Repaired broken sprinkler line
This worked out well for a broken sprinkler line, no other tools needed, strongly recommend!

It works!
Apparently the previous owners of this house bypassed the original copper on the main water line from the well and used poly. I nicked it with a shovel when digging up an adjacent line and tried to repair with a barbed coupling but the size seemed slightly off (not sure how old the poly was). I order one of these couplings not really having very high hopes, but it worked. I installed it and let sit under pressure (~40-50psi) for 24 hours before burying and it didn't seem to leak at all. No telling how long it will hold, but I'm very satisfied and relieved I didn't have to replace the whole line.

Minor threading difficulties, but worked in the end
Very simple to install. I needed 2 of these to patch my mistake. 2 of the threaded ends bit into the tubing quite well, the other 2 did not. This could have been due to my unique situation, but possibly have some hose clamps on hand just incase. The patch is holding and my sprinkler heads are working once again. I did not end up needing any additional components other than a knife to cut my tubes.

Fast and permanent repair
I damaged a one inch line in my lawn irrigation system, and wanted to avoid the expense of having the installer come out for the repair. I tried to do the repair myself, but the high pressure in the line kept causing leaks. When I found the Watts ANKA coupler, it seemed like the solution to my problem. I agree with a previous review - it took me longer to remove my failed repair than it did to install the coupler. Cut the tube, push the coupler in place, tighten the blue retainers, and you're done. Great product for a super price.

Won't bite into my poly
I'm sure its a great product if you have the right poly. The product installed by my landscaper is apparently standard, but the product won't bite into it. Specs on New Zealand site specifically mention that it is supposed to work with a "low density" poly. Might not work for your application

Easy to install hose splice, no tools needed.
Someone ran over my irrigation line with a shredder. Installation of this coupler is a breeze, 1. Cut the pipe straight on both ends that you're trying to couple. 2. Push the pipe over the barbs. 3. Screw the hand screws over the pipe. Easy, quick installation. No hose clamps needed. No tools needed if the pipe is cut clean. Works great if you're in a hurry.

The only thing that worked.
I tried silicon tape, epoxy, everything I could think of to repair a punctured irrigation system hose, waiting 24 hours on several occasions for epoxy to solidify. Countless times digging up, 'repairing' & burying again, only to see the area filling up with water again. I eventually tried this. It literally takes 2 minutes to install & it's the only thing I've found that truly works, & at a fraction of the cost of the other stuff.

This thing works
Punctured 1" irrigation line. Tried a coupler from a plumbing store with 3 hose clamps on each side torqued very tight and still leaked. This thing installed in 5 minutes and did not leak a drop. Took me longer to undo the first messy attempt than it took to install this item.
