Love, love, oh no

I really liked this salad dressing shaker. It was so easy to measure, shake and serve. But then, after ~ 6 mo., the spring-activated handle, on the lid, broke at the pivot point. I've looked for a lid replacement, but haven't been able to find. Going to try a different manufacturer/design.

Although presented in the description as a sprayer, and presented on Amazon with "view similar items" that are sprayers, this item is NOT a sprayer. It is a mixer/pourer.

Best Bottle

This is an excellent blender bottle. Well made it features English and metric measurements on one side amounts in cups and potions thereof on the other. The cap is truly leak proof and you can shake to your heart is content. The cap is easy to open and it pours without dribbling. Easy to clean this bottle is wonderful for mixing dressings or marinades.

I'm in love.

This review is for the "Misto" Tritan Salad Dressing Bottle, in gray. So, I have given my husband notice that we are soon to be divorced, because I am marrying this dressing dispenser. It's perfect in every way. Clear, easy-to-read measurements on the side; intuitive pouring mechanism that doesn't get clogged up and doubles as a handle. Shakeable with a sturdy button-lock mechanism. Made of "Tritan" (who are they kidding? that's just a fancy word for melanine), so it's not breakable if dropped. Easily washed in the top rack of the dishwasher. I make my own dressings. My family safeguards a treasured, multi-generational recipe for balsamic vinaigrette — of all the darn things they could have passed down. Rumor has it (*cough* Aunt Corrine *cough*) that this recipe originated from my great-great grandmother, Thérèse Mathilde, who came over on the boat from France in 1902. Who knows if this is actually true, but the matriarchs of our family have sworn cousins, new brides, and grandkids to absurd levels of secrecy with this recipe — I'm talking "take it to the GRAVE"-level stuff here. Anyway, now that you know way too much about my family history, how we're all absolutely bats**t over salad dressing, and the marital drama this Misto dispenser has caused, surely that's enough to convince you of how perfectly functional and fantastic it is. If you're in the market for a dressing dispenser, you can stop looking now. This is the one. Just make sure to put it in your prenup if marriage is on the horizon.

Hard to pour

The spout gums up almost immediately, especially if you shake the contents to mix it up in there. This makes it very difficult to pour. And dressing sticks all over the outside of the spout as well. The lid is just messy.
