I have to say, I was extremely skeptical when I first heard about Toppik Hair Building Fibers. I mean, the name alone sounds like something straight out of a science fiction movie. But as someone who has been dealing with thinning hair for years, I was willing to give it a shot. And let me tell you, I'm so glad I did! First of all, the application process couldn't be easier. All you have to do is shake the bottle onto your thinning areas, and voila! Instantly thicker and fuller-looking hair. I was honestly amazed at how well it blended in with my natural hair color (I went with the white shade). And the best part? It stayed put all day, even through sweat and humidity. Now, I have to admit, I was a little worried about what would happen if it rained. I mean, would I end up looking like a Dalmatian with white spots all over my head? But I put it to the test during a recent downpour, and I'm happy to report that my hair stayed looking great. No embarrassing white streaks in sight! And let's talk about the humor factor here. I mean, I can't tell you how many times I've caught someone staring at my head, trying to figure out if I'm balding or just have a weird hairline. Not bad, Toppik, but let's be clear about a few things....

So, if you're bothering to read reviews about anything like this in your ongoing battle with baldness, then let me be clear, right up front - the hair loss is winning the war. To terribly misquote Jim Morrison, "No hair gets out of here alive".... So, you're hoping against all odds that some miracle product will be a cheap, effective, undetectable cure-all in your fight against genetics or disease...well, the good news is THIS PRODUCT KIND OF WORKS. Let me be as transparent as the fine little hairs you're hoping will grow on your head - if you have some hair, but it's thinning pretty bad, this stuff will make it look fuller and hide some of the dreaded scalp showing through - however, if you plan on people getting really close to it, you can see the toppik on your scalp (at least, the dark colors show up if you're Caucasian or light skinned) - but this should work well for a job interview, a date in a restaurant, an acting/theatre gig, maybe even a family gathering - but if you plan on getting lucky and he/she not noticing the smudges on the pillow in the morning, you are out of luck....If battling hair loss is what you're up against, then Toppik is, metaphorically, another tool in the tool box. Use it with along with everything else - but use it in moderation. Too much and you're a powdered, bald donut. Finally, don't blindly listen to the claims by some of these Amazon reviewers saying it's "amazing" and "no one noticed" - because, if anyone looked close enough, they probably could tell you've got cornstarch type colored powder layering your nearly hairless scalp. On the other hand, don't listen to all these complainers saying it doesn't work at all or that it's garbage - they're just angry, balding trolls with sweaty scalps who were just hoping to find a dirt cheap solution to a problem that has plagued men and women forever. If you have little or no hair, this product really won't work - but if you're in the middle of your hair-less fight, you'll have some pretty good luck with this. I hope this review helps - as I'm someone who's done Bosley, Propecia, Rogaine, Toppik, Tocotrienols and have had some luck with all of them. If, after my long winded review you're still unsure (and you should be) then buy the tiny cheap bottle of Toppik (it will set you back around $10 with shipping) - it's a small price to pay to see if a product works for you. Great Product, Buy a Lighter Shade

This product will help fill your beard if there’s some thin areas or small patches but be aware that it won’t add hair that’s not there. It does cling to hair, but it really just darkens the skin color so it gives the appearance of a thicker beard. If you use on a patch with no hair at all, it will just look like you painted your face. Highly recommend getting the applicator. Saves effort and avoids wasting product. Practice a bit as well, it takes time to perfect. Less is more. Too much and people will notice it’s fake. As for the colors, I recommend getting a lighter shade than you’re used to. I have very dark brown hair/beard and the dark brown color is almost black. I plan on getting a medium brown next as I assume that’s just a dark brown.

Works!!

I had tried another brand that worked well but the thickness of the fibers irritated my scalp. A friend told me about Toppik. This works even better, and the fibers are non-grainy, soft and adhere to my hair very well. What I also like about this product is that it does not smear or rub off after application, which is a bonus. who wants flakes of this on their clothing or pillow when they sleep. It is not dye, but fiber of color that does not rub off. Buy this product you will love it. I am buying two more colors.

Works Wonders!

I have alopecia and this product works so well for the large spot that I have due to my alopecia. Once applied you can’t tell at all I have a bald spot. The only thing I hope they consider in the future is making this product water proof. It’s a shame that it washes out or starts to come off once any type of moisture hits it. I can’t workout without it coming off. Great product otherwise!

Worked for me but I accepted my fate and I have never been happier!

