Easy to Use and Read

While this is larger than I realized when I put it in my drawer, I can also find it easily and it’s well protected in its case. It registers the temperature quickly and the display is easy to read. It comes with the charging cord, but not the wall unit – but most of us have several of those already. I’ve had Taylor products before, and they have all been well-made and I’m hoping (expecting!) this will be too. I used this at Thanksgiving (turkey) and at Christmas (ham) and made sure to charge it before each use, and had no problems at all. The temperature was very close to my old thermometer which I keep in the meat in the oven. I think it may be time to replace the old one with this one, as this is so easy to use and read.

Bigger than I expected, consistent readings

Taylor is a brand name that is familiar to me for scale and thermometers. I love the idea of having a rechargeable thermometer. We already have one for the BBQ don’t like it’s loudness. It’s bigger than I expected. The head is almost twice as wide as a teaspoon. For people who like big displays, this is great. I wish it wasn’t so bulky in for my drawer. Compared to our other thermometer, they were pretty closer when using room temperature water. For cooked items, I had some trouble because of hot spots in the broth. Once I measure the braised chicken, the Taylor thermometer was pretty consistent in different parts of the meat. My other thermometer varied more on temperature. Overall it’s a good thermometer but I personally wish it was smaller.

To those of you who've previously read my Reviews, You know that I [just] don't give 5 stars very often, if at all, BUT.... This Food Thermometer has Fast become a Valued Tool in my Kitchen! It's Quick & Easy to use, Accurate [down to a tenth of a Degree - Fahrenheit or Celsius], has a Thin Probe Tip -- but not Sharp, (so it's safer than my OLD sharp & poke-prone Thermometer). It has a USB C Port for Recharging, but You won't need that very often, as it holds a Charge for quite a while -- It's has a Back-Light for easy readability, even in low-light situations. 4.95 Stars for this Essential Kitchen Tool!! GET ONE!

Fast Reading; Sensitive; Simple

Not an overly complicated digital thermometer. No real instructions were needed to operate the device. I like the large digital display with the blue backlit LCD panel, and the large/beefy size of the thermometer, which often gets lost in the junk drawer. I was impressed with the relatively quick measurement of the meat temperature, and I noticed it will also register as a room thermometer. The device needs to be charged using a USB-C to USB cable, which came with the thermometer. I am not sure how long the battery will last, but from a day-to-day kitchen use, I think the battery will last for a while after a full charge. Overall, I enjoyed using the thermometer and was impressed with the performance.

Taylor Rechargeable Instant Read Food Thermometer

I compared results of this Taylor thermometer with a ThermoWorks "Pocket Digital" instant read thermometer. The Taylor was a little less "instant," but not at all slow. The two thermometers were in 2/10ths of a degree difference in a couple of different tests. The Taylor is a bulkier than the ThermoWorks. The cost is a little less for the Taylor. I appreciate that the proper temps are included on the Taylor case. I like that it's USB rechargeable. They're both fine.

Great Tool to have in the kitchen!

Such an easy to use-easy to read thermometer that gives precise and consistent readings each and every time. I really like the look and design of this thermometer as it easily allows you to see what the recommended temp is for different meats such as chicken, beef etc It’s lightweight and pretty compact, and best of all its charged by a usb! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Simple and gets the job done

This Taylor Precision USB Rechargeable Digital Instant Read Food Thermometer caught my eye with the rechargeable aspect of it. I swear I never have those little batteries that the battery operated ones always take! This instant thermometer is pretty easy to read and the accuracy seams pretty consistent. When compared to another thermometer I have (that was ridiculously expensive by the way) it was pretty much within a few degrees in all of my tests. Overall pretty happy with thisZ
