Ease of use to cover plants
The size and weight of the plant cover was good. If it wasn’t defective I would have given it a better rating. The problem I had was that the string to cinch the bottom of the cover around the plant was inadvertently sewn into the hem of the fabric so when pulled it didn’t work. I was unable to gather the fabric and had to hold down the fabric down with bricks. Without being able to cinch the bottom my plant cover will not work on taller plants. Disappointed.

Pieces Missing
While I love the cloth, I was disappointed with the seller as 2 of the 5 packages of plankets were missing the landscaping stakes.

Ships very slowly; ok quality
I ordered two of these and it said they would arrive the following day. Four days later, one of them shipped and arrived 11 days after I placed the order, long after it was still needed for our cold snap. The second one hadn’t even shipped so I was able to cancel it. I plan to keep the one that arrived, but know that these are made of typical landscape fabric that you can buy at most home improvement stores and nurseries. They just sewed them into circles and added a drawstring. I would make a different choice next time.

Nice plant covering system at good value
We live near Conroe, TX where the temperatures drop to 25 a few times in the winter, occasionally to 20, rarely below. So these covers with stakes are pretty nice for a quick install and look nicer than sheets or other non-purposed covers. The material is lighter weight than a heavier cotton sheet, but it is sufficiently dense to get the job done against frost. It tends to shed rain better than a sheet and does let the plants breathe, unlike plastic. The stakes match grommets about the perimeter to assist anchoring the fabric against winds, but unless you can spread out the fabric across your plants and have the anchors come down to the earth just right, you will need some weights or other anchoring means to assist holding the fabric down. Also, we found in our premium, soft bedding soil, the stakes do not hold nearly as well as in the natural clay beneath our grass sod. Also the grommets will easily pull out of the fabric if you try to gather the fabric around the stake to pull it out of the soil, but I doubt wind force would be enough to pull out the plastic grommets. In a few places we put tape on the fabric (to prevent tears) and used "Orbit DripMaster 65731 1/2-Inch to 5/8-Inch Loop Stake" we ordered from Amazon to anchor the fabric. This worked well and did not pull out as readily as the plastic stakes. In any case remember to ANGLE the stakes so the pull of the fabric is working on the stake laterally and not in line. One other thing to keep in mind is the weight of water because if the fabric is pulled across several small shrubs, for example, water collecting between them may weigh enough to pull adjacent stakes out of soft bedding soil. It is better to leave a little slack in places and live with the fact the fabric will raise and lower with the venturi effects of the wind passing over (like a fabric convertible top). I took off one star for the grommets being a little too easy to pull out. Other wise, we were very happy with the product.

Keeps the cold air out
Good for temporary use. I typically remove this "planket" when the sun is out and temperatures go above zero or 32 degs F. All plants need natural light, so prolonged use would have a detrimental impact on the plant etc. This one comes with rings at the corner of the "planket" so you can secure it via pegs, or hooks etc. Those pegs are supplied separately. Unfortunately the rings easily get torn out of the material when there is gusting winds of 10mph or more. TIP: Don't use this as a ground sheet for weeds.

Planket
I did not know that there were no pegs to hold it down. One package should have been included for the price. It is a thin large cover and worked well for my front garden. Frost protection...not sure? But I needed it to cover the lower level to protect my plantings from city road salt and fine gravel that is blown all over my garden from city plows and private lane snow removal companies.

Its resistance depends on the fixing method used.
I bought this canvas because it allows the plants to have some ventilation ... Its resistance depends on the fixing method used. That is to say that a rope must wrap the shrub as much as possible to prevent this canvas from tearing in strong winds. On the ground, I put stones so that the canvas does not rise, in addition to the stakes around.

very thin membrane and not very tough
upon installation the wind made the membrane flap and tore three gromlets. It did not last more than five minutes.

Arrived quickly and was a great size.. eyelets started to rip out immediately though

Ne pas acheter.
Produit non recommandé parce qu'il est trop fragile. Le tissus se déchire facilement. Il n'est pas fait pour les hivers québécois.
