Not heavy and makes good coffee
I wanted to use this percolator for a while before reviewing. I have found it makes good coffee, and I can use fewer coffee beans than my previous percolator. It is lightweight. So much so I worried about its sturdiness, but no problems have occurred... so a great percolator if you struggle with a heavy percolator. It cleans up well, stays shiny. Coffee is delicious, won't get that "green coffee" bitterness/burn that happens within 30 mins on an automatic drip hot plate. Coffee stays fresh for at least an hour. The only downside is the glass percolator top is fixed, rather than removeable for cleaning, so I have to use a little brush to clean up inside it. I recommend this percolator if you like grinding fresh beans. No paper filter means saved $. A great percolator!

Lasted 3 1/2 months
Started at one star, now updated to a four. If you want a percolator that lasts approximately 115 days then this is the one for you. Other than that it is a perfectly fine percolator. Update 3/22/2023 To be fair customer service did respond, kind of weird, they sent a new cord even though I told them I already had put a multimeter on the female side and it was at 120V or so. Anyway now they wanted a picture of the old cord cut at one end along with a picture of the coffee pot. I sent it, maybe customer service will send a new pot, will keep people updated. There is hope. I will give them credit if it is appropriate. UPDATE TO FOUR, new pot arrived, the cord and picture weirdness OK now, wait for customer service on phone - it happens everywhere, I adapt. Now I have a new coffeepot, Cuisinart did right by me, wife is happy, all is good.

Serviceable but with reservations
Works fine, but after 6 months, I'm switching to a different coffee maker because: 1. No turn off switch. Once plugged in, you have to remember to unplug it or it will stay on. 2. Very difficult to see the water measurement lines. They are metal stamped on the inside of the pot and not at all easy see when filling the pot with water. A pain.

Rocking it Old School
I recently remodeled my kitchen and went for a Mid Century Modern design. Since the only appliance I would have sitting on my counter would be a coffee pot, I decided to go 'old school' when I saw this percolator. I distinctly remember us having one of these as a kid so I figured I'd give it a try. Total convert! Not sure why we've gotten away from this type of coffee maker but I'm so glad I bought this. The coffee is excellent, it's actually hotter than what you get with a standard drip coffee maker. And it looks fantastic sitting on the counter in my new kitchen.

Lid of coffee pot goes on easily. My farberware pot did not.
Making my coffee. Love it.

Excellent coffee
I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. The coffee is much better than our drip. I was amazed by the time it takes start to finished perked coffee, which is 7 minutes! It perks within about a minute. The cleaning is pretty easy and easily done in a sink. I started buying Maxwell house and I am very happy with flavor in this percolator. The coffee is hotter than our drip maker. The biggest reason was getting away from plastic, which every drip maker has hot water continually pouring over plastic, this can’t be good over time. We had a Keurig coffee maker but these plastic k cups worry me also, I have no way to test for plastics and now I don’t need to worry about it. I feel this is absolutely a healthy move for my family. Don’t ever see me moving back to the plastic coffee makers. Update- we have made Starbucks veranda, pikes peak and Tim Hortons, and all tasted better than drip. I have been using the marks in the basket for cups of coffee and it’s been working great! We started getting more grounds in coffee if going above the 12 cup mark for coffee basket. I did use the disc filters at bottom of basket, and if I used more than 12 I put another filter on top of the grounds and this reduced the grounds in coffee. The issue I see is because it perks fast it fills the basket and grounds come out the top of basket. There are really not a lot of grounds without doing this. I also use a blue scrub pad on inside of the pot where the percolator pipe sits, it’s an easy clean. To be honest I clean this better than the drip and feel better about it. I am super happy with it. Getting rid of plastics makes me feel much better. I still can’t believe how quick it works.

Not for us
Doesn't keep coffee hot enough after it's perked

Does not have a base that plugs in
Thought I was getting a percolator that had a base that plugs in and that the percolator sits on and can simply be lifted on and off. Unfortunately the one I got does not have a base. The cord just plugs directly into the percolator. It's removable which is good. But just not what I was expecting.

For the US Market
110v appliance. Comes with a US lead only. Didn't see anything in the instructions to say it was safe to use on a 220v (UK) system. Contacted the manufacturer to ask. The generic response of "a list of our products is on our website" was worthless. Who can say if this is safe to use in the UK (well the manufacturer didn't) so what would my insurers have said if there was a fault and a fire? Returned. Amazon brilliantly gave me a full refund and free return shipping. Thank goodness I bought it through them.

Be prepared to perform some coffee science...
This is my first percolator, been a French press guy for several years now because I like my coffee thick and chewy. Had two presses break in two years though, all stainless steel so thought I'd try this old school method. First pot was a fail, ended up with coffee flavored water. This was concerning seeing most of the reviewers indicate the coffee was too strong. Also after the first pot there was a burning plastic smell, things didn't look positive. Second pot I ground the coffee a lot more, at least to the consistency of a regular grind. Was a lot better, but still not chewy. Third pot I ground to a fine grind and it was better still, a bit of grounds ended up in the coffee but still less than a French press. The burning plastic smell had disappeared. The wife then suggested that I just try less water. This had not occurred to me as an option. Mind. Blown. Did the fourth pot as the same fine grind but limited to 10 cups of water. Had close to chew, and some very good body. Just finished the fifth pot with 9 cups of water, bingo! Coffee is as thick and chewy as with my French press, less mess, and I love that it keeps it hot. With 9 cups of water it is enough for four big mugs of coffee, two for each of us. I was worried, but I think the percolator is underrated, wouldn't be surprised if some people give up without doing a bit of coffee science to find the right mix. Unit seems solid, well built. Saw some questions about having a light, the light doesn't come on until the brewing is complete. This is not an issue though because you'll know it's on within seconds of plugging it in. Would have given it five stars if it would have had a start switch so you could leave it plugged in, and then ideally like a 2 hour timer to shut off the stay warmer element. No one wants coffee that had been sitting around for two hours anyways. The power cable is a standard computer cable which is nice and universal. Overall happy with the result, but be prepared to do some coffee science to find the best brew for your own tastes.

This is the best coffee maker I've even had
I'm a sixty year old coffee lover and have had a lot of coffee machines. This one, because it's stainless steel, makes a truly great cuppa. Plastic coffee makers always give off some slight plastic toxins into your coffee, but this does not. So, just from a Good Health perspective it's a great thing. Easy to use, to clean and makes great tasting, hot, coffee.

Percolated Coffee is Excellent
This is the second one of these I've purchased. Both are still going strong and they work perfectly. Guests often compliment me on my coffee and I say it is the Quisinart Percolator plus Lavazza Rossa coffee. Your favorite brand will do though.

poor quality
The coffee is very good, but does not keep the coffee warm enough to drink, first cup is OK but the temperature quickly drops to a tepid temperature. Find I need to microwave the coffee if I want a hot cup. Laying a tea towel over the pot helps to keep it somewhat warmer, still not enough for my taste. After approximately 5 months the plastic top broke off when I tried to remove the lid, top is very fragile plastic. I am glad it did not break while the pot was percolating, as it would have spurted coffee all over the kitchen counter and floor. You can buy a replacement top for $30, but who want's to spend $60+ dollars every year on coffee pot parts.
