Was 100% accurate.

Like this scale enough to buy a second after having a problem with the first one

This is a very good scale in use. The large metal hook and metal hanger it is connected to provides a substantial quality feel and hooks onto the luggage without fear of breaking or falling off. I find it to provide weight measures very close to what the Delta scales provide, but caution would say don't bet the baggage fee on it being exactly the same and go in a little under in case the airport scale reads higher. I rated this 4 out of 5 stars because the on/off switch broke off in my luggage at some point after many uses. I didn't realize that had happened during a period when I wasn't traveling which resulted in the scale being left on and draining the batteries. When found it like this just before a trip I tried to replace the batteries and I couldn't get the batter compartment off without damaging the cover. So between the batteries and the switch I needed another scale. And you know, after looking at what else is available I didn't see anything else I liked better so I purchased this same scale and had it delivered to me hotel even so. So it wasn't enought to keep me from buying another. Now I put it in one of those free little makeup bags I got from a department store cosmetics purchase and have had no problems. So, despite not giving it a 5 star rating because of the switch (which is almost flush so it doesn't seem vunerable) I would recommend this scale. I would just put it in some pouch to protect the face. The other other end of the scale is very rugged and am not worried about that.

Great luggage scale, accurate easy to use

I bought this one after quite a bit of research. Someone on a different product page had recommended it. I've used it several times and I am very happy with the results. Having the digital display is much better than those analog ones with the dial that turns. Once done weighing the display is easy to read. If you are looking for an accurate and easy to use luggage scale give this one a try.

Excellent travel accessory, before, during and on the way home.

Lots of positive reviews already, but it never hurts to have a current one. This is an excellent travel accessory. It works before you leave, after you pack, before you come home from your trip, and for other purposes besides travel. The first thing I tried was to weigh my empty bags. I was surprised to learn that one medium bag (carry on size) was a couple of pounds lighter than 2 others. That was good to know. I also was able to benchmark my large bags, and if I were to look for a new bag I can now compare the weight of the new ones. If you shop at places like TJ Maxx you don't necessarily know the weight before you buy. With this device you can. I plan on taking it on the next international trip, and it should be invaluable. It works simply- slide the switch in the middle towards the screen. That turns it on. Slip the hook under your bag's handle and lift. When you get a steady red light you have your weight. If you forget to turn it off it will turn itself off automatically.

Amazingly accurate

Bought this travel scale because I got tired of getting to the airport and my suitcases always being overweight. This scale is very easy to use and feels very sturdy. But, the best part is its accuracy. When I first turned it on I weighed some hand weights I had to verify that it works. The first couple of readings were a bit off and inconsistent. I decided to do a few more and eventually the readings were the same and matched the hand weights. I used the scale on my last trip. Had to check 3 bags and at different airports on that trip. On every leg of the trip I weighed the bags before I got to the airport to make sure I was within the specified limits and this scale was accurate to the decimal point at three major US airports. I was so pleased with this product that I plan to buy as gifts for all my friends.

Good luggage scale at reasonable price

This is by far the best portable scale I ever used, handy, and reasonable accurate. I prefer set it to unit pound, instead of kg, then use calculator to convert to kg, the actual difference is acceptable (around +- 0.1 kg in the range of 20-25 kg) comparing those airline luggage scale. On the other hand, direct results in kg were not so close to airport scale. The range of 30 - 35kg, the difference can be controlled to be +-0.3 to 0.5 kg IMO, sometimes up to 1kg. However battery cover is cheaply made and installed, one was missing during travel, so I used tape on another one to avoid (I bought two same time)... Another thing to be noted: I have to get enough new CR2032 batteries backup, low battery would make it display quite different result, I have to pay back later at airport, who knows, fortunately I got cheaper ones from Ikea. According to over one-year extensive use, I am pretty satisfied, so are my family. [update 2015-Oct-12] The scale still works well for another year, another point to be emphasized (same principle as any body scale) - to avoid the memory effect of continuous scaling and in order to obtain rather accurate result, I have to scale two significant-different-weight items, e.g. to scale 2 similar weight luggage case, I would scale a heavy jacket or shoulder bag in the middle. Most recent scale result vs. airport's are +0.2kg and -0.1kg (20-25kg range).

Great!

This product works amazing! Honestly we don't use it for our luggage. My husband makes small hay bales to sell as a part time job and a hobby that he enjoys. He was looking for a scale with a hook to use to wrap around the twine and weigh his bales to make sure they are all around the same size. So that it what we use this for and it works perfect.

small but easy to handle

Exactly what is describe! small but easy to handle. I did not test the precision but both of mine say the exact same weight when use on the same object. it did look strong enough to last a life time equivalent of the price you paid for it. So it is a yes for me!

Easy to use and "almost" 100% accurate. I weighed my 15 lbs dumbell and it's 15.2 lbs over.. may be the dumbell itself is not exactly 15lbs... ????
