Does not fit the Dewalt as advertised
This item is a great product and of high quality, however, I was under the impression it would fit the Dewalt cordless as it was advertised together under frequently bought together. I bought all 3 (Sanding wheel, cutter blades, and the Dewalt cordless grinder. When I tried to use the sander it was then determined it does not fit the grinder. Is there possibly an attachment I am missing that would allow me to use it?

Steelex D1072 sanding wheel 80 grit
Each shop would have a different use for this abrasive wheel. As a maker of wooden branch flutes, this works well for surface grain effects. We also found that when making sunflower stalk flutes, that the grit will safely remove the exterior dried husk off the shafts. For gourd crafting, this wheel will assist in removing dried scale on surface down to the basic brown surface. The unit is made to be put into a bench grinder, but can be used with a mandrel and can be inserted into a desk up-right drill press. Average median speed recommended for stripping work. The disk can be turned over for reverse wear on the tips. Very useful item in the shop for burnishing. Remember to use eye protection and to always wear gloves. Leather protective apron is also recommended.

I am only disappointed in the cutting ability
I find that this wheel does something my other tools don't do. I can sand in the corner of a wood bowl. I am only disappointed in the cutting ability. If the company made a 40 Grit or even a 20 grit I would buy them. I have 80, 120, and 240 grit and I use them all the time on my wood bowls.

Needs improvment
This product is good for deburring metal parts, on wood it does not seem to remove material like you might expect. It acts nothing like sandpaper.

Works well
I needed to sand some round posts that were very cruddy. Sanding by hand or palm sander just wasn't good. I installed this wheel on my bench grinder, and was happy with the sanding result. The effect was that of hand sanding. Very smooth.

Bought as one of the steps to reclaim old school raw aluminum rims. Works very well. Started with ~80 grit then to 120 and then to polishing compounds - - -
