Good sound for the money.
The object of these sound machines are basically for two purposes. Falling asleep and meditation. If this were my product I would have included several meditations versions at different rhythms. However, it is well made with decent sounds and a very fair exchange for the money. Perhaps the next version will include sounds to match the various alpha waves. I use it daily and I am satisfied.

For those nights when the neighborhood sounds are driving you bonkers
During the hottest times of the year, I generally keep a window open and a fan running to move the air and mask neighborhood sounds, but what about when there is really no need for a fan? My daughter uses a white noise generator in my granddaughter's room so why not one for Grandpa? After researching the various machines out there, I decided to give this unit a try. This decision was based on both the features and the cost. This unit has more sounds than I expect I will actually use, but since you never know what kind of sound will work best for you and for what ambient sound situation you are dealing with, more choices are better than not enough, and with 16 selectable sounds, this unit should satisfy just about everyone. And, they are all adjustable to customize them to your exact need. Being a country boy at heart, I tend towards the natural sounds, which are very realistic (these are based on actual sounds but are being generated more or less randomly (that is, not running on a loop or anything). My personal favorites are rainfall (without thunder), brook (no rushing river or wildlife, thank you very much), and ocean (gentle waves and some quiet gulls are a nice touch, but stay away from the foghorn and large waves). If you are a city dweller who is frightened by the night sounds of the countryside, you can also choose from several town/city sound fields and even "homey" sounds such as bathtubs, clothes driers and fireplaces. Or you could just use one of the two actual fan sounds, or even white, pink, or brown noise, but natural rather than mechanical is my preference. All of the sound fields can be customized over four levels of intensity and adjusted for volume. Your ambient sound situation can also be automatically factored in using the unit's adaptive setting (which I have not tried, given that I have found several sounds that truly work for me). I have not used the timer function as I think having it suddenly go quiet in the middle of the night would be disconcerting. All of this is wrapped up in a modern, sleek case (OK, maybe it's not a shape that will appeal to everyone, but I think it is modern, uncluttered, and interesting). I love this machine and would recommend it to anyone looking to mask other, less restful sounds or just seeking to escape the silence.

We won't go to bed without turning this on.
First and foremost, there are a lot of sound settings on this device. The wife and I had fun running through each of them until we found one that we both really liked. This helps in so many ways. It provides a soothing background noise that blocks out the random noises from the neighborhood and the occasional snoring from you know who. We were really impressed with the sound quality and how long a loop there was on the sounds. The loop seems seemless because of how long they are. We are also impressed with the volume control. We tend to keep the volume nearer the lower level, but in the dark it is very easy to reach over and turn it up if need be. Also, the speakers on it are great. A question was asked about travel. Since I purchased this in Aug 2022 (it's now May of 2023) we have traveled a few times and have kept it in our travel bag. It's not compact, but it's small enough to put in a duffel bag or suitcase just fine. It is not cordless, but we prefer that. We don't have to worry whether we've charged it or not, we just turn it on, turn off the lights, and go to sleep. We don't try to go to sleep any longer without turning this on first.

Randomly shuts off
I bought this sound machine, and have been using it for a year, for our 2 month old (now 13 months) after discovering the noise of a hair dryer worked better to put and keep him to sleep than the little baby owl nightlight/sound machine did because it was far too quiet. A hairdryer isn't very safe to run all night, so I searched far and wide for a loud sound machine when I came across this one. This has all of the settings, volumes, sounds and sound adjustments you could possibly dream of and it's perfect for us.... HOWEVER, it will randomly shut off with no reason and no timer settings being turned on. After I unplug it over and over again, I can usually get it to stay on and work fine until it decides to start shutting off again a few days or weeks later. This is super inconvenient when my baby wakes up crying in the middle of the night because he notices it being off..or if I manage to notice it's off before he does, I then have to quietly scramble around in his pitch dark room to mess with the cord and turning the device off and on over and over until I can get it to stay on- which then eventually wakes him up too. For so much money on a sound machine I surely would expect better basic functions to work properly :(

Much better than running a fan all night.
I have a lot of trouble sleeping at night and this thing helps a good bit. It has a bunch of different kinds of noises to make. I only use one and there are a LOT - so glad I picked this, because if I'd gotten a less featured device, it might not have had the sound that worked. I used to use a fan, but the vibration from all the stuff moving and the room getting cold are sub-optimal for my needs. My air filter has a creepy blue light that's on all night, and I was tired of putting a folded towel over the display. The best thing is you can push a button to turn the little lights off, so it doesn't glow all night.

Very Good
I purchased as a stop gap until my Bose sleepbuds was replaced . I wasn't really sure if it would be what i needed ,but i required something to plug the gap as i have become 100% reliant on sleeping aids . I was surprised to how effective it was i blocking out noise from the the neighbours and street when i was asleep . I would recommend this to anyone who needs a sleeping aid or something for relaxing for what ever reason , the other reviews are very positive on the whole . Must say It is not noise canceling ,it mask's noise meaning it blocks out noise with the noise you have created with your unit , and does a great job . And remember it will take a little time adapting to new way of sleeping or relaxing it is a little strange at first but if you give it time you will hopefully get to grips with it and see the benefit .

Avoid - third machine bought all faulty within one year
This will be the third machine I have bought from this company within eight years. I reported the sound blip that occurs right through when it plays. I was sent a memory card to replace the faulty one. This has occurred twice, two occasions, two different machines. Dont waste your money.

Unhelpful Supplier
Produce delivered with a USA only plug, instead of the international USA/EU/UK plug set. I contacted the supplier, and we agreed that I would retain the product and purchase a UK plug adaptor for an additional £6.50. The supplier agreed in writing to refund this cost to me. Five months and several emails later, still no refund and the supplier has now broken off communication. Very poor product supply and after sales service.

Excellent Machine and Excellent Customer Service
I bought this machine just over a year ago. I live in a flat that can have a lot of intrusive noise at night. This machine has helped a lot. The function that makes sounds become louder or quieter depending on the noise level around the machine has been particularly useful. When I had the machine just shy of a year one of the sounds stopped working. I was sent a replacement part without quibble. All communication was swift and when the replacement part did not resolve the problem I was sent a replacement machine. I have rarely if ever had such good customer service.
