NO STAINLESS BELT CLIP!!
The sheath itself is pretty nice. Holds a Lews standard pliers set nearly perfectly. I sent my first set back to get a replacement. Neither one had the stainless belt clip. It does have belt loops that worked pretty well so I kept the second set. I called T-Reign to confirm the part was supposed to come with the belt clip. T-Reign was not able to send me a clip. I suspect the Amazon seller is selling second hand sheaths, or rejects as they are missing the clip.

Best Fishing Gear Purchase I've Made
Some reviewers cite the fact that these pliers are rather short and wide for being needle nosed. That being said, I have only encountered that being an issue while fishing for panfish. I carry an additional smaller pair when panfish are the primary target that day. That being said, I will still have these T-Reign Pliers on my belt any time I go fishing. They are absolutely perfect for bass and musky fishing, which is what I mostly do. The retractable tether is tight in that if you drop / let the pliers hang, they will only fall a few inches and are easy to grab and place back into the sheath. The only flaw in the design is the metal clip on the back. I bent it out within two uses. Though it probably could have been bent back into place, I felt that the metal was of a poor quality and/or strength so I simply removed it. The sheath still has closed belt loops that I have been using ever since and actually like a lot better. I only was using the clip because I am not the kind of guy who likes going into town with a pair of pliers on my belt for no apparent reason. That being said, the belt loops allow you to be nearly 100% sure that your are not going to lose your pliers. The line cutter on the side of the pliers is absolutely outstanding. It will cut every type of line you could want to fish with. The other plus is that it appears that both the blade and cutting surface of the line cutter, as well as both gripping parts of the pliers can be removed and replaced if they eventually wear down. I have not actually looked into buying these parts, but the assembly looks like it can be disassembled with a hex drive in such a way to just replace these parts. Even if it turns out I'm wrong about this, if my line cutter ever dulls out, I will just remove the blade piece to sharpen it. Either way, the design seems to be more of the "simple, yet effective" type, and I tend to like that in a utility tool. If you fish enough, and are anything like me, you will lose pliers unless they are attached to you somehow. This is not only the best attachment method I've yet to find, they are also quality pliers that will last a long time and serve their intended purpose well.

Nice holster that keeps my gear!
T-reign retractable plier holder: The holster is awesome! Here are my two cents: Positives: -The holster itself is well built with good material. -The holster is stiff and not flimsy and it does not bend -The retractable system is built into the holster -The force of the retraction is strong and it has no issues bringing back my pliers after I dropped them. -stainless steel belt clip. Good for saltwater applications Negative: My pliers snag on the decorative borders on the inside of the holster. It would be nice if the borders were one full piece on the inside and not just a thin strip of fabric to cover the edges. That would eliminate the snagging. I did not buy the T-Reign pliers that is made for this holster so I do not know if that snags. I am using the holster for the EGO titanium pliers. It is a coincidence that the EGO holster it came with is the exact same holster as this one without the retraction system. The following are suggestions for improvement because this is more for personal preference and it does not seem to affect its performance: 1.) The belt loop in the back of the holster works fine but it appeared like it was a cheap add-on and not very well thought out. I would like to see better design on belt loops like one for upright carry and one for sideway carry. 2.) The stainless steel belt clip is fine for a more narrow belt but not for wide belts. For me, it defeats the purpose of using the belt clip because my pliers snag in the holster which causes me to rip the entire holster off my belt before I am able to take the pliers out. 3.) The catch at the end of the retracting line is an orange PLASTIC tab. I wish it would have been aluminum. Over time, I can foresee the plastic tab breaking and the retracting line disappearing into oblivion.

Awesome sheath for wading
I did not like the metal clip. I planned on using these with waders and did not want the metal against my Simms waders. I replaced that with a holster style clamshell plastic belt clip. This makes it not slide around and adjustable for different belts but most importantly while fishing it locks them on your belt, you can remove it on purpose. I really love this set up! The retractable lanyard works like a dream and does not get tangled with your line. I have a leather set up for when I am not wading but I cannot say enough about this design. I use Fishpond pliers and they fit perfect. It Dries very fast and keeps the pliers easy to reach yet secure at the same time. No issues with then snagging as some have said I literally searched every plier lanyard and sheath available and trust me this is the best for wading period. Be prepared to get a better clip. Makes sure the clip has a center hole for installation or drill your own. Tight Lines!!!

Useful product
Great for my fishing belt unlike other lanyards ( stretch /telephone cords) that tangle with everything. Still not sure how it will hold up in salt water but so far so good. Will update.

Excellent pliers. The handles are aluminium for weight and salt water resistance. Because of that you should not use them for twisting motion. They will cut braid.

Non è male ma il prezzo è altissimo rispetto ad altre pinze che sono presenti sul mercato ,per non parlare che adesso costa 70 euro rispetto a quanto L ho pagata io un prezzo improponibile se ne volessi comprare un altra sarebbe impossibile