Okay guys, here is an honest review from a guy in his early/mid twenties who now buzzes his hair and has 0 regrets doing it but prior to that point, I used this on my crown because my hair looked good with a fade and some clay in it to style it the way I wanted, my only problem was my obvious thin crown. I have used this on about 4 dates with 4 girls and of these times, 2 of them were rainy days or snowing with some rain mixed with some flurries, in other words.. crazy weather. To my surprise, this product stayed on and I was paranoid that it would come off during these times, not only was it not running down the back of my head, it hadn't budged at ALL. I checked by having to excuse myself to the rest room, I took out my phone and put the camera facing me as I stood with my crown facing the mirror. Weather did absolutely nothing to it, freezing cold snow/rain couldn't make it budge nor could strong winds. The thing lasted until I washed it off that day or night. On some occasions, I slept over at these girls places after dropping them off and of course I just washed it off in the shower (or sink) and you have to go back to worrying a bit but I did that because I didn't want to smudge her pillows and make it obvious I am wearing anything, I just hid my crown from her view at all times which came easy when you are trying to hide your unlucky genetic code regarding hair lol, you eventually become good at it. Anyways, it works guys, don't do what I did and read EVERY review before purchasing and looking at some people with horrible reviews and think "oh no maybe this is the situation I am gonna have" No.. these people just simply didn't know how to apply it with their styling products or apply it in general. Trust me on this, it WILL work for you as it did for me as long as you have hair in the area you are covering, even if they are thin, just have SOMETHING there for it to hold on to. I can't speak for fully bald spots. At the end of the day, I only used this those times and never used it again, I simply grew my beard out corporate style, keep it short but thick, stopped going to a barber to line it up because I was doing that for awhile, instead of paying $15 to get it shaped, I bought a shaping template on Amazon for $12 and now I do it for free, paid for itself honestly. Beard with a buzzed head looks fine, there is some adjustment period but I never felt more free in my life, to walk into a bus or subway or around my city and not have to worry about if I am "exposed" via my crown. My suggestion is get this if you feel you truly need it and have no option but if you accept it and focus on a beard (unless you are lucky and look good without a beard like GSP) then you will feel so liberated and honestly look more bold. It sounds dumb but I get more attention now with a buzzed head, women just love feeling a buzzed head and a guy who is confident enough to rock one with a good beard and decent fashion sense. All about how you carry yourself boys! (and ladies)

Great thing but NOT for everyone!

Its a great product but it requires to be applied with skill and only for certain people. 1. You will NEED HAIR on your head! If you have not enough , this will create an effect of an "ashtray dipped head" and will look awful to say the least XD. ( My pal with less hair than me tried , and we had a lot of laugh with the result ) This works for me because I still have a hair, only thin. It does great job thickening them , but it won't produce hair ! 2.You will need fixer spray ! Dont skip this ! Or you might be up for embarasing surprise ... 3. Colour is great and the way this behaves is awesome . Cycling Jogging Walking , light rain and strong wind no problem! 4. Surprise - you can actually brush and comb yer hair ! however buy a pro comb - they are ANTISTATIC!! IMPORTANT. 5, I would say your hair would need to be longer 5-10cm at least (or longer ) - then the effects are better , very short men hairstyles might not create enough "foundation" to allow the fibres to anchor themselves properly. 6.dont put too much , this is a concealer not alternative to real hair :) It WON'T produce hairs . It will only make you look awful if you overdose .....

La mia salvezza! Un rimedio immediato per il diradamento dei capelli di uomini e donne

Ho iniziato ad usare il Toppik nell'agosto 2016, sotto suggerimento di una persona che ha il mio stesso problema e che lo utilizza da tantissimi anni. Premetto che soffro di Alopecia Androgenetica fin da quando avevo 15 anni e che da circa 11 sono in cura da un endocrinologo e, quindi, seguo una cura ormonale. Come molti sapranno, le cure ormonali ritardano la caduta dei capelli ma non la bloccano e quindi non c'è soluzione per questa patologia. Purtroppo per me l'alopecia è sempre stata una fonte di grande disagio e non è facile discuterne, soprattutto se si è donna. Sentivo spesso parlare di questo prodotto ma mi sentivo frenata dall'acquistarlo. Quando la situazione è peggiorata, ho voluto provarlo e quindi l'ho comprato. Mi chiedevo: e se fosse dannoso per la cute? E se poi si nota che non sono capelli veri? Soltanto provandolo potevo scoprire la verità! Il prodotto si presenta sotto forma di una micro-polvere di cheratina (è quindi un prodotto naturale), non tossico e senza profumo... Semplicemente una polverina "miracolosa" che si attacca elettrostaticamente ai capelli e che va a riempire le zone del diradamento. Inutile spiegare il mio stupore nonappena ne ho applicato un po' sulla riga dei capelli... SPETTACOLO! Anzi, un miracolo!!! La prima cosa che mia sorella ha detto è stata: "Comprane 100 pezzi e li metti nell'armadio per riserva!" Scherzi a parte è un prodotto che, se utilizzato con parsimonia e con la giusta accortezza, può aiutare chi ha problemi di diradamento o di alopecia androgenetica come me. Credetemi, vi sentirete rinati! Tutti i disagi che avevate nella vostra mente scompariranno e in conclusione vale il suo prezzo!!! Chiaramente, in tutta onestà, mi sento di raccontare anche i (pochi) lati negativi: - Teme l'acqua, quindi occhio alla pioggia e all'acqua di mare; - Quando si applica è chiaro che bisogna stare attenti/e, altrimenti ci si sporca il viso e in particolare la fronte; - I mobili del bagno si riempiono delle fibre di cheratina, che chiaramente svolazzano di qua e di là; - Per garantire una resistenza al vento e per non trovare residui sul cuscino, è bene utilizzare una lacca per capelli per fissare le fibre. Mi sembra che comunque i lati positivi siano più di quelli negativi! In base alla mia esperienza, posso dire che ahimè non posso farne più a meno. Con un flaconcino da 12 gr. ci faccio all'incirca un mese, comunque la durata del prodotto varia in base al diradamento, quindi è soggettivo. E' inoltre soggettiva anche la scelta del colore: io ho i capelli biondo cenere/castano chiaro e la nuance Medium Brown è praticamente perfetta! Se avete i capelli biondo scuro, potete scegliere il Light Brown oppure se li avete neri o comunque scurissimi, è meglio che prendete il Dark Brown, poichè mi è stato detto che la nuance Black è troppo finta. Spero che la mia recensione sia stata esaustiva e di aver soddisfatto tutte le vostre curiosità.

