different colors = different style
4 stars not five because....Ordered 5 in total for Christmas gifts. Different colors were a different shape/style. So that was kind of weird. One was for me and I do like it.

Looks great, won't break but be warned you have to pump air into it to make it work
I am definitely a fan of cooking spray. I prefer using olive oil. Off the shelf grocery store options are expensive and I felt silly throwing away the cooking spray can when I was done with it all too soon. I happily used a glass sprayer until the inevitable happened and it broke as glass does when it drops on a tile floor. This sprayer is made out of aluminum and does not break. I have dropped it several times now with no damage to the sprayer, my floor or my toes. It looks good, I like the deep red color. The downside to this product (,which wasn't clear to me from the product description) is that you literally have to pump air into this every time you want to use it. It's pretty simple, the top is designed to act as an air pump. You pump it 10-20 times. If you don't do that, no spray. If you do it too little, spray is uneven. NOt sure why this nice aluminum version requires pumping when the glass sprayers do not. I am keeping this and will continue to use it, but it's not the ideal sprayer.

Good
This was my second try at getting a refillable oil sprayer. The first was an absolute failure. This one I washed it, I filled it halfway like the instructions said, I put it back together. All it would do was spit. I was so frustrated I took it apart and cleaned it again. I put it back together, pump pump pump. Still couldn’t get it to work. I tried pumping the cap slower, and that was apparently the magic key. It wasn’t the product, it was me. If you’re struggling to make yours work, try a slower pump. Seems good now and I’m looking forward to using this to cut my spray oil can waste.

Pump and spray
It worked well for a few days, but after wards it took a hot soak to unclog the dried-up oil. if was filled with more of a water constant liquid it would work great. Recommendation is to soak it before you refill it each time, even if it does not look like it needs to be washed. but to fill it is easy and I had not leak issues. the pump to add air pressure works fine, but the cap on one of them came unglued from the plastic pieces inside.

Best oil sprayer yet
I've had several oil sprayers and most didn't spray, they shot a stream of oil no matter how much you pumped them up. They also required frequent cleaning but once the orifice got plugged you might as well throw the sprayer away. This aluminum one seems to project a consistent spray. So far, no plug problems However, you must release the pressure after each use and pump it up again the next time you want to spray something and don't fill the container more than halfway. It requires about 75 pumps to get the proper pressure and spray pattern.

Great - but like cast iron it requires know how and care
What do the Misto sprayer, wooden spoons, and cast iron pans have in common? They all require care and cleaning at the expense of convenience - and they are worth the trouble...if you want to put up with the trouble. Does the Misto sprayer spray as evenly as a disposable compressed olive oil sprayer? Not quite, but close. Does that matter? Not really. Will it spit and sputter if you don't clean it? Yep. Do I think it's worth it? Yes. Here's why. 1). It saves me money. I can use premium olive oil in this vs. mediocre/higher quality disposable sprayers and come ahead after three uses. I've filled it more than 20 times so far. 2). I can choose what to put in it. Changing oils is a cinch. I'm not stuck with one. 3). It's better for the environment - even if that doesn't float your boat see 1) and 2). BUT...you have to know how to use it and care for it. How, you ask? Follow these instructions. A). Fill it no more than halfway - like they say in the instructions. 2). When it's half full, pump it more than they say in the instructions. When it's more empty, pump it waaaay more. It'll spray better and longer. As you use it you'll, get the hang of it. iii). When it's empty, fill it halfway with hot soapy water, pump it up, and spray it out. Rinse the container and repeat with clean water. Then refill with oil. d). Never, ever, remove the spray button on top and attempt to clean it. You'll be sorry if you do. Oh, and don't store it pressurized. If you use a high quality balsamic vinegar and leave it inside, it'll skin over and clog the sprayer. So if that happens, depressurize it and clean the pick up tube. I actually use the glass version of this for vinegars so I can see inside when this happens. Bottom line - If you don't mind the maintenance, it'll save you money and allow you to use any any oil/vinegar/whatever. If you want consistent fine spray every time, use pre-charged disposable olive oil sprayers at $4-$10 a bottle.

This mister is a bit better than my previous one, but it still doesn't produce as fine of a mist as I would like. I am using extra light olive oil, but still not get some rather big drops of oil with each spray. It is easy to use, but I am concerned about over pumping/pressurizing it and causing it to break or wear out too soon.

What I expected
I was going to get a clear sprayer which would have been easier to see how much oil I have left but I saw those break around where it screws together so I got the red one. I can feel how heavy it is to know when to add more oil. The hole is big enough for me to fill it without a funnel. The first time I used it the spray came out as a misted spray but now sprays more in a stream but still sprays. I found if you pump it up about 10 times and hold it up right to spray it's more of a stream so I quickly tilt it down then it sprays better. You have to keep doing this to suck it up the internal straw then tilt it back down which is no big deal for me. It does seem to get really dirty and oily around the sprayer and under where it sprays out which is the thing that bothers me the most and I'm always wiping it. I know this is not an aerosol so it's not going to work like a can that has propellant. I'm happy with it for the price as long as it keeps working. I use it for butter flavored oil on my popcorn and works for what I needed it for. I think the complaints are from people expecting it to work like spray oil from the store and they are too picky. If I get a year out of this thing for the price I will be satisfied.

It works fine. compact design
It works fine. It however is smaller than I expected , so I am refilling it more than I expected.

It works but its not perfect
So this sprayer does produce a nice fine mist of oil, but only after a lot of pumps of the lid and then the spray doesn't last for that long so you have to pump again. So it does the job, but its also slightly irritating.

Useless
Was hoping this would help to save calories but it doesn’t work .you can pump way and it doesn’t spray out with a fine mist at all it squirts out a stream of oil .not as shown on box

the new, crappier Misto ... a hunk of junk
I bought a set of 3 MIsto sprayers at COSTCO over 7 years ago -- kept one and gave two away. I cook a lot with olive oil so I use it to spray frying pans and spray olive oil on fish and meats before grilling (and sometimes spray the BBQ. The one I got back in 2011 worked very well and my 'old' one would have been fine, but my puppy got at it and chewed the nozzle. So I ordered a 'new' one and I've never been more disappointed in the decline of a product than the new, crappier Misto. It leaks, it doesn't spray (it sputters), the pump-lid plastic throat is much thinner and cheaper so its already warped. I had it on a plate next to my salt and pepper grinders and it leaked all of its oil, so I had to empty the grinders and soak them in hot water with dishwashing liquid. I'm going to a local gourmet kitchen supply shop (in Vancouver) and look for another oil sprayer. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if you expect to use it for over a week. Its a hunk of junk!

PERFECT AND STYLISH
After a previous failure with another product I really really appreciate how perfect Misto is. Sprays an even mist of oil it doesnt jet oil in one place like others... fine mist ...just perfect! I will buy another one to have different oils for my Ninja.
