Perfect fit on my EGO
I bought these as a stop gap measure for my daughter to use around our farm while I was in the hospital. They where easy to install and she did not have to fool with wrapping line off of the spool I normally use. Now I have a couple of extra spools I can keep wrapped and ready to go while cleaning up fence line. Kent D.

Put my EGO back out there.
Perfect replacement for my EGO trimmer. This drop and go replacement spool was greatly appreciated. I swapped out my old empty spool and replaced it with this one in about 3 minutes. If I had the time I would wind my own but I would also have to buy the string and spend the time winding. I did keep my empty spool so that I can wind my own when I have the time so I would recommend to everyone to keep the old spool as others may want them or keep them for yourself and wind them up. Definitely check out videos online on how to wind your own. The quality of the string is the same that came with my EGO string trimmer. The bump-feep operation works perfectly. I would recommend putting this spool into the bump feed piece first then pulling the strings through the bump feeder to about 8 " on either side and then slide onto the string trimmer. I found this easier than placing into the trimmer and trying to do the reverse which it seems thats how the directions want you to do it. Really there is no wrong way but I found my way easier than the instructions. Whack away!

I am glad we bought this
We have the EGO Trimmer, and we have used it enough to completely run through the line. I was looking online and saw many different items being sold as replacements. It was at least a little confusing. I bought this unit hoping what it would meet all of my needs. Needless to say, it worked out well. The EGO unit was easy to work on. I pressed in the button on either side of the enclosure and it popped off. I removed the empty spool. With this spool, I pulled the cable out of the hole so it would unwind. I made sure that there was enough line pulled out for trimmer operation, then placed it properly in the enclosure and closed it back up. This took all of 5 minutes. I have used the trimmer and everything seems to be working fine. I will report back if anything goes awry. As a side note, this was the original spool being replaced. Apparently, when the line gets low enough, it just spins off the spindle. It is probably 6 inches or so of line that becomes unusable.

These refills work well for lazy people or old hands...
If you are unable to wind your own, these are a tiny bit cheaper than HD. My hands aren't strong enough anymore to tightly wind the spool, though you can get three for the price of one if you buy the roll and do your own. And if your EGO battery is close to three years and doesn't produce for the length of time that it should, don't wait until the three years are up! They won't help! I just found the piece of trimmer string, and it was twenty inches long! Wind your own! Buy the larger package and wind it onto the green spool that you have. And SAVE!

Great - Get Spares!
This is the pre-wound replacement for the EGO trimmer. I used the one that came with the trimmer several times on my 1/2 acre back yard. I just ordered a couple of spares. It is very easy to replace & I was surprised at how clean the old spool was when I removed it. This line is much more durable & longer lasting than the line on the Worx timmer that I used before I bought the much-better EGO trimmer. I know his because when I used the Worx trmmer, I'd find several pieces of string on the ground. That never happens with the EGO trimmer. The price on Amazon is a little less than at Home Depot.

Good Line
Good line, I just ordered the wrong spool I think. I have the 56V weed eater, whose spools are a bit larger and more intricate than these. Not a big issue - I just took the line out and placed it in my weed eater's empty spool

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!
It fits my Ego trimmer, but the string product is not available at the stores that sell the trimmer itself and believe me I looked everywhere. I am so glad that I was able to order the product online. I am learning to appreciate my computer and Amazon more every year.

Prix trop elevé
Le montant chargé pour cette article est beaucoup trop élevé si on compare avec un achat en quincaillerie. Je croyais que le prix était pour 2 bobines, sinon votre prix est exagéré
