GOOD..... LIGHT.... but buy extra sets.
I got 3 dogs that want to go out every hour no matter what it is out and hunt for things even in the middle of winter when nothing is out. These work good but are easy to lose and have to hunt for (doesn't help they dart from a stand still to run & bark at anything that might have a animal) but the velcro would stay if your dog doesn't go crazy with the mind set its going to catch something every minute of the day. Doesn't interfere with the dogs doing their business. Does keep there feet from freezing in below 0 temps. No more holding their paws up under 2 minutes and me caring them where they like to go. When it's -10 I had to would rush them out front and they would lift within a couple minutes but with these in the same temp they will run out back in the woods and I have to call them to come inside after 10-15 minute, I'm outback too they just forget about me and go all over til it's time to go in. Cold never bothered them before but now their 9 and only one will go out and stay no matter how cold it is even at -25, though I judge how long to keep em out by how my legs and face feel not my feet cuz I have boots on a. These aren't water proof and a type of fleece material. So its probably not the warmest stuff, their feet aren't cold when they come in, but is easy to dry them on a heating vent and easy to tell if they are completely dry before they go out again, other types will feel dry but be damp inside. I wouldn't want go out in wet stuff. These would not be good for walks. rock salt and slush would soak into them. But they go into snow not melted/wet so they stay dry for the time they are out but get wet when they are in and i take them off.

They do the job
I bought these to replace the original set that I purchased about 5 years ago. I originally bought them for the winter because we live in a development and the landscapers tend to use 10 times more snow melt than needed and it would burn my little boy's feet. These did the trick. Feet still got a little wet because they are not waterproof but at least the snow melt stayed out of his feet. The originals are finally showing wear. The elastic stretched out and the stitching on the pads gave way. They also started to show some tearing. However, my dog had an issue with his front foot and was using one all day long inside and out. Considering the amount of time he was in them, they held up pretty well. Ordered the new set mostly for in the car. My husband has a new car so we use these to cover his feet to prevent him from scratching the car when he looks out the window. Works great for not scratching the car. He doesn't see to mind having them on. At first it took a little time to get used them, now he sticks is foot out for us to put them on. They are great for pets with sensitive feet or if you landscapers use chemicals on your lawn. I would definitely recommend them.

Did exactly what I need, but far from perfect.
These are exactly what they say they are. They appear the be built of decent to good quality, but not amazing...Will probably wear out sooner than most people would expect, it's a thin piece of felt. The strap that goes around the leg is elastic with velcro, so you can tighten it not to slip off, it's easy to get on, and there's still some flexibility for when the dog walks and it doesn't cut off circulation. The boots, along with most others that don't have a firm rubber base will slip and spin around so that the little rubber pad is not on the bottom. The pad on these boots is not very grippy in my opinion so it's not a huge difference for my dog when it spins. These are not designed to be used outdoors or especially in wet/snow climates as the felt will become soaked instantly. I needed these to cover the nails on my dogs paws because he kept scratching his face and we didn't want to put a lamp shade on him, so for me they're perfect even with the flaws.

shipping costs more than the booties
These arctic boots, made of fleece with a small velcro tab for closure and a small sewn on patch on the bottom (where their pad would be) worked for my small dog once I fought with him to get them on. anyone buying these should e-mail the seller first and ask what size is recommended for there breed of dog. the small print in the ad says to measure the dog for a more accurate fit but its harder to do this than its said and the package they arrived in, has a great sizing chart size on the back for a variety of different breeds, which sellers should use and show instead of what they suggest. Also know that the shipping is more expensive than the product itself which doesnt make alot of sense to me since fleece weighs maybe an ounce and they were also sent in a large padded envelope.? fleece boots are not good in real wet conditions for obvious reasons or on icy terrain because the bottom patches tend to give in to sliding. however, they do work fine in dry cold and snow and gives at least, some protection.

Polar fleece is nice, but the eleastic, velcro tabs and pad don't last.
These boots are easy to put on a Shih Tzu and the only boot I have found that my dog can walk in. I have four pairs, but the problem is the round rubbery on the bottom of the foot, cracks after about four walks and pretty soon the threads that attach the pad to the fleece start to come out and in a week or two (f not sooner, the pads fall off and/or is totally cracked. In the winter, I am constantly re-stitching the pads or snipping the cracked pieces ff and cutting out some new material which I have to glue and then stitch to the bottom. Plus, the quality of the velcro and elastic are poor. In no time, the elastic deteriorates and the velcro no longer sticks. I have had to replace the elastic and the velcro tabs on all 12 of the little boots I have. Eveb though I keep my dogs nails trimmed, they end up poking through the fleece on the toe area, so it is a never ending task to sew the holes.

