It does a very good job cleaning brass casings!

As the item review stated the temperature does go higher than set for while operating the ultrasonic action. I have learned to turn it off early such that it stays closer to what I desire. I use this every week to clean brass and it does a very good job. I use the Lyman Case Cleaner solution with distilled water. I set it for a temperature of 35 for 30 minutes and it usually gets to 50 (Celsius) around 120 degrees Fahrenheit. I let the unit sit for 15 to 30 minutes after it completes the time set. I like the fact that it automatically shuts itself off! People have said it is loud but I put some small pieces of old towels at the bottom of the top and it is much quieter. I do not feel it is too loud without the padding. The unit has worked consistently for over 100 uses so far. It is much better than the Harbor Freight unit I had before this one.

Regardless what size you purchase (I bought 22L) do NOT forget to purchase your degreaser, etc.

Biggest downside is this thing is insanely loud. I cannot comfortably run it without in ear hearing protection, and I don't enjoy sitting in the same small room without doubling up with over ear hearing protection, too. It's best to set it for 15-30 minutes and go eat or do something productive while it's running. I'm just hoping I never come back to find leaks. I don't exactly trust the heater, so I haven't used it yet, and have only run very hot (not boiling but too hot to touch) tap water and got very mild results. I would highly recommend buying some thin steel wire (I bought 19 gauge) to hold down any unusual objects that might only float to the top. Draining takes quite a while, and sadly you can't just drain the whole unit in one go. You'll have to rinse, and because of the basin shape, it will not drain to perfection. The overall shape of the basin and cleaner are very nifty though, as it's easy to move around and does not weigh too much. It looks sleek and modern. After attempting to clean some of the dirtiest things imaginable, this is my conclusion: unless you’re regularly cleaning large items that are as large as the spaced container, just get a smaller Ultrasonic Cleaner. I attempted cleaning several pairs of gloves which all fit well, but the end result was nil-to-none over 30 minutes. For truly effective use, you will want long duration for cleaning time and effective use of space. Technically it’s cheap enough to buy a small Vevor Ultrasonic Cleaner, too, but I’d say this is my worst investment of 2023. I put a bulky tool inside with some other items, and the rust and grease began to clear up slightly after just 30 minutes. I suppose letting my messy tools sit in here for hours at a time would be very worthwhile. Other than tools and non-fragile parts, this isn’t exactly something I would buy again. Next time I’ll consider 11L instead. If the machine was far quieter, I would definitely be happier. Also, this unit only runs in 30 minute intervals… not incredibly useful.

It's bigger than you'd think, but works great.

It heats up at a decent speed and cleans quite well. Comes with a large basket as well as a jewelry basket. Con: this unit seems to always try to heat the fluid, regardless of heating being turned on or not. It just heats faster when you tell it to heat to a set level. This is a danger because it can cause the ultrasonic to bake itself completely dry, and be a potential fire hazard. Always be sure to switch it off using the toggle on the back when you are not using it. Overall, not a bad unit. Could use some fire protection, but you can easily prevent issues by using it responsibly.

Ok, yeah its annoying, but it works.

Finally a solution to remove flux easily and well

Cleaning off flux is really important to the life-expectancy of printed circuit boards. While many amateur builders will use alcohol and a toothbrush for this, that solution inevitably still leaves filmy residue that not only looks bad, but slowly degrades the circuit boards. This very inexpensive ultrasonic cleaner and heater does quick work on this generally tough problem. To use it well you will need a quality cleaning solvent. I use "Branson EC" which, though not cheap, does a great job. It is available in 1 quart bottles that will clean hundreds of boards. I gave four, rather than five, stars, because the heating element on this cleaner is not particularly powerful. Therefore, I preheat my cleaning fluid - in a microwave - to about 60 degrees Centigrade before putting it into the basin, saving a considerable amount of time. Once the solution is in the cleaner, the heater does a good job of sustaining the temperature. I now have two of these, one at home, and one at the lab.

Bought it for cleaning carburetor haven't got to do that yet .but I did put some rusty tools in it with awesome cleaner done a pretty good job

The cleaner works pretty well and is easy to use. The instruction sheet was lousy and somebody needs to keep working on the translation into all the different languages. I can only read English and French and neither of those were very helpful, but it is still a simple unit to operate. It's a little noisier than some units but quieter than others I've used. A couple of times it overshot the temperature setting, but only by 3~4 degrees

Quickly starting to wear out

This unit does a great job of cleaning. However, after only 3-4 hours of use, it looks like the transducers are wearing through the basin. I expect it will wear through its own tub in a matter of hours. I would find a different brand of cleaner.

Arrived defective

The unit arrived and the heating not working. The instruction manual was no help. I phoned Venor and was on hold for 45min thus hung up. I don't wish a replacement on any product which arrives defective. I am shopping for a new supplier. UPDATE The vendor is requesting that I return this unit to California at my cost. No prepaid shipping label. A $155.00 unit and 0ver $100.00 to return via Purolator. Now my refund request is now denied.

Utterly useless!

I have had this product now for several months. I was excited to get the cleaner working as I had numerous items that I needed to clean. Unfortunately as of yet the ultrasonic cleaner has failed to clean any of them. I have tried to clean everything from simple garage tools to jewelry to kitchen items. It does not matter how long I leave them in or how hot I get the cleaning liquid it makes no difference. If you are lucky you may get a small spot or two clean, but who needs only a spot on an item cleaned. Save your money this product is a waste of time, money and space.

Make your own Solution

It works good. I made my own solution. I also used Non flammable bio degradable degreaser concentrate diluted with water that worked very good on my carburetors.
