First one was better. Second one still good. The door doesn't freely open however.

We bought one of these almost 3 years ago for our almost 3 year old's room. It was perfect. Could change the baby, and with one hand, hold the diaper, use a few fingers to easily swing open the door, deposit the diaper, and close the door. We never locked it, there really isn't a need to unless you have another young one that wants to get into the trash. Along comes our next newborn this year. We bought another one of these to go in her room. This one is not as good as the first. When doing the same exercise of change diaper, open lid with a few fingers, the door gets caught about half way. Then you have to give it another good push to open all the way. It still allows for single handed operation, but every time I change a diaper and open the lid to this and it sticks, I just die a little. An irritation that I wish didn't exist. I tried opening and closing repeatedly to try to put some wear on it hoping something was just catching that needed to be worn off, no luck. So, hope you get one where the lid doesn't catch.

Gifted to cousins- they love it

Funny story! Gifted this to my cousins and when we met the baby they were raving about how this was the best thing they got from anyone and then remembered we actually were the ones to gift it to them! So 10/10 apparently ???? they love it because it holds a newborns diapers for about a week before needing to be changed and there is no odor. They said the best part is that they can use normal garbage bags!!! When I have babies I’ll use this based on their experience and ease of use.

Perfecto!

We were so tired when our son started getting bigger and it was getting just so stinky with his other diaper pail, this has been a life saver to trap the smell. We also have an UBBI weighted wipey box that has been great. Good company with effective products!!

Worth it!

So it definitely keeps the smell in.. we use regular scented bags. But if your baby's poop smells pretty bad, the smell will definitely come up every time you open the top to put another dirty diaper in. I just started using doggy poop bags for the poop diapers to see if that makes a difference. And so far, it has helped ALOT!

We got this for diapers for visitors. Yes, we used an insert. It worked great for odor control. It is tall with a sliding door that we really liked. When the visitors left, we kept it.

Look no further! The Ubbi is just what you need!

I highly recommend this product to any couple I know who is expecting. In most cases, they have the "Diaper Genie" on their registries because they don't know about the Ubbi. However, once they hear the Ubbi doesn't require special bags and will save them money, not to mention the quality of the product and odor control, they are happy they learned about it and end up loving theirs as much as I do!

Bought for our nursery

We bought this diaper pail over the diaper genie brand specifically because I wanted to be able to use regular trash bags instead of having to buy special ones! I love that feature of this diaper pail. It also locks which will be great for when we have a toddler on our hands. However— only the part that slides open and shut will lock. There is no lock that will prevent the top from being popped open as if you were going to change the bags or anything. My only complaint is that I wish it were a little bigger. You can see in my picture the size of the diaper pail compared to our standard sized crib! Not really sure how some people are fitting so many diapers in theirs, but I guess we will see.

Best Diaper Pail

This is by far the best and easiest diaper pail I’ve ever used. I love that I can use whatever bag I have on hand. It does need to air out every once in a while but definitely doesn’t hold on to odor the way that others do.

Think long term.

The cost up front of this nappy pail is high, no doubt. However, after doing some sums I realised that this was actually much better value than the other nappy bins that twist and package each nappy. Firstly, this looks great and is very well constructed and feels quality. It’s easy to clean, and spray disinfectant spray in it when I change the bag. Secondly, you can use your own bin bag, which over time you will be using this (years!) will save a lot of money in comparison to competitor I mentioned earlier. The refills for those are very expensive. Thirdly, it does it’s job VERY well. Our boy is breastfed and is 10 weeks old now. We can fill this with days worth of nappies and it doesn’t smell at all. I actually cannot believe it. We wrap dirty nappies and wipes in a bag and then put them in this pail. We change it every few days, when it is full. When you have so much to do as a new parent, you just want things that work. We are not extravagant parents, we have literally only bought this and a baby carrier new and everything else has been second hand. Although it may feel counter intuitive to spend so much money on what is essentially just a bin, it really is worth it due to the performance.

Best diaper pail ever

Love the Ubbi diaper pail. This is my third one (first one was tossed after baby #1 potty trained). Now that we are on baby #2 and have moved to a multi-level home, decided to get another to avoid having to climb the stairs for every diaper change. This is the only diaper pail that I’ve owned that completely locks away the odor. I bought a diaper genie style pail that we quickly got rid of, as the bags on those were much more cumbersome than on the Ubbi. I love that you can use regular trash bags with Ubbi - no “special” liners to buy (saves you money) and insert and removal is very easy. No fumbling around with special knots to tie, scissors, etc. just put a regular trash bag in and you’re done.

Great

This is perfect, easy to use and clean, and very sleek looking. This bin was a bit pricier than other options but I think I have already made my money back as I am able to use an ordinary bin liner inside it, rather than purchasing special bags like most other nappy bins require. It keeps the smell in provided the lid is closed.

White is light blue.

This is my second ubbi. The previous one stank after two years of continual use. While the design is more practical then most bins, this one requires two hands to deposit a soiled nappy. Just beware that white is actually a odd light blue. Too frustrated and tricky to return this cumbersome thing.

Amazing for 1 month - crap after that

We were so happy with purchase and this did a bang on job for the first month, but then started stinking so badly. I think the seals are not long lasting and get loose with usage. What a pity that it did not pay even 2 months - as it saved so much plastic card some of the other brands. It was well built and good size too Would not buy again
