Compact And Light Weight

I tried 4 pairs of binoculars before finally getting these ones. I really wanted a compact pair for travel, to stick and keep in my carry on bag. I tried expensive ones and cheap ones and all of them were bulky and heavy. Until these. Only criticism (and I'm not deducting any stars for this) is that the case is kind of bulky. Nice small binoculars...until you put them in the included case. No matter, I had a padded small case that is perfect.

Light, clear all around good inoculars

I like these steiner. They are clear, sharp and easy to Han dle. But I bought them for my daughter and after looking thru them she decided 42 x 8 would be better so I am returning them. But I will say that this Was the worst packaging I have ever seen for an item that is fragile. The bag was open. The extra box was open & the box with the Steiner logo was wide open. You could see the actual case. There was absolutely no padding of any kind. I have never seen such negligence in packaging from Amazon

Amazon warehouse sends discontinued model instead of one pictured

Poorly packaged in damaged manufacturers box in sent in a plastic bag.. Item arrived undamaged and complete.. As for the binoculars themselves, I am satisfied and they appear to be a quality product and provide a sharp, clear image. Too bad about the older model, I was expecting the current model as pictured.

Bought for my wife but . . .

. . . I’m keeping them myself. Bought myself the Nikon Trail Blazer’s & the Steiner’s for my wife. Needed small ultra lights for an Africa trip next year. I’m a Nikon fan boy & I gotta tell you I sent the Nikons back. These Steiner’s had more precise focus fixed well designed eye cups. The Nikons were the twist out type too loose to hold position. The eye relief on the Steiner’s much better. I may let her use my, er her, new Steiner mini’s.

Great. It a Steiner!

I use these for travel and on our boat. My 3rd pair of Steiner. Leave one at home and one I hunt with. Perfect size and easy to pack.

Good choice for casual viewing and travel.

Very clear vision, light weight and perfect for travel. Just back from the Cinque Terre and this model Steiner did the job. While on the ferry going from village to village we could clearly see - in sharp detail the shoreline and the villages. Standing on the ground looking up at the Tower of Pisa...clear as a bell with excellent detail. No prism edging just clear vision. No stabilizer nor auto focus just a simple good pair of light weight 10x26 binoculars. Our goal was to keep the bulk and weight down in our shoulder / tote bag. If you plan to study objects through a pair of binoculars for an extended period of time these are not for you. If you want an inexpensive no frills travel binocular with good optics this model is a good choice. I read many reviews on Amazon before the purchase. We did not notice any of the "Cons" listed in some of the reviews. That said, those reviewers seemed to desire higher end binoculars for advanced viewing. I've used the $1K and up optics and wow those are amazing but to heavy and way too much risk for travel.

Decent optics let down by the eyepieces

Love the optics, very clear with little distortion. The only rub is the eye pieces which have taken some time and commitment to adapt to and use effectively. I would have preferred a different eyepiece, and would have returned them if not for the stellar glass. All in all, they are worth the money and time to adjust to them.

As good as bigger more expensive models

Took this on safari(appropriate given the name) and they performed as well as models other people had that were larger and more expensive. Not the best set I've used but an excellent value.

Highly Recommended

Great value for money great spec comes in very handy case with strap for around neck. Brilliant focus. Rubber covers around eyes for protection against sun rain or wind can be easily folded back when not needed. Small but Mighty.

Compared to the cheap binoculars I have used for years, these Steiners are outstanding. Can't think how much better the ones higher up the range can be. Very pleased

Where German ???? label

It should write some that made from Germany ???????? specially top on binoculars. As I see there German label in photos. I’d have send back. But item it’s very good and good price I’d not send it back thanks any way
