Doesn't fit the m8000

Cover comes with 2 bungee cords that are really useless. The cover is big enough to cover a winch twice this size. Save your money and buy one with a draw string or elastic for 1/3 the price of this thing. For the price you would think they could do better.

Works pretty well, holding up good so far.

Use this with my 9.5xp and Trans4mer (2013 Silverado 1500). Looks great and seems to be holding up well so far (had it less than a year), just wish the straps with a little shorter. I hook them through the hole then onto the lip of the winch mount, front and back. When I just hook through the holes, the straps are too long and would fall off. Price is a little too high also but it is the best option.

Works on the M8000 winch

Fits pretty nice on my M8000 winch. I'd say about 90% of a custom fit. Keep in mind this is made to cover a few models so it won't be perfect, but should be better than most. I'm running a PSC bumper and skid so I needed to use longer bungee cables to wrap underneath the bumper. It will do the job and keep my winch protected. You have to remember, when you are on the highway in the rain, you have 65mph water hitting your winch and solenoid box.

Good to keep Winch looking and performing like new, but....

Having purchased such a great winch, I felt a cover was absolutely necessary. Positives: Its doing what it was made for and keeping the new winch looking like new, functioning well and free from dust, rain, snow, mud and sand. Its simple to afix with the bungees and just as easy to quickly remove. It also proudly shows off Warn logo Negatives: Would be nice if it was more of a snug fit for that particular winch. It looks baggy abd sloppy and affects the iconic look of the front my car (Jeep Wrangler). I would have prefered a hard cover option (why don't Warn give us that choice) or at least a soft cover exact fit.

VR8000 Winch Cover...Sort of...

Pros: Adequately covers VR8000 Winch Cons: The PRICE...way too much! But it's not like there are a lot of choices. The Fit...It's more of a "One size fits all" type of cover that fits several similar winches in the Warn line up. The Bungees supplied are way too small for the average after market bumper (I used a couple of real bungees). Recommend: If you REALLY need a cover, and don't have the means to make one of your own...If I had it to do over, I'd buy this cover again. BUT, ONLY because I don't have the materials or tools to make my own.

Just right.

I have an old Warn winch which I bought in 1985. It is still in use and on the same truck. I have been looking for a correct cover for years. This one fit perfectly. If you are shopping for a correct cover look at the dimensions on on the sales page and compare them like I did to make sure it fits your winch.
