Great gate.
Purchased to keep my two goldens out of the kitchen. One is a serial tripper who loves to stay underfoot & the other is a habitual counter surfer. No amount of training has kept my stubborn boy from trying his best to retrieve food from the counter. Needless to say, that combo doesn’t make for a fun time while trying to cook, etc. This gate works great for what I needed. It’s easy to install & is very sturdy. It closes on its own unless it’s pushed all the way open. I def recommend & would purchase again.

Plastic door unexpected
Everywhere in the description it states that this is a metal gate. I expected the decorative door of the gate to be metal as well, but it’s plastic. I hope it will stand up to use. I am training my dog to keep paws off the gate to avoid that getting pushed in. It is pretty though.

Best choice if you have dogs
I tried the regular gates and they was hard having to jump over so we decided to go with this one and its easy to install and has been the best choice especially letting the dog in and out from certain areas. I would recommend everyone to give this a try.

Inviting front door
My front door is always open to let the breeze come in. This is inviting to my neighbors/guests. This gate keeps the baby in no problem, and the older kids need help getting in/out. Love that it can be kept open when bringing in groceries or whatever.

Really good gate
We got this gate (the espresso color) to put at the bottom of our stairs to keep our grandbabies from trying to crawl up the stairs. It looks really nice and blends in with the decor of our home compared to the gates that are white and look like prison bars. We did buy the rubber discs to help protect the drywall and we have not had a problem with the gate moving or shifting in any way, however, my husband didn't tighten the two upper feet enough when he first installed it and our grandson was able to pull the door open almost as soon as he got here but after tightening it some more that hasn't happened again. The mesh on the door is plastic but seems sturdy, my grandson pulls it all the time and it won't budge. I think if it were metal it might cut or pinch his little fingers without the give of the plastic. It took my husband about 30 minutes to install it and it didn't give us any issues at all. I would recommend it.

I thought the gate was bent at first, but it’s not.
At first I thought, “Oh no, the gate is bent!” It’s NOT. There is a small tag attached to the gate which says, “the gate may appear off center or bent” or something like that. I was confused at first because I didn’t see the tag initially. It doesn’t say this on the instructions. But it was an easy install. I bought two and I am using them a barrier to keep my dog out of the kitchen and bedrooms. It looks classier than baby gates.

Looks nice, doesn’t function properly.
My father in law installed this for us and the latching system is hard to work with. It worked for about a day and now all you need to do is lift up and it will open. Which isn’t bad because my son who is 2 still can’t open it. The main goal is to keep him from falling down the stairs and/or playing on the stairs. This was installed in July and it is now January and the door stopper has broken off. Which allows the gate to swing open both ways. Now at this point I will need to order something else to replace it because it will not keep him from falling down the stairs. I hope this helps.

Excellent Gate For The Money!!
Purchased two of these Gates for my daughter to corral her dogs. They were so easy to install and they look great. They're sturdy and we would definitely purchase them again.

Very good value, better than expected.
Well made. As ad text states, it comes “warped”. This is on purpose, it insures that there is outward tension against walls and not gate. We were really impressed with how well made this thing is. Gate is spring loaded to close, but also to stay open. There is a clever mechanism that once you have opened the gate past a certain point stops trying to close it and reverses spring force to hold gate open. Spring is fairly strong and I attached small piece of felt to gate edge to prevent it from damage wall (where it made contact when fully opened). Instructions are set of diagrams, note that you lift the gate to open. After less than a week we have ordered a second unit. We are that impressed.

Muy bonita y funcional pero NO para escaleras.
Mi recomendación es para los papás, esta puerta es segura para instalar y comunicar habitaciones, un bebé estará seguro pues jna vez instalada correctamente, (sugiero ver el video tutorial que se puede buscar en YouTube -el manual no tiene un link pero basta con escribir el nombre del producto) Pero si cuidado, definitivamente no para una escalera. No confiaría ni dos segundos de dejar a un bebé solo en una segunda planta con ninguna puerta pero no solo si no se instala y sujeta contra muros esta reja no es una buena opción, sino que es demasiado frágil el material que decora la puerta. El ornamento de la puerta es de plástico lo que la hace imposible de soportar peso. Y que además le resta puntos a lo que pudo haber sido un producto perfecto. En mi caso realmente buscaba algo que fuera más práctico para abrir y cerrar y detrás de ella esta el pequeño Beagle de la familia a él si que le gustó y le quitó el estrés de no ver a través de la puerta de seguridad que tenia anteriormente. Por lo que esta reja es ideal para mascotas pequeñas y no para un gran perro, si bien es sólida el material es más bien delgado. La puerta requiere ser elevada para abrirse mientras se aprieta el botón de seguridad, si la puerta no está correctamente cerrada, un perro pequeño puede empujarla para pasar por el espacio que deja. La puerta debe ser cerrada suavemente pues si la azotas te llevas de por medio el sistema y suele abrirse fácilmente si no lo haces con cuidado. Por otra parte, tiene un tope que hace que no se vaya al otro extremo de golpe. Lo que más me gustó es que luce muy bonita en casa. Aunque me gustaría hubiera una versión de la reja en blanco.

ugh. defective or just bad
I bought two for my house, they look great and it was on sale on Amazon instead of Babies r Us. I couldn't wait to get them, as soon as I opened the first one it was defective the door would never be able to close as it was spread in a V, not having the door and side it should attach to lined up. I was so disappointed but thought I at least had the second one, when I opened it it was defective too, in the exact same way. they've been returned because they were useless.

very durable!
its metal and super strong! The middle section is plastic but you kid would probably have to be way older to really try and damage threw it. It may also seem that the metal is bent or poorly made but it bent for the reason of tension between the opening of the door so don't worry. I bought two of them and they where made exactly the same.

Funcionalidad de 10, instalación complicada
Compré dos para evitar que mis hijas de dos años suban y bajen por las escaleras. Al principio, como varios en reseñas, pensé que la puerta venía con defectos de fábrica porque no viene alineada al resto de la estructura, pero después de leer el instructivo me di cuenta que es para lograr un mayor ajuste y seguridad al momento de colocarlos. Los recomiendo mucho, pero no olviden leer súper bien el instructivo antes de intentarlo por su cuenta.
