It’s Perfect
I love this thing. It’s easy to use and works like a charm. I go to the meat market, get 5 lbs of ground beef (sirloin, round or chuck) then bring it home and set up a little assembly line. First I weigh out 5 oz of beef, roll it into a ball, place a sheet of waxed paper in the press and then the beef. Close it up and press and voila perfect shaped burger patty! Next I put 2 each into a vacuum sealer bag, vacuum and seal and into the freezer. Since they’re all the same weight and size it’s super easy to manage numerous burgers on the grill because they all cook at the same rate. GET ONE! LOL!

It's a good price for what it is..
That the upper press plate was not a tight fit to its cylinder. So I used Saran Wrap over the top of my meat balls to keep from waisting hamburger. With out it, hamberger would squeeze past the upper press plate n cause a huge hard to clean up mess behind it.

Burger Express Double Hamburger Press made me a hero with the family!
The adjustment on it works very well. If you have a kitchen scale, you can measure out precise amounts of meat and then make thin patties. We did 1/6 lb. patties for this. After you have made two thin patties, you can place cheese, sliced mushrooms, etc. in the middle of one of the patties in the press and then set the other patty on top of it and press them together. If you leave a rim uncovered, the meat will seal together and you have an incredible stuffed burger! My family said they were the best burgers we had ever grilled at home. We will be experimenting more in the future with this incredible kitchen/grill tool! :)

Investment in convenience
I'm embarrassed to say how much time and thought I put into looking for the perfect burger press. This press works exactly as I'd hoped. No fuss, muss or bother. It's weighty and substantial. It's simple to adjust for thickness of burger. Being double allows you to make one thick, one thin simultaneously, depending on preference of eater. I buy my chopped meat in bulk, preseason them and just press them out. I bag them up and use my Foodsaver to vacuum and seal. Invest in the precut papers while you're at it -- one on top one on bottom. Sure you can cut your own paper squares, but this is supposed to be easy, fast and fun! Buy the press, buy the papers. Oh, did I say, there's no cleanup!

Extra kitchen gadget that actually gets used
Prime day impulse buy that I actually use. When I buy ground beef in bulk I vacuum seal some 1 lb pouches for cooking and then I use this to shape the rest in hamburger patties for vacuum sealing and freezing. The patties are the perfect size and grill really nicely. Did I need this? Probably not, but I’m actually using it, so I’m calling it a good buy.

Fantastic!
What a great bit of kit, heavy and chunky, it makes what ever size thickness burgers you want. This is so simple to use, just decide how thick you want the burger to be by using the thread on the screw mechanism and then just press down with the button on top of it to make the easiest burgers you'll ever make (use wax disks to stop sticking) and that's it! You can make as many patties as you'll ever need and it's even easy to clean. I've had mine for a while now and I can say it is still as good as new. It's rugged and durable you really cannot go wrong with this bit of fun.

Brilliant. Utterly brilliant.
I love making my own burgers and in the last 5 years I have gone through umpteen burger presses, all made from a wide variety of materials, but all of which have broken after just one season's use. This baby is built like a battleship and I have no doubt will last for a very long time to come. Typical USA build quality and a simple design that works. Used for the first time today and produced 40 fabulous 3/4" thick burgers in no time at all, all of which stayed tightly packed on the Grill and the whole party loved them. Brought the press out to show my guests and was the talking point of the night. I'm sure a few of my guests will be getting one of these in the coming weeks! Observations: 1. The press needed a really good wash when it arrived - there seemed to be lots of loose flashing/non-stick coating flakes in the plastic bag. 2. Use wax discs on the base AND the top, which eliminates messy clean up, but it breaks down for cleaning and reassembles quickly and easily. None of the above detract from what a truly fabulous product this is. If you want to make your own burgers on a regular basis that have a consistent diameter, thickness and density - THIS is the product you need.

Fantastic!
I bought a cheaper, plastic burger press about 6 weeks ago for use in a commercial kitchen and after just a few uses it developed a crack down the middle which made it unusable. After looking around for quite a while, I then found this little gem and it's made life SO much easier. It seems to be really well made and I found it easy to clean as well (I used an over sized piece of greaseproof paper on the top and bottom of the burger). It adjusts to the size you want to make your burger very easily. Can't rate it any higher. Would say that if you're looking for something for domestic use, get the single version (unless you've got a family like the Waltons!)
