Better than I thought!
This device is easy to use, easy to clean and overall I would recommend it. I am the owner of a veggety manual spiralizer which hurts my hand after spirilizing a few zucchini. I also own a very fancy food processor with a spiralizer feature which I love, but I recognize it's not practical to assemble unless and clean unless I will use it a lot. I wanted to give my mom a gift as she's always admiring the spiralized veggies I make, but I knew neither of the options I have were right for her. This Cuisinart device made sense for her because it has all the practical aspects of a hand held device, such as no assembly and easy to clean, but it has a crank which makes it extremely easy to use and will not hurt your hands. My mom and I just used it to prepare zucchini in the three different thicknesses achievable (thick, think julienne and thin julienne) AND potatoes! We made the potatoes into thin julienne, sprayed the with olive oil and tossed them in the air fryer for this really cute little nests of crunchy potato. She loved it and will use it frequently.

Spurious Spiralizer
All I want to do is spiralize zucchini. I couldn't do it. I did manage to make a chain of sweet potato medallions, but that wasn't what I wanted. Maybe I'll try again, but as for now, I give up; I can give up zucchini, too. At least it was easy to clean; the spiralizer I had before made spirals, but to clean it, I had to soak it for 3 days and pick pieces of zucchini out with a turkey skewer.

Spiral-less cuts
I purchased this product from Costco (not Amazon) and returned it after the first use. It did not cut through the sweet potato properly to create actual spirals. Rather, it cut into the potato, leaving discs with circular tracks partially through them. I had several other people attempt to use this and they also got the same results. I think the one we got - well, I think the blades were not long enough. I typically like Cuisinart products, so this was a real disappointment.

I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy
Tried to spirilize zucchini that were perfect. What I got was a lot of mush, inconsistent spirals if at all. Instructions not helpful. This is leaving my house.

Paper thin spirals…not julienne
I think the blades aren’t long enough because I get spiral « julienne » so thin that you can’t even steam it without having mush. The julienne part shows thick and thin cut …but there is no thick. You have to push down really hard on the top. Shredding it on my electric cuisinant with shredding blade is thicker. I’d send it back if I could….it’s just been sitting in my cupboard for over a year. Like somebody said….forget beets, carrots, sweet potatoes unless you are a linebacker….and then you would probably break it trying to get the tiny tiny blades to cut julienne.

Don't Waste Your Money
Don't waste your money on this product. Shame on Cuisinart for marketing such a poorly designed item and getting people to buy it for the name. Spend a bit more and get something you can actually use. This is unstable, the top flips off while in use and the blades are not sharp. What a waste of money.
