me to get it. Sorry but I had to return it because the blades were also bent.

Good product but.......
The persons to whom I sent this gift have been very happy with it. They are avid home cooks and have already tried it out with a variety of fresh produce. We were all, however, very unhappy with the service provided by USPS. The package could not be delivered on the day promised because no one was home to receive it and it was returned to the post office. FOUR attempts were made to the busy, urban post office to pick up the package. Twice the line was so long at the window that my daughter-in-law with young children in tow could not wait that long. The third attempt was thwarted because the clerk would not release the package to my daughter in law because she did not have a photo ID on her at the time. Finally, my son, a commuter, stopped to pick up the package and found the PO to be closed. So, five days after his birthday, my son finally received his mandoline. I know this is not directly your fault, but customers need to be able to expect good service when ordering your merchandise. Maybe UPS is still the best way to go even if it costs more.

High Quality Equipment
After many hours of research it was the correct decision to buy a professional quality Mandoline Slicer vs the less expensive plastic versions. It complements other SS accessories in the kitchen if you leave it out on the counter. It does come with a small white plastic box to hold the 5 blades (looks cheap in comparison to the slicer). I've seen a unit with a carrying case, wish this one had it for storage. Instruction manual is minimal but sufficient. Two of the blades are inserted from the right, 3 are inserted from the left which makes it a no brainer to insert correctly. I've only tried the sliding blade to cut eggplant and honeydew melon. Exceptionally even slices. It easy to clean but be careful, the blades are very sharp. Two knobs on the side make it a breeze the adjust slice thickness. If you plan on using the slicer at least once a week, it is worth the investment. I'll add more when I have more experience...

Dull blade--what's the point?
After reading a lot of reviews of many mandolines I ordered this one. It's very attractive and seems well-made. But the main cutting blade (I never tried all the other specialty ones) is really dull and I felt like I was in danger of cutting myself because I had to use so much force to cut anything. My regular cooking knives are sharper. The slices were not of uniform thickness because the initial force that was needed to start each cut diminished as the blade went through. It destroyed the tomatoes I tried to slice. I emailed the company and asked if they had sharper blades. They sent another set of the exact same blades. I am sending it back. The mandoline quest continues.

Not what I was looking for.
Although it has a variety of blades, it does not have a sharp everyday straight blade I was looking for. there is a small crevice between the blade and the platform that catches what you are slicing and gets caught. Mine also came a bit bent. Although my husband straightened it out with a rubber hammer, it still catches. It takes a bit of muscle power to cut a carrot. Too much money for what it is.

Would not recommend
Bought as a gift for out of town Amish friend. Recently learned not safe/usuable for her to use. There is a significant ridge where the sharp cutting edge is. The ridge is where the blade sits lower than the metal sliding surface. If they try to use it w/ the attachment to make fries would be totally unsafe as when sliding through potato actually could actually hurt self as the momentum used to push through the process could (and did cause the hand to slide forward as the guide stayed in the potato and hand kept going. Was unable to return as out of return period, but will nor replace w/ anything similar. Had so hoped that this was like the one I bought through Amazon years ago.

the product is great
the product is good but the manufacture quality control is poor I had the same issues as some people reported in there reviews, what i found was that the product was not quality tested before sale and after some minor adjustments the slicer works perfectly but for the average person they are not able to make these small adjustments thus the product has been underrated.

dull blade - don't waste your money
I expected a higher quality product since it was metal. It is ok for soft veggies like cucumbers. I got some great cross cut slices for pickles.... But, worthless for beats, sweet potatoes, etc. I bought a dehydrator to make veggie chips and the slices are misshapen making it impossible for even drying. I am out here to buy a plastic v-slicer similar to what I used to have that worked great for half the price.
