Its noisy FYI

Fan works well, assembly is easy, moves surprisingly a lot of air even with slowest fan speed. Its just quite noisy even with slowest fan speed and I can't even imagine using any faster speed due to the noise. I now wear noise cancelling headphone in my room when this is on.

Great fan for a tight spot!

I absolutely love this fan! During the Summer I used this fan every night. My side of the bed doesn't have a lot of space and it fits perfectly where I need it, I have right up against the wall in the corner. This is definitely a fan I am a fan of! ????

No remote control

This is model HYF500 and a remote control is mentioned and rated, this does not have one. Model HYF550 has the remote so get that if you want the remote. I assumed it did because it was mentioned in the ad. The ad does not even mention the model number so impossible to tell what your getting. Fan is great, but disappointed no remote. Seller should include model number and not mention and rate a remote if the unit doesn't have one. My 3rd Honeywell Tower fan, hope it's as good as the other two.

Fan is strong and loud

I like how it has 2 fans. The small round on the top and the tower fan at the bottom. It's really loud especially the top fan. No remote and no timer. Other than that, it is really strong

False Advertising

Product description claims you can feel the breeze from 40ft away and that the fan runs quiet. Even on low, this fan is the furthest thing from quiet. And judging by the drop-off from the breeze just within 6ft, there's No Way this thing is going to be felt from 40ft away. Now that I'm writing a review, this webpage is showing me there should have been a remote control to rate as well, but the fan did not come with one nor did I bother checking the product description for it because it wasn't a feature I was looking for. I only bought this tower fan as a way to increase air circulation in an otherwise terminally stuffy room. Outside of the fan being louder than any other fan I've ever owned, it does the job I bought it for. Not particularly well, but it gets the job done. *Edit - I decided that it doesn't quite get the job of 'bedroom air circulation' done well enough; admittedly partly because I have it set up between a computer and a TV to push the heat they generate out of that area. However I've decided I like the power it has on offer and the compact size enough to buy a second of these to replace an old standing fan with dwindling power output (in the same room). Between the two it should be more than enough of a breeze to compensate for whatever is causing our AC to not effect this room as much as the rest of the house.

Really Nice

Dislikes… I want to do the dislikes first. I dislike people leaving unfair product reviews! First of all fans have a motor. That is how you get the air blowing. Sheesh by my standards, this fan is not that loud at all. Now grant it makes noise, most motors do. Sadly, the power isn’t what I was hoping for. Having sever hot flashes 24-7. While sleeping they are worse. Summer is coming and I need cooling power. I am happy with this Honeywell. It would be great for a small appartment.

Excellent Cooling Capabilities, Strong Air Flow

I have had this fan in daily use for over a month, the only noise is from the air coming through the fan. Of course, you're not going to get what you can from a Dyson fan, if I could afford that, of course, we would be buying that. For the price, this is the best tower fan from this brand that we have tried so far. The cooling effect is phenomenal. You can't sleep next to or near one of these but the force of the air is comforting when placed at a distance which minimizes the sound. There is an odor that comes from this unit, it does off gas some VOC's, but they rapidly dissipate after a week or two. To deal with this, I left our unit in the closet for a few weeks to air out, then after running it daily for a week, the odor was largely gone. The odor is not overwhelming but I just didn't want to risk breathing in any toxins. It was enough to make me feel uncomfortable so this was our work around. Now that we've had the model for a month I feel pleased enough with it to buy a second one.