So far I am very impressed.

I was tempted to go for the cheaper option but after reading reviews suggesting they're cheaper for a reason, decided not to and I'm so happy I didn't. I tried this for the first time today and can instantly see the difference. I bought this to use along my hair line as I am receding (even though I'm a woman) and I never wear my hair in a pony tail because it highlights the hair loss especially because I'm so dark. My scalp is shiny making it much more obvious. I poured the toppik into my hand and rubbed it into my scalp and the shine has gone. There is baby /broken hair where I'm adding the toppik so I think that's why it's working, it wouldn't work otherwise I don't think. I also added it along my hairline by my ears, just to add a fuller look and it's worked brilliantly. I'll never wear my hair in a tight pony tail as this will encourage more hair loss, but now I'll be able to have a messy up do knowing my scalp and patches aren't obvious. Extremely happy.

Il miglior rimedio contro l'alopecia e la caduta dei capelli

Il Toppik è un prodotto cosmetico per capelli, unisex e di origine naturale, che consiste in fibre di cheratina. Queste fibre di cheratina si presentano sotto forma di polvere colorata, assolutamente innocua e che non causa problemi alla cute (ad esempio irritazioni, allergie, prurito, ecc..). Questo prodotto mi è stato consigliato circa 3 anni fa da un'amica che ha il mio stesso problema, ovvero l'Alopecia Androgenetica. Per chi non lo sapesse, l'Alopecia Androgenetica è una patologia causata da uno squilibrio ormonale e si tratta appunto di una patologia androgenetica e quindi ereditaria. Chi soffre di questa patologia assume dei farmaci per regolare gli ormoni ma, purtroppo, non sempre i capelli ricrescono e quindi si cerca di trovare dei rimedi alternativi alla classica protesi (parrucca). Utilizzo Toppik da circa 3 anni e da quando l'ho acquistato sono subito rimasta sorpresa per la sua efficacia! Questo prodotto si applica sui capelli puliti e asciutti, sulle parti dove il diradamento dei capelli è evidente. Queste fibre di cheratina 100% naturali si attaccano ai capelli donando un effetto volumizzante agli stessi e quindi donano l'illusione di avere una folta chioma. Basta applicarne una piccola dose su tutta la parte superiore della testa; bisogna fare attenzione a non sciuparlo, poichè andrebbe perduto e siccome è abbastanza costoso bisogna stare attenti. Dopo l'applicazione, è consigliabile utilizzare una lacca per capelli di buona qualità (io utilizzo Palette di Testanera, fissaggio Forte) oppure lo spray fissativo della stessa marca (Toppik), però la lacca è più economica. Una volta applicato il prodotto e dopo averlo fissato con un'eventuale lacca, il Toppik resisterà fino allo shampoo successivo. Resiste al vento, alla pioggia e anche al sudore. Purtroppo quando ne applico troppo, ne trovo una parte sulla federa del cuscino quando mi alzo la mattina ma si può risolvere questo problema semplicemente applicandone di meno. Dopo che lo avete applicato, non passate il pettine oppure la spazzola, perchè si tratta pur sempre di una polvere che può andar via. Bisogna avere dei piccoli accorgimenti e con un po' di abitudine potrà diventare il vostro alleato di bellezza! Posso confermare che il Toppik è un grande aiuto ANCHE E SOPRATTUTTO dal punto di vista psicologico, quindi se il diradamento di capelli è un problema che vi affligge e che vi rende tristi, allora il Toppik farà al caso vostro! Prima piangevo e mi disperavo ma da 3 anni a questa parte sto meglio psicologicamente gradie al Toppik. Avendo i capelli color biondo cenere/castano chiaro, utilizzo il colore Medium Brown (Castano Medio) ed è perfetto per i miei capelli! Se avete i capelli molto scuri o comunque tendenti al nero, prediligete la nuance Dark Brown, in quanto mi è stato raccontato che il colore Black è molto finto. In conclusione: si applica con facilità, deve essere fissato con una lacca per capelli, resiste alle intemperie (vento, pioggia e sudore), va via con lo shampoo e lo potete applicare tutte le volte che volete! Il flaconcino da 12,5 gr. ha una durata media di 1 mese (se avete un diradamento lieve o modesto). Provatelo e rimarrete entusiasti! Spero che la mia recensione vi sia stata d'aiuto.
