I bought this for my 12 pound cat Jalpa, as she is arthritic in her hips and can't really jump anymore. At first, it was a no-go. The cat nip that come with it is terrible, I would recommend tossing it straight into the trash. After about 3 days, she decided to lay on top of it, but still wouldn't go inside. It took her 3 weeks, but now she loves it! My concerns though are these: 1. The inside sides are not lined with anything, which seems a bit lame. The material everywhere else is very thin. 2. It looks like the material on the top was an afterthought. It was added after it was assembled, so the material isn't tucked well and you can feel the staples. 3. There is nothing on the bottom. It is just partical board. There was also a pretty large tack sticking out which I had to cover up because it scratched the crap out of my floor. 4. The item in the picture shows a thick, plush top and base. In reality, the board used for the top and bottom were only 1cm. All in all I'm satisfied because Jalpa loves it. I am a bit disappointed in the build quality though.

Lovely Cat Cave!
My little girl is loving this! I had recently bought a platform bed, and she lost her hiding spot. So I was in the market for a cat cave. I bought one that looked like a strawberry and was labeled xl. My cat is not large but she couldn't fit in it, so I went back to searching. I found this and other reviews said their 15 pound cat was comfy and happy in it. My cat is 11 pounds and she is also comfy and happy. Mine arrived very well packaged without any damages. Only negative was that the box was HUGE. If my neighbors were in any doubt on my obsession with buying from amazon they are not now. This box took up most of my small porch, and was a great place to put my other three packages that arrived that day for all to see. Love that it came assembled, so it's sturdy. I wouldn't use it as an ottoman, just because it is kind of hard. There is enough cushion for a cat, mine seems very happy, but it's not something I would look forward to resting my feet on. All in all I am very satisfied, my cat is sleeping on top of it now, and went straight into the cave area once it was out of the box. This is high praise since the box was huge, and I would have thought she would get into it first. She now has a place to run and hide when the vacuum is out. 5 stars!

This is one of the larger caves out there.
I have two ragdolls. They are one of the larger breeds, so I needed a large item so they would fit. One was a runt, so she fits without a problem. The other one is about 9 lbs now (not full grown) and she seems to have plenty of room. I think she will be fine as she grows to full size, which should be about 15lbs or so. It has a nice look to it. There are two reasons I didn't give it all five stars: 1. There is a ball on a string that is connected next to the hole. That ball was ripped off within an hour. It wasn't a big deal....so now they play with it on the floor. 2. The top overlaps the side. A piece of the wood/wood product overhang broke off under the carpet. It's about a 6" section that broke. You really wouldn't know it was broken unless you felt around or went to grab it to pick it up. The carpet is floppy in that area. I think it is kind of crappy for that to happen. It was well-packed, so I suspect it was broken before shipping.

A great place for kitty!
My cat loved this condo immediately!!! My cat is rather large (13+ lbs) and very long (24+inches - head to tail). Pros: The material is very supple and fun for my cat to scratch. The 'hole' is rather large and my cat can easily get in/out. The condo is two-tone....the top is a rich brown and bottom is tan....goes well with most home furnishings. I especially loved the packaging ... the condo arrived wrapped in plastic and then boxed up. So there was no dirt/debris on the condo itself. Plus, the box was a hit with my cat as well. The condo is sturdy for my cat, but I would not recommend setting too much weight on it (like a small child). It is also good to use as a foot stool...just the right height. The condo is very lightweight and easy to move. It is also very easy to clean...a little bit of soap & water will do the trick. Cons: The condo 'sheds'. I have small pieces of carpeting around the area where I place the condo. For me this is not an issue, but it might be for some folks. However, I 'like' this shedding since it guarantees the product is new and I am sure this will decrease once my cat "breaks it in".

I actually bought this for my youngest cat, who's 11, but she only spent one night in it and then moved on (she's fickle about her sleeping arrangements). I did put a fuzzy pet pad inside because it's not cushy enough. So I then tried it on my two oldest. The 19 y.o. briefly sniffed it and walked away, but my 20+ y.o. has pretty much taken it over. She usually lies in it facing backwards, with her bushy tail hanging out. None of them have tried lying on top, however. 1/27: My oldest cat spent a lot of time in this condo in her last month of life, but now that she's passed on, it isn't being used, unfortunately. But she enjoyed it at least. 2/4/18: My younger cat now spends most of her nights sleeping in this condo. I added a small fuzzy cat bed to it to make it softer.

My cat loves this cave
I bought this for a new kitty who I have as a permanent foster from a local shelter. He wasn't satisfied with the cubby that is in the cat tree I got him so I was looking for something else that would make him feel secure. He was using a large cardboard box with a bed in in before but that had to be thrown out after he spilled some food in it and the ants came. When this got to the house, we unboxed it, gave it a few spritzes of catnip spray and put it in his room. He took to it immediately and loves it. One of his new feline sisters was kind enough to remove the toy from his cave. It was a small white mouse and not the brown pom pom pictured but it's so cute. I removed the elastic from the mouse and he has moved it into the cave with him. He is happy so I am, too. I recommend this cave to anyone who has a cat that wants or needs a safe place to hide but you don't want to have to go searching for him or her. It's well made, sturdy and very soft.

Not a waste of money for once.
Ziggi loves this cat house. Despite my expectations of her preferring the cardboard box it came in, she was straight inside, savaging the dangling mouse. I've spent more money on things she's shown total disinterest in.

Die Katzenhütte ist groß genug, dass zwei Katzen (beide normal groß) eingekuschelt oder eine Katze gestreckt drin liegen können/kann. Die Hütte ist sehr stabil gebaut und oben auf gepolstert, so dass es wie in der Abbildung als Liegeplatz angenommen wird. Die Fütterung in der Hütte könnte etwas besser sein, aber scheinbar scheint es unsere Katzen nicht zu stören... Die gut Qualität der Stoffe scheint gut zu sein und auch sonst ist sie verarbeitet und sinkt nicht (wie viele andere vergleichbare Produkte). Unseren Katzen gefällt sie. Lieferung ging gewohnt Amazon-Schnell! Preis-Leistungs und Preis- Annahme Verhältnis top! Klare Kaufempfehlung.
