Good value
Using to circulate water in a 55 gallon undergravel filter. Hopefully it last longer than the last brand I purchased.

Side plug comes out
Works great, except the plug on the side keeps popping off. I had rig it so it stays in. Runs a little warm but works great for the price

I recommend these pumps, but read my whole review.
Wow! Not only does this thing work, it is very powerful. I got this, to create some water movement, in my 40 breeder. I chose this size (the 317gph), based upon it being about 8x the volume of my tank. Based upon the research I did, you want to turn your tank's water 5-10 times per hour. I put it in the tank, turned it on, and it started blasting water. My plants were getting ripped out of the substrate (some of them, and they haven't had a lot of time to develop a good root system, yet), and my fish were fighting plenty of current. For a larger tank (maybe a 75 gallon), this might be the right sized pump. I actually ended up buying another pump, with half the gph rating, to use in my 40 breeder, and it creates just about the right amount of water movement, for my tank. Keep in mind, I have some fish who prefer medium-fast water movement (zebra/glo danios, harlequin rasboras, pictus catfish), and some who like medium-slow movement (rams, dwarf gourami). I would definitely recommend these pumps. It is nice that you can swivel the output, to point it where you need it, rather than just straight out from the wall. They have plenty of power. Just, make sure to take that into consideration, when choosing the size you want to buy. As with many other purchasers, I am confused as to what purpose the flexible plastic hose, which comes with it, is supposed to serve. At first, I assumed it was meant to move the intake or output, to somewhere other than where you stick the pump. It does not fit on either the intake or output nozzle. It will fit on the smallest "step" of the intake guard piece, but what good would that do? I also thought, maybe it is for water changes, but it is not nearly long enough, to be useful for that purpose. Although, these pumps are great for water changes. Just get some 5/8" inner diameter tubing, and stick it on the output nozzle.

Small problems, but worth the price.
I got these for an under gravel filter in my 55. They seem to produce plenty of current, but have two small problems. First, they produce a great deal of vibration, which translates into noise, both of themselves and also of the two filters I have hanging in the back of the tank. I bit of securing the powerheads and the noise is greatly reduced. The second problem concerns the other discharge port; the stopper that blocks it popped out as soon as I plugged in one of the units and refuses to stay put when replaced. Other that that, good packaging, good price, good performance, so good deal.

Does what I needed
I bought this to aid with water changes in my aquariums. I did have to purchase a longer hose for it (the one that came with is barely 2 feet long) and then use a hose clamp to keep it on, but that's not a part of the original design. What does keep this from being a 5 star review is that the nozzle part that swivels is prone to coming off if you're not careful with it. Overall, so far I'm happy with the purchase because water changes are a lot easier now.

Works great, great power and water flow.
The media could not be loaded. This power head works GREAT. I personally bought this to make water changes faster, because I buffer my water before adding it to the tank. Going about 6ft in height, from the bottom of my water container to the top of my 55 gallon aquarium, the flow was only slightly slowed. It took me about 10 minutes to change out 20 gallons of water. In the aquarium it is definitely pretty powerful. I wouldn't use it in anything less than 30 gallons, unless your goal is to create a ton of current. Some people have said they couldn't get the little hose that comes with it to attach to the power head, I had no problem with that whatsoever. The hose itself is made of flimsier material, but I've removed/attached it many times and it shows no sign of wear and still fits snugly onto the power head. I've included a video of the power head in my 55 gallon aquarium.

Loudest power head I’ve ever owned
This power head is Loud by far the most noise I have ever had from any powerhead not worth the money
