I am 5"3' and bought a mini for my camera bag. I like to hike and have tried many different neoprene straps. Nothing was quite right until this strap! The neoprene is just right, stretch but not too much. Clips to the bag are secure and plenty of adjustment for length in the strap.

this strap is awesome: stays in place, discreet, works with all of my tripods!
this strap is excellent for tripods. I'm sure it's also great for use with smaller, interchangeable lens cameras, specifically mirrorless systems, due to its smaller overall size and length. the padded area is well, uh, padded... thick and spongy, like neoprene should be. one side is covered in lycra that's smooth to the touch and glides easily over clothing while the other is rubberized, textured and exceptionally grippy. it allows you to flip the strap over to adjust the position then flip it back to lock it in place on your shoulder. it's easily adjusted for length and while it's shorter than their full sized SOS model, with thinner, 1" nylon webbing, it still gets long enough to allow cross-body camera carry for all but the fattest of fatties. you'll find it's perfectly sized for the majority of the homunculus population. however, as i said at the beginning, i use this as a tripod strap. i replaced the fiddly metal clips with a set of Peak Design strap adapters to maintain my "all straps fit all things" modus operandi. the fixed strap pad design allows me to shorten up a single end and put the pad in the proper location, my shoulder, while carrying any of my tripods slung vertically, inverted or cross body. that grip under the shoulder pad ensures my tripod stays in place on my shoulder and in the position i need it to be, out of the way, and comfortable for when i don't need it. the smaller size combined with significant strap length allows it to adapt on a range of tripods, from my gigantic 82" Slik (31" collapsed) for getting above fences, noise abatement and bollards along highways, my preferred travel tripod in the Benro Adventure 2 Carbon (68", 24" collapsed) and even my ultra small Benro Pro Angel 2 (57", 14" collapsed). this is possibly the closest strap to being "all things to all people." i'm sure some will wish it came in colors or designs or colorful designs yet others will try to fit it onto a pro body or a full size dSLR body with battery grip and complain it's too short. (well, yeah. duh). and then there are the chubbies who will complain it's too short and too thin, that the nylon webbing and "too small" strap pad cuts into their soft, tender flesh. (yeah, duh). so, unless you're an outlier or a moron, this should be a great strap for your camera, tripod, messenger bag, workout bag, small bore rifle, katana, boombox, or whatever. the only legitimate strike against it would be that it's ugly, or more accurately, bland. but bland is good if you're carrying a few grand worth of camera on the end of it.

Perfect for Tom Bihn Pilot
I bought this to use as a strap for my Tom Bihn Pilot bag. I liked the TB Absolute shoulder strap but it was just too big for this little bag so I found that OPtech makes those straps for TB. This 'Mini SOS Strap' is basically a smaller version of the Absolute Strap and it is perfect for the Pilot. I replaced the heavy clips with Duraflex ones and now it is truly the best strap for this bag.

I bought this as a replacement for a strap on my Tumi Everett Essential Tote. I had thought the strap that came with the bag was incredibly comfortable, but heard this strap could really help reduce the feel of the load. It works amazingly well and the reduction of the feel of the weight is incredible. I'm petite and one problem I have with buying straps (returned several others, including the Victorinox) is that even on the shortest setting, they are still too long. This strap was not only short enough in cross body mode, it was even short enough to wear it on my shoulder. One other thing I appreciated was the the neoprene also helped prevent shoulder slippage. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that I wish there was a holder of sort to allow for the extraneous strap to stay close to the actual strap. It bothers me a little that the ends of the straps just dangle there.

Wonderful item, just too short
I love all OP/TECH USA products in general. Superb quality and materials. Made in USA in plus. But these straps are too short. This one: the Mini S.O.S. was perfect, but it was too short to carry a messenger bag cross-body. Over one shoulder is just the right measurement. Fully extended it measures 50 inches to the end of the hocks. I think it will be great to have at least 4 additional inches at each end. I did have no choice, but return the strap.

Vey secure.
I bought this quick-release strap to use with Op-Tech Adapt-itsOP/TECH USA 1301322 System Connectors (Adapt-its)- Small Plastic Adaptors Used on Cameras to Enable Swivel Hook Attachment - (4-pack) on my Canon 7D digital SLR to be able to quickly connect and disconnect a neck strap when going between field and studio configuration of the camera. Although the strap is way over-kill for the weight of the camera it is a perfect interface with the Adapt-its and I never worry about the safety of the camera when I am using it.

This strap is sturdy and well made
This strap is sturdy and well made. Unfortunately it is a bit bigger than I hoped for. Not the strap's fault. These straps do seem to make bags lighter and thus eaiser to carry. I'll probably keep it and use it on a bag other than the one I originally intended it for.

Tom Bihn fan.
I have a Tom Bihn Co-Pilot bag that I use as an EDC and the excellent Absolute Strap (basically a larger S.O.S.) they sell is just a little too large. This strap is durable, industry leading quality, the perfect size for my 2-5 lb. bag and comfortable for all day carry.

As good as full size in quality but short straps.
As subject, really good pad and clasps but strap could be longer.
