Works great for Toro Weedwacker

Just a couple of things you should know...Overall, good product.
First thing's first...the idea of just using a disposable, pre-wound spool was a fantastic idea and I'm never going back. This is clearly the way to go so long as the price justifies it. That being said, there's a couple of things that could be done better to make this particular product better: 1.) The string is a slightly thinner gauge string than I'm used to and I've found that the thinner gauge string breaks a lot quicker, causing you to go through much more string than you would with a thicker gauge string. To be fair, however, the automatic feed which lets out 1/4" of string every time you let go of the trigger also contributes to it's string consumption. They may have made the string thinner to help minimize battery draining by reducing the workload on the motor. I've never gotten anywhere near depleting the battery, although my yard is relatively small (Southern California). 2.) I wish the spool contained a larger length of string. With the auto-feed feature described above, you go through quite a bit of string throughout the course of your trimming. A larger spool would cut down on the frequency at which you have to swap out the spools. Overall, I'll likely be ordering these again despite my perceived shortcomings with the product. Simply based on the fact that the convenience is more valuable to me. It's not like the spools are all that expensive. I wish I had more than one option for string thickness and string length.

Works well on weeds and snakes
Fit my battery powered Toro weed eater perfectly and arrived in the nick of time! There I was in my garage changing the spool when my daughter shrieked. I snapped the replacement spool in place and pivoted to see her pointing at the bottom of the spare freezer we keep in the garage. "Snake" she shrieked, so with weed eater in hand I dashed over to the freezer just in time to see the demon in question slithering out from behind the freezer which happens to be right next to the entry door into the house. The weed eater was already in my hands, so without a thought I powered it on and attacked the long slinky monster! Snap, lunge, snap, the whirring string connected again and again... the beastie tried to bite back at it but to no avail, the weed eater string won the day! I like this product. Rids property of weeds and snakes! Good product! :)

Toro Spools Work Perfectly With My Earthwise Trimmer
I have an old Earthwise 20 volt/12 inch trimmer nd I was looking for spoils that would fit it. I was very tired of having to wind my own spoils and was looking for an easier way since I have arthritis so bad in my hands. I was very lucky as the first attempt in buying these ended up fitting my old Earthwise trimmer with no problem. I followed the directions for putting them in as though they were being inserted into a Toro trimmer and they fit perfectly. So anybody out there that has a Earthwise 20 volt/12 inch trimmer, buy these as they fit perfectly and work perfectly! I hope they never discontinue these !

Not the best but can do the job
I purchased the wrong item however it does work. What was failed to mention though is it does not work well at all with their trimmers. The button I use to release continuously gets stuck so I have to take the cover off. Maybe not recommend for Toro 51480 Electric Trimmer/Edger

Take the old spool out and add the new one. Takes a minute and you are back in business. No more winding your own and fighting a snarl of plastic string.

Convenient 3 pack!
Excellent! Direct replacement for my model (51487). Got the 3 pack so I don't have to worry about spares for a bit and this was more economical than purchasing it one at a time. Just pop the old spool out and drop this one in. It can only go in one way so you don't need to worry about installing it backwards. Feed the line through the opening and advance the line and replace the spool cover. When in doubt follow your instruction manual.
