Appropriate
I bought this for use with an incontinent spouse and disposal of soiled underwear. It is working well but I was hoping for a smaller size container to hide behind the shower curtain. I also wanted to use regular size grocery bags for collecting and one needs a larger size to fit the container.

Good value can with a small flap
The trash chute is a bit small, so if you're not careful, dirt or wetness from a diaper may come into contact with the flap. Overall, it's still a great value for the price and has many useful features, such as allowing the use of regular 13-gallon trash bags, making it very convenient to replace the bags when needed.

Just as good as a diaper genie, but actually affordable. Plus you can use your own trash bags.

Best diaper pail I have very used
So I have kids ranging from age 24 all the way down to Age 2 and I have had about every kind of diaper pail, diaper genie, diaper freaking service! This diaper pail is the best hands down. We always store them outside just outside of our side door so I can't tell you about the smell because we never have a smell issie. I am going to say that the ease of use and the fact that it takes regular trash bags is fantastic. No more buying special bags or having to stick your hand in to push the diapers down.

Very toddler resistant!
Bought this because my toddler figured out how to open the garbage can we had been using, and that would have led to disaster. This can is the same size, but the special lid is much more toddler resistant! The scent disc isn't very strong, but there are other reviews talking about alternatives. Honestly, I'll probably remove the whole deoderizer holder and not bother with it. We change out the bag often enough that it isn't building up. It isn't the prettiest bin, but it works very well and holds a bunch of diapers.

Looks used
It’s a diaper pail so it is what it is, but it’s super scuffed up like it’s been used or something. Not a big deal because it’s a trash can but super annoying for the price.

This is an excellent product. I use it for my two dogs and for my special needs son. It's so versatile what a wonderful product.

Buen producto
Compré este bote de basura para el cuarto de mi bebé. Vi que algunas personas se quejaban de que parecía usado porque llega manchado, en efecto el bote no tiene protección, solo llega en la caja y ya, por lo que parece que está en una bodega sin ningún tipo de embalaje y eso hace que se raspe y se manche, pero no está roto. El mecanismo es simple: tiene una tapita que sella para no dejar salir olores. Tiene la ventaja de que puedes usar bolsas de basura comerciales (no hay que comprar especiales), yo uso tamaño grande. Lo unico por lo que le doy 3 estrellas es la mentada “pastilla”. Es un disco de plástico que ni huele, no sirve para nada. De por si el bote sella por lo que los olores no salen, pero si quisieran que “huela rico” pueden poner una pastilla de Glade, porque la que trae no sirve para nada

Basic but effective
I was looking at diaper pails before bringing my baby in and i spent hours looking at all options, between having diaper pail that will empty your pockets by requiring you to buy their own bags and between really expensive looking pails i stumbled into this one from a review on amazon.com and someone recommended this one and recommended adding activated charcol into the round storage that eliminates smells and i did thta and its been great, this pail lasts days without a smell even with the dirtiest diapers, i am really happy with this purchase.

Childcare Lifesaver
After trying several methods of disposing of diapers in a cost-effective and tasteful olfactory manner, we were delighted to purchase the Safety 1st diaper pail. Since our first purchase, we have purchased an additional Safety 1st diaper pails. The pail accepts multiple garbage bags and fresheners. Unlike other diaper pails, you are not opening your wallet to purchase a specific diaper bag and deodorizer. They do not allow the smell to permeate the room and are easy to access with a child lock to stop curious little friends from exploring the inside. I consider myself an expert having the diaper pails receive over 75 diapers daily per classroom. We are extremely happy!

Not sealed, the smell will permeate through the room
As soon as I got this diaper pail, I immediately realized why the one star reviews existed stating the smell was horrible, THIS THING IS NOT SEALED. If you look at the picture, yes that is my finger visible in the lid. The quick release door hinge has a gap that allows free exchange of the inside air with the outside. No matter the filter you have in there, the diaper smell can easily bypass it and permeate the room. How not a single person has posted this design flaw is beyond me.

Muy útil hasta para pañales adultos
Cumplió con todas mis expectativas. La verdad es muy útil , lo estoy utilizando para una persona mayor. En mí caso no he notado que traspasen los olores y es muy práctico pues utiliza cualquier bolsa para basura de acuerdo a su tamaño. Lo compré porq ya había usado uno igual cuando tuve a mis bebés solo que lo regalé pues no pensé volverlo a usar después de 18 años.
