Good companion to the non-light version

The 15029 magnifying glass is a good companion to the Titan 15036 2.2x magnifying glass. Both are of rugged construction, and both have glass lenses. This version with the light is stated to be 2.2x also, but comparing them side by side, the version with the light is noticeably stronger. The titan-us.com web site gives this info: Item ID: 15029 Description: 4.4x Magnifying Glass with LED Light. Not 2.2x. The non-light version works better for scanning text; the lighted version is better for close detail work. Depending on your needs, it may make sense to get both of them. Works for me. Titan has solid reasonably priced glass magnifying glasses here, really quite good.

I purchased this lens based upon the few reviews on Amazon. It is a well made lens, but the light is very poor. I will keep it anyway, and search again for a lighted magnifying glass that actually lights up the area being magnified...The problem with the light was found weeks later to be the batteries. There are three LR44 batteries in the handle. When I replaced them, the light lights up the area being magnified very well. In fact, the light can be used like a small flashlight.

Value purchase

Bought 2 one for husband and one for myself after he brought home a friend's to do some detailed research. Awesome and great price.

Shipped with DEAD batteries.....beware.

This is a great addition to have in your tool chest for those challenging visual situations and for those of us with faltering eyesight! I gave this three stars because the one shipped to me had DEAD BATTERIES! So I had to spend more money on top of initial purchase to make this functional.

AWESOME!

Good feel to the handle, magnification is great and having the LED light under it makes this a must have for those of us with aging eyes. I've also purchased this same magnifying glass WITHOUT the light, but spend the extra couple of bucks and get the LED model - well worth it!

Totally awesome!

The word was used before, but this is awesome! The glass lens is so clear and clean I can see things i couldn't see with less expensive plastic lens. The light really is worthwhile as well.
