seems t blow out a little hea but nothing substantial. It makes more noise than it serves a purpose for in my opinion. It was difficult to install as well since the instructions were not real clear. It goes all the way in the back of the fireplace on the bottom and it blows air up the back of the firebox and it comes out the top by the hood. It only uses like 18watts when its energized so at least its not going to raise your electric bill too much. ,

Moves Air Well But Noisy

I put this FIB100 in a ProCom Ventless Dual Fuel Stove-25,000 BTU, Thermostatic Control Model QNSD250T. Blower installs above the firebox on this stove. It fit well and works as expected but too much noise and the motor makes a random annoying sputtering sound. Sorry I purchased it and looking for other options. 2 Week Update: Pulled and gone to the parts box. Just too noisy and ruined peaceful nights by the fire. 10 Week Update: I built a custom replacement that moves as much air, is very quiet and cost much less. I made a custom frame and mounted 3 PC fans and a triple split pc fan power supply. This fireplace has a 15"x5" air intake on the back so it was a natural fit. Supplies as much airflow, is remarkably quiet and it's been running continuously for two months without problems. It's installed on the outside/back and pushes air through and over the firebox while installed nowhere near the heat. Fan: ARCTIC ACFAN00119A P12 PWM (Black/- Pressure-Optimised 120 mm Fan with PWM Power Supply: coolerguys Fan Power Supply 100-240V AC to 12V DC 1A Output 3PIN or 4PIN PWM Connector

Needed a little work, but great fan

I bought it despite all the reviews about it being loud. Install wasn't bad at all. Instructions were decent at best but got the point across. Wow was I disappointed when I started the little fan up. It was loud! Had a hair dryer type squal with little to no air output with almost a surging type sound like it was struggling to maintain speed. But wait, there's more.... The little black shield that protects the intake side of the squirrel cage was too close to the fan and causing it to be restricted. I pulled the cover back some and amazingly enough, it went virtually silent and airflow picked tremendously. I pulled it back a little more and it got better. Pulled it back to about an inch away from the fan and it didn't help anymore but i am thrilled with it now. Output is decent and fan is super quiet. The thermostat does suck, but that is the manufacturer of the fireplaces problem not really this kit in particular. All in all, happy with it

Confusing instructions

Very mis leading and confusing instructions. It took me 2 1/2 hours to install because instructions are confusing I finally put them down and just did my own thing. Still don't have thermostat in the correct place so the auto doesn't work I have to manually turn blower on. Other reviews say it is loud but it just sounds like a hairdryer on low. Works great otherwise.

Didn't fit or include all parts.

Took the fireplace apart to install the fan and first thing was it didn't include the plate to install the temp sensor. Went through the trouble of making 1 and go to put the fan in and it was way to big. Ordered the fib100 from way I got the fire place and it fit perfectly with all the parts I needed for the install. Waist of time.
