A Very Simple And Clean Designed Bowl Is The Ideal Size For My Medium Sized Fur Kid
The Spot Heavy Ceramic High Gloss Dog Bowl By Ethical Products has a very simple and clean design. I was really surprised to find that the bowl was not placed in a manufacturer-provided box. I consider myself really lucky as the bowl was placed in a bubbled sleeve and sent in a bubbled envelope. I'm not certain if the manufacturer sent all of its products simply on a palette directly to Amazon but I am counting my lucky stars that the bowl arrived intact and without any chips or cracks. The manufacturer states that the bowl is 7" and when measured the bowl I received is slightly longer with a height of 2.5". The inner lining paint job for this bowl is adequate but not great. I could see where the paint was noticeably thinner and uneven. There are no silicone feet at the base of the bowl so if you have a hungry dog who eats with vigor, the bowl will slide around as your dog enjoys his meal. I have a plastic mat which my dog's bowls sit on so this was not an issue for us. The ceramic bowl has a good weight to it where it is neither too light or too heavy. The size of the bowl is ideal for my medium sized fur kid. The piece is easy to hand wash and dry. The bowl is Made in China. I think the bowl overall works well for my dog.

Cracking
Not sure I am totally interested in getting more of these but the bowls are fragile and sensitive to drops. Definitely fragile and more easily broken than most bowls I've owned. I am not sure they will endure the drops and bangs when it comes to feeding a larger dog, but smaller dogs should be ok.

Arrived broken
I was looking forward to using this as a water bowl for my three cats. Unfortunately, it arrived broken. Not a problem with the bowl itself, but it was put into a box with other items, and not wrapped in bubble wrap.

Not painted well
Unfortunately the glaze paint did not cover the complete bowl. Not sure how long the bowl will last with unsealed areas.

Arrived broken twice
I wish I could rate this bowl. It looks to be a beautiful dog dish. Unfortunately, it arrived broken. I was able to quickly get it replaced. And then the replacement for it arrived broken. Seems to be made of cheap material. Easily chips because not only were they cracked into pieces, there are little chips out of the broken pieces too. I had high hopes but I am just outright disappointed.

Beautiful
Go this to replace a metal water bowl for my pup. This is a very nice heavy bowl that looks stylish as well. The finish on the inside makes it easy to clean. I also love the outside, neutral finish. This bowl will not tip over. If you plan to use it for a dog bowl, it will stay put and not tip. Back to the size, I'd say it's big enough to hold 4 cups of kibble with room to prevent spilling over. My pup gets about 1.5 cups of kibble at a feeding, and that would cover the bottom of the bowl at about 1-inch depth. Hope this review is helpful :)

Simple and Attractive Dog Bowl
The SPOT by Ethical Products Ceramic Dog Bowl is a nice gift to spoil your favorite furry friend with. The bowl is simple and attractive, and I love its minimalistic look. The grey glaze on the outer edge is evenly painted on and the bowl is lightly glazed so it has a soft shiny sheen. The bowl is fairly shallow, but wide, which isn't ideal for dogs with long ears, but works great for my pointy-eared Papillon. It is 2.5" tall (not 3" as in the stock photo!), 7" in diameter, and holds 3 cups of liquid with a little over half an inch to spare. I could probably fit in another cup of liquid, but I personally don't like my dog watering the floor around him. It works perfectly fine for food as well and you should be able to put 3-4 cups of food in it, depending on if you use kibble or wet food. My dog only eats about a cup of food a meal and he seemed to like the wide surface to eat off of. The only issue one might have with the bowl is that there are no nonslip tabs/stickers on the bottom, so if you have a bowl pushing dog, the bowl may slide everywhere. The bowl does stay in place fairly well if you put it on a silicone mat. At the ~$10 price point, it's a reasonable price for something your dog will use daily. Overall, it's a good-quality dog bowl that's worth considering.
