Great loppers

sturdy, strong and cut well.

Only good things to say about this looper.

This is my second set of these loopers. The first lasted about years, till from abuse (prying) I broke the handle. These loopers absolutely hold a good edge and good blade alignment. I have cleared a lot of brush, and pruned many trees with these; I use them regularly; they are used at max opening

A great Looper

The Flexrake LRB701 Compound Bypass Lopper features compound cutting with very long handles. Compound cutting cuts the force you need to apply by 1/2, add very long handles for more leverage, and very sharp blades and it takes little effort to cut. I think it is rated for limbs up to 2", but by changing positions in a circular pattern during a cut you can cut a limb that is a lot larger. The handles also have plastic grips making them non slip, and comfortable. You can spend a lot more money on a Lopper than the Flexrake LRB701 Compound Bypass Lopper, and not get a better quality cutter in its cutting diameter range.

Strong and light

Took these loppers out of the box, and out to a 4 day back country work party, where they were the only large lopper, and got abused for the whole trip. At the end of the trip, they were still sharp, and tight, despite several run-ins with small rocks.

Stronger than my backyard wilderness

2+ inches thick poison ivy vines, branches, all kind of nasty shrubs... snip snip snip ... lopper is holding up extremely well, although it does not seem very heavy duty.

So far, it rates 5 stars. I've used the last three loppers, of various makes, to destruction. This one is strong enough to repeatedly handle its max capacity limb.

Easy to use

Works great. Used it twice no issues.
