Fit my large project perfectly
I needed a much larger hoop for a sashiko repair stitchery project. This one fits perfectly.

This item is very tight and I found difficult to get on my embroidery material
Embroidery material by nature is thicker and this item is too tight and it is hard to get the top ring on the material. It took both my husband and me to get it on. I have embroidered for many years, took a break, and decided to get back into it, so perhaps I am using it wrong to be fair, but it is unbelievably tight. Even as I am working, it pops off the material sometimes. When cleaning out a closet recently, I found my old one and have reverted back to using it. I didn't return because the price was so low. Guess you get what you pay for really is true

Holds tightly with out marring fabric.
This inexpensive plastic hoop will hold your fabric taunt yet not pull or mar the fabric. I have used many hoops, plastic and wood other than a $20.00 beechwood hoop this one works best. I have then from 4" to 12" they all are like this.

Flimsy
I disliked the fact, that it doesn't have a nice lip to hold the material and it is flimsy made

Nice product for the money - prefer it to wood hoops
This item works fine. I like using a larger hoop than my project so I have more room to work around the edges of my design (I don't like butting up against the hoop when I'm trying to work). I use this 10" hoop for my 5x7" projects. Over all, I like plastic hoops more than wood because I think the wood ones sometimes warp. The only exception is if you want to "frame" your finished project with an embroidery hoop (instead of a traditional frame with a double-mat) - in that case only, I'd use a wood hoop.

Large embroidery/darning foot.
I bought this primarily for use darning with my machine, It does work, but the needle and presser foot don't lift high enough to allow the the hoop and fabric to slide underneath so I can sew. I finally wound up taking the darning foot off, then positioning the hoop, and then reinstalling the foot. Needless to say, having a open toe foot is a big help.

High quality embroidery hoop
These super grip hoops keep your material firmly in place. They have a special lip at the top side of the hoop. If used the wrong way round your material will slip. There are simple instructions on the label which explains how to use correctly. Printed on the top side of the hoop there is raised printing saying this side up. I have been using an 8" hoop for a few years and absolutely love it. It shows no sign of wear and holds my embroidery as firmly as when the hoop was new. The only down side is the long lead time for delivery. However my other hoops all arrived early. This one was due 1st Oct., but I received today 19th Sept. Even if it had been another 2 weeks the wait would have been worth it.

Warped
Useless. One of the hoops is warped so they are completely misaligned and don’t hold fabric at all, let alone holding it taut. In the door and directly to the bin.

Great item. Quite a bit too large for me, though.
Item was exactly as described and in excellent condition. Arrived nice and early. Had to return it because it wasn't the right size for what I needed. Got a full refund almost instantly. Excellent service!