You'll need a sewing machine to secure the velcro
After a single use, the velcro tabs were coming apart from the elastic. Secured with a zigzag stitch. If you don't have a sewing machine or mind having to do this, I wouldn't purchase these. As it is, they're the only purchased booties that can usually stay on. The heavier, more expensive ones don't work for our boy.

there is only a small amount of Velcro .which is a problem but other than that they are very good

Order after measuring feet. Good for dry conditions or indoor use.
Unfortunately there is no size chart posted by the vendor, so ordering is a bit of a gamble. When they arrive the packaging does have a chart and if you found these in a retail store it would be easy to pick up the right ones. Here is the sizing chart: XL: 4 3/4" or 12.1 cm / L: 4 1/4" or 10.8 cm / M: 3 3/4" or 9.5 cm / S: 3 1/4" or 8.3 cm / XS: 2 3/4" or 7.0 cm / XXS: 2 1/4" or 5.7 cm / XXXS: 1 1/2" or 3.8 cm - measure from top of your dogs nail to the end of the paw pad. Many people say that these are a lifesaver for cold days or for protecting the paws from salt, which is true with these notes: they are only made of fleece with a grip pad on the bottom, so they will keep your pets feet warm on cold, but not freezing days and protect from the salt in dry conditions / as they are not waterproof, they aren't suitable for when it is raining or there is snow on the ground. Doggy snow boots would be needed in those conditions. I am not sure I will be using them outdoors, unless it is for a short trip in and out of the car (I wouldn't walk in fleece booties outside), but if she takes to them, they might be good as slippers and keep her paws warm when walking on my ceramic tiles. The XS fit my 45lb Ibizan hound - she is a pup and this will be her first winter, so when I put one on her paw she looked very confused. The Velcro strap is very good and does keep the boot securely in place. They are very reasonably priced and worth the purchase.

Poor quality. They have made them cheaper.
For the past many years, I’ve purchased a set of these boots from the same manufacturer and they have lasted the season. They were used very often on their own or under waterproof boots for deep snow activity. I purchased two sets this year and both sets have disintegrated. The rubber padding is thinner and just feel apart and my dogs nails ripped through the fleece. Why am I surprised, everything is just a little bit cheaper for larger profits. You have lost my business

Good value if your dog only walks on snow
I honestly think these boots are the best value for money IF your dog is walking only on snow. I have an 85lb labradoodle. When we used these only at the dog park they were fantastic to prevent snow/ice balls in his feet. But if he walks on a hard surface at all they shred pretty quickly. He has pretty big feet and the boots were very easy to get on and off, stayed on and didn't bother him at all. One warning though, I would immediately remove that plastic thing thats looks like its supposed to be for traction. It is dangerously slippery on snow. We initially got the boots to stop him from slipping because of a back injury. The plastic circle caused him to fall even more. Not cool. BUT with that removed - because it ripped off the next day in the parking lot - it was pretty good. TLDR - these are good for preventing ice/snow balls. Good for big feet. Rip off the plastic circle for your dogs safety. If used on pavement will shred instantly. Dog didnt mind them and they stayed on. We ultimately purchased a pair that sound like mucklucks and it was totally worth the investment.

Watch what size you order!
These boots are exactly what I had wanted. Lightweight yet durable enough for at least one winter's wear. Pad on the bottom of the paw is supple enough not to give a small dog problems with comfortably walking. However... I ordered a small and what arrived is large enough to fit a Husky! There was no size chart to help me decide what to order. I had to use customer comments and they were not clear. Let me be clear for you all, so you can choose wisely. The company makes X large down to XXX small, though presently they do not tell you that here. XXX small is for a toy poodle or Maltese XX small is for a Jack Russell Terrier X small a Sheltie or Poodle Small- Beagle.... AIN'T no way this boot fits a Beagle! Other than that I would have been thrilled with this purchase and said so. Perhaps the seller can create clearer product information and not leave this to us.
