A good extra hook

I like it, but sometimes it is difficult to get things in the plastic hook.

Not great with spinner-type carry-ons

The quality of this bag strap is good, it feels sturdy, no complaints about that. I particularly like that the hook folds out to hang a second bag and then can be folded back in to close over the handle. It gives a bit more security. Not much but still... However, I bought this to attach my tote to my carry-on suitcase and it turns out that it does not work well for that. Here is why: - My carry-on is small and my roomy tote has handles with an 8" drop. Even when I make the strap as short as possible and attach it to the carry-handle, the tote still touches the floor when I hang it on the hook. Since my carry-on is a spinner, i.e. has 4 wheels, I don't pull it behind me at an angle but rather roll it in an upright position next to me which causes the tote to be in constant contact with the floor. Of course that is not a good idea. When attaching the strap to the extendable (telescopic) handle of the suitcase, it interferes with the button that collapses the handle so that does not work either. The strap would really only work with a rather smallish tote/purse with short handles in order to keep it off the floor when attached to the suitcase's small carry-handle. - When the tote is full and has a certain weight, it tends to pull the carry-on forward until it is in danger of toppling over. That is not ideal either and another reason I cannot use this as intended. If I use it, it will be with a full-size suitcase. That should work well and keep my tote away from the ground. But for the above purpose, I will return to my old Travelon Bag Bungee which secures my tote on top of my carry-on. It makes the suitcase somewhat top heavy but my bag is securely attached, off the floor and if I am a bit careful does not cause my carry-on to topple. SUMMARY: Works well for large, full-size suitcases, not so much for small carry-ons, especially when they are spinner-type cases.

Makes travel a bit easier!

I have been using this strap for five years now. I take 3 international trips per year, so there is a lot of schlepping involved. I use the strap to attach my carry-on to my larger bag, so I have only one case to pull, one hand free. This is only until I check in for my flight, then checking the larger bag, but it still makes life a lot easier. And you can be sure that the instant I retrieve my bag upon arrival, the strap is the first thing I reach for. I have found the length of the strap to be just about right, and the collapsible hook is easy to use. I have been very happy with this little gem. Anything to make travel easier!!

Good bag strap, if it was longer it'll be better

As a flight crew carrying a bunch of carry on I'm happy with this strap . The strap is adjustable but full stretch is still too short. If it could be longer this strap will get the full 5 stars. However, it does the job and allows me to have a hand free whilst travelling. Also the build quality seems to be good. Will see after a few more uses.

Does the job, but a bit annoying to use

This bag strap does what it's supposed to do - permit the carriage of a second bag on a wheeled suitcase. It's sturdy, and the length is adjustable, but I've found the folding hook on the end that actually holds the added case handle to be difficult to use. It always seems to want to close when I'm trying to hook it onto my bag handle. The folding feature is designed to make the contraption take up less room when not in use, but I'd prefer a fixed hook that wasn't so frustrating to use. I haven't found anything else to do the job better so I still recommend it. Just be prepared to have to futz with the folding hook.

Hard to use

Bought this as I lost my original strap. Won’t be using it as it’s too hard to hook the bag strap on it. I’ll keep it as a back up for now. Do not recommend.

Awesome

Excellent way to carry an additional bag around. I travel for a living and my every day bag has a hook and the bag is being repaired. I bought this to get me through a couple of weeks with a standard carry on and a small bag attached to the hook. You can also attach another bag to free up a hand. ** Pro's Good build quality, easy to stow. ** Con(s) The hook opening is very small, and thus a small hassle to loop another handle or strap. I would highly recommend this.

I really like this strap (in concept)

This strap is exactly what I was looking for, in concept. I think this product is well built and designed well. Unfortunately, for me and my particular luggage it doesn't exactly meet my needs. First, the strap is too short. Before I bought this I saw a lot of other reviews stating the same thing but it's just one of those thing that you need to see for yourself. Hard to measure the exact strap length you would need. Second, as this is hanging from the top handle and putting all of the weight of the second bag on that handle I couldn't help but feel that it was going to pull the handle off of the suitcase. So, the two improvements that I would like to see that would make this strap outstanding: 1) a longer strap and 2) the ability to anchor it to some other part of my bag so that it's not pulling so hard on the main bag's top handle.

Not worth it

It wasn't worth it for me, it's not really adjustable to make it long enough so the weight of my flight bag just topples my overnight bag, needs to adjust longer so the added bag can sit on the floor when the bags are upright.

Very Short Strap

I'm sure this would probably last a while, assuming I had a use-case for it. The strap is extremely short and after several attempts of trying to add a bag, I gave up and just called this a loss. Disappointed..

Works well

Works well - the strap is a little long for the suitcase / bag combo I am using - shortened to smallest size and double looped it through the suitcase handle. The hook part does not open quite as wide as I would hope. Its all plastic - hope it holds up to my travel abuse.
